Hi everyone & welcome to the AAS blog today :)
I have 2 layouts to share today using the newly released Honey Chai collection from Kaisercraft.
This is another Kaisercraft collection where I really love the colours & patterns in the papers, and all the bits n bobs from the collectables pack - they are always full of so many great diecut pieces!
My first layout is
"Titanic Dry Dock"
I couldn't go past this bold orange Nutmeg paper for my background, mixed with the greens I've used to layer under the photo, as they went so well with the colours in photo.
I've added a bit of background work using Kaisercraft crackle stamp & Crafters Workshop stencil - Mini Tiny Circles.
Here's a close up of the main cluster - a mix of flowers & diecuts from the collectables pack.
Some 2Crafty Chevron bits with some added texture paste & coloured with some Key Lime Pie Glimmermist...plus there's a little peek at the background work & some
cute little butterflies from the collectables pack.
I've journaled straight onto the background paper, and the circles you can see is a strip of the Jillibean Soup Circles Placemat that I've cut up & covered in texture paste mixed with some gelatos for colour and I've also added the "dream" diecut piece from the Collectables pack to the centre of the circle. Next to it is a small piece of 2Crafty Circular Border that's been painted in Kaisercraft Pistachio acrylic paint.
My title using the stickers from the sticker sheet & AC Thickers...plus another small cluster of flowers & diecuts.
More of the Jillibean Soup placemat with another of the diecuts in the centre &
2Crafty Circular Border
And here is an overall view of the main area of the page....the pic is of me standing down inside the Titanic Dry Dock in Belfast..... and the rusty & moss covered bits behind me are the metal & wooden chocks that they use to place in under the ships when they are in dry dock - the sheer size of it when standing down in there was just amazing!
My second layout is based on the 1st April Stuck sketch
"The Giants Causeway"
Again I've played around with a bit of background work using another Kaisercraft stamp - Hexagon, as well as a Tim Holtz layering stencil - Burlap.
A small cluster of KC & Green Tara flowers, as well as Collectables diecuts & 2Crafty chipboard - Summer Leaf Stems
Here you can see some of the textured background work & another smaller cluster
Love those flying bird diecuts from the Collectables pack!
More stickers from the sticker sheet used in the title, along with some Prima alphas.
I've also used one of my new Prima stitching stamps randomly around the page :)
A few more stickers & diecuts...and some more of the background work
And here is an overall view of the main area of the page. Pic is of my hubby at the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland - such a fascinating and amazing place!!
That's all from me today....thanks so much for dropping by & I hope you have been inspired by this gorgeous collection. Have a lovely, safe Easter everyone!
