A Christmas to Remember using Cocoa Vanilla Studio Merry & Bright by Kerryn Fry

Good morning all!
Today's page is my second layout created with the collection
The photos are Christmas morning 2009,
Mr H was thrilled with his new Transformer.

The page started with a clean Bazzill Kraft Cardstock base.
I've torn some edges of the patterned papers
to layer under the photos.
The remaining piece was used across the top of the page.
The main paper used is Oh Christmas Tree,
then the colourful diagonal stripe piece is from Oh What Fun.
The Holly pieces are from the Die-cut Ephemera pack.

The Christmas Baubles, on either side of the title,
are also from the Ephemera Pack.
I've used foam tape to give them dimension
and hand drawn the strings with a black pen.
The words were hand cut from Oh What Fun,
they were added with foam tape and then
the bauble was decorated with Stickles Glitter Glue.

The Christmas Tree was hand cut from Oh What Fun.
I've added some sparkle with Stickles
and then created a trunk with Season's Greeting.

The embellishment cluster at the base of the photos
has been created with elements from the Ephemera Pack.
I've used foam tape to create layers in the cluster and
I've backed the frame with Season's Greeting.

The 2 Crafty title A Christmas to Remember
was painted with white gesso as a base.
I've then added a thick layer of Crystal Stickles Glitter Glue
to give the page that finishing sparkle.
Love the pink shimmer in the Crystal Stickles.

Amazing Day with Vicki Boutin Storyteller by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back with another one layout using the diverse and stunning colours from the Storyteller collection by Vicki Boutin!

Amazing Day

For this layout I have gone with a subtle background using Vicki Boutin Storyteller Stencils and some distress oxide inks. I created this background after deciding on how I was using the patterned papers, so that the circles tee up with my design.

Papers were chosen based on colours in my photo, the purple and orange dominated so I have used these, though gone with a softer orange tone, and added some multicoloured paper to add a little pop as the photo is at an amusement park.

Again I have fussy cut some of the butterflies from the Mariposa paper, it is too good not to!

I've hit the puffy stickers for a subtitle and that funky heart!

The cool strip across the bottom of the photos and the admit one tickets are both fussy cut from the plot paper. I've added the right here and now sticker and some more puffy hearts!

Finishing with a 2Crafty Chipboard title - perfect!

Smashin' it using Lady Pattern Paper Monsters in Space by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
The page I'm sharing today has been created with the collection kit,
This collection is so much fun and
there are plenty of pieces to hand cut for embellishments.
The photos are a 5 year old Mr H, taking on the big trampoline
with his cousins at Uncle Pete's house.

The page started with a Bazzill Kraft Cardstock base.
I have created the background effect using
Speckled Egg & Broken China Distress Oxide Inks
and a Vicki Boutin Stencil.
I've highlighted the centre of the pattern with a white gel pen.

Each piece of patterned paper used on the page
has been backed with Bazzill Raven cardstock
to give each layer clear definition.
I have hand cut the sun from the patterned papers,
the centre has been outlined with a black pen
and stuck down with foam tape.

The words and 3x4 card have all been cut from the papers.
All of the embellishments have been backed with cardstock as well.
The 2 Crafty small stars are from the Stars Pack.
They have been covered with Black Archival Ink
and add to the page with foam tape.

The monsters have been cut from the papers in the collection
and then backed with cardstock.
I've used them as the base for the title.
been covered with black ink as well,
it brings the touches of black on the page together.
The journaling and date have been added to the base cardstock.

Thanks for visiting the blog today.
Have a fabulous weekend,
hopefully plenty of crafting.

❤ You with Vicki Boutin Storyteller by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Still playing with the awesome Storyteller collection by Vicki Boutin.

❤ You

For this page I was inspired by the design of the Mosaic Patterned Paper and wanted to fussy cut it. To create my background decided to go with a kraft cardstock,  adding black gesso applied with an old credit card before using a Storyteller stencil and some gold paste.

I have then taken the red and blacks from my daughters top to add some patterned paper to the design. To embellish I have created 3 clusters, using VB embellishments, and tied together with some fussy cut butterflies and a pop of teal.

My Title from the Phrase Puffy Stickers to finish off the page.

Till next week

Christmas Cutie using Cocoa Vanilla Studio Merry & Bright by Kerryn Fry

Good morning all!
Today I have created my first page using the gorgeous collection,
Cocoa Vanilla Studio Merry & Bright.
The photos are my great-niece getting ready
for her first Christmas at her Nana's.
Christmas hats make the perfect props.

A Bazzill Kraft Cardstock base paper.
The background technique has been created with
I've added Ranger Stickles Glitter Glue to give
the background a little sparkle.

The 2 Crafty Bauble Ornaments have been covered with
coordinating Distress Paint colours to match the collection.
I've backed each bauble with the reverse side of Season's Greetings
and used gold ink on the tops of each bauble.
They have been added to the page with foam tape
and I've used a gold pen to draw in the strings.
The final layer is a swipe of gold ink to each bauble.

The embellishments are from the Die-Cut Ephemera pack
and have been added with foam tape.
A little more sparkle added with Crystal Stickles
to the flower centres in the embellishment clusters.

The Santa is from the Die-Cut pack,
I've used the glitter glue to decorate the hat.

The journal spot has been cut from Oh What Fun
and then embellished with die-cuts flowers,
ticket and banner.

More flowers to the bottom right of the photos,
with a few added leaves, all from the Ephemera pack.

The 2 Crafty title Christmas Cuties has been trimmed to Cutie,
it's been covered with gold ink to tie in with the baubles.

Thank you for visiting the Blog today.
Hope you have enjoyed the page.

Happy Soul with Vicki Boutin Storyteller by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back again with another share using the amazing Storyteller collection by Vicki Boutin:

Happy Soul

I love the rainbow pattern in the Composition paper and I have cut this along the rainbow and roughed up the edges to give some texture. Next I added some stamping with various stamps and a few hand drawn xxx's.

My background is a mix of Distress Oxides using the plastic bag technique and adding some sploshes. Next I have then stamped the butterflies with the Vicki Boutin Stamp & Die Set from this collection.

More fussy cutting from the floral paper - Fresh Cut and a mix of embellishments from the cardstock diecuts, sticker book and puffy thickers.

You Are Awesome using Lady Pattern Paper Monsters in Space by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
Today I'm sharing my second page created using
Lady Pattern Paper Minsters in Space kit Collection Kit.
The photos are Mr H at nearly 2,
playing outside on his slippery dip
on a lovely Autumn day.

I started the page with 12x12 Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock.
I have used clear gesso as a base coat
and then left the cardstock to dry completely.
The colours I have used in the background are
Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey, Stormy Sky
and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Inks.
Lots of water and plastic sheet to apply it to the cardstock.

When the Distress Oxides were dry,
I have splashed Black Ink onto the background.
The next layer of patterned paper squares
have been cut from the collection kit packaging.
Each square has been inked with Black Soot Distress Ink
and stuck down to form one large square.
I've used a black gel pen to add a stitched border
to the patterned paper square.

The small stars have been hand cut from patterned papers,
I've used foam tape to lift them on the background.
The 2 Crafty Circular Panel has been covered
with Black Archival Ink.
The 2 Crafty Stars have been covered
with Campfire Distress Paint.
The stars have been outlined with a black pen.

I've hand cut some monsters from the patterned papers
and the 3x4 sub title quotes.
The quote and the both photos have been backed with
Bazzill Raven Cardstock to define them on the colourful background.
Some elements have been given dimension with foam tape.

More hand cut monsters and small stars at the bottom of the page.
The date and journaling have been written with black pen,
straight on to the base cardstock.

has been covered with Black Archival Ink.
I've then hand cut some words from the patterned paper
to add to the title.

I had loads of fun creating this page
and made plenty of colourful mess!
I hope the page has inspired you to create.
Thank you for visiting the AAS blog today,
have a fab weekend, hopefully there is plenty of creating.

Lovely with Vicki Boutin Storyteller by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Happy New Year! I will be starting the year off with some layouts created with the gorgeous Storyteller collection by Vicki Boutin.

Lovely

I just love these large flowers and they were perfect for fussy cutting and were the focus for my layout. Lots of fussy cutting of the plot paper - perfect for extra details - my borders and the tag.

I drew on the colours from my photo using mainly yellows, some green and with a touch of black. A few layers of yellow and black paper on the neutral side of the stardust base paper. I've added some stamping to add some extra detail and interest to the floral clusters.

A close up of the stamping - flowers and the "thankful for this memory" words.

Adding some stickers and puffy stickers to add detail then just a few sploshes of ink to tie the layout together.
