Love ths Life
by Tammy Klingner

Hi everyone

As we come to the end of 2016, it's a great time to reflect on the year that was and to start thinking about 2017.

This layout is about that......

I had so much fun playing with Amy Tangerine's Oh Happy Life range.

It's full of bright colours so I decided to pair it with white and black.
I used white as my background, and added some swipes of black paint.
I then added a few layers of papers on top of the black paint, and then added my photo to this.

With some of the leftovers I created a cluster at the bottom of the page.

For my title I added some 2Crafty chipboard which I painted black, and then I cut 'this life' from one of the papers.

 Lastly, I added my journaling.

I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
I have thoroughly loved showing you my work each week, and hope it has inspired you to get creative.
I look forward to 2017 and sharing more scrappy stuff.

Luv Tam

Hello Sweet Heart with Crate Paper Cute Girl by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the holiday period. For my last share for the year, I have created another layout using the delightful Cute Girl collection from Crate Paper.

Hello Sweet Heart

For this page I have used some Dylusions Paint to create a blocky background, then I have dipped a credit card in white Dylusions Paint to create a criss cross pattern.

After layering up some papers, I have embellished my layout with these cute thickers - Crate Adorable Puffy Phrase Shape Thickers

Some more of the puffy thickers and a cute paper tassell from the same collection, finishing off with some cute little flowers.

Thanks for stopping by and wishing you all a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas layout by Rachel Lowe:

Happy Boxing Day to you all!

I hope you had the most wonderful Christmas day and today you are somewhat relaxing.

I have another Christmas layout for you today using Echo Park I Love Christmas collection.

I just adore this photo of my youngest captivated by the lights on the tree, this says the magic of Christmas to me!

I have cut a 4 1/2 inch strip of the snow flake paper but before attaching I have punched 3 layers of scollop borders to add visual interest.

I then set about adding embellishments around my photo.

I added the tree ornament which I also added a brad for some sparkle to mimic my tree lights in my photo.

I then added the Toy Shop chipboard piece with foam tape and tucked the chipboard snowman slightly under it. I finished this cluster off with a die cut snow flake attached with foam tape.

I added another brad to the left of my photo on the scollop border layers.

I then chose a journal card to match my photo (you could choose another one to suite your photo).
I sewed on the journal card in a random manner.

I added the  December 25 banner die cut and finished off with another brad.
I then added another brad on my tree (all of this done before I attached the journal card to my page).

I attached the chipboard Santa with foam tape .

I created my title under the journal card using the chipboard Merry Christmas finished off with a chipboard holly branch.

Against the white cardstock these colours are stunning!

This design can be used for so many different layouts not just this one.
You could also add two 6x4 inch landscape photos if you wanted to.

Well thats Christmas done for another year and I am already focused on the new year, bring on 2017 I say!

Thank you for stopping by today.

Enjoy the rest of the week and see you in 2017!

Merry Christmas!
by Tammy Klingner

Merry Christmas one and all!

Well tomorrow is Christmas Eve!!
How exciting! I absolutely love this time of year.
Wishing you the happiest of days and may the joy and magic be in your heart long after the special day has gone.

This layout was created using the new Bella Boulevard Christmas Range.
I adore this range and I adore Bella Boulevard too.
It's the bright colours.

As soon as I saw this range I knew it was for me.
Fresh gorgeous Christmas colours mixed with neutral black and white.
Absolutely perfect!!

This photo was taken last year on Christmas Day
and it's one of my favourites from the day.
I've been wanting to scrap it for some time, and this range made me jump right in.

It's a pretty simple page.
I used some White cardstock as my base.
I added strips of vertical patterned paper, concentrating on the right hand side of the layout.
I then added a few layers of papers behind my photo.
To finish it off  I added some of the cute stickers from this range clustered around the photo, I cut out a few little Christmas trees from paper, cause they are just the cutest!!
I then painted some 2Crafty Chipboard for the title and snowflakes.
And of course, I finished with some black paint splatters!!
Simples!

So that's it from me for 2016.

I have loved every minute of sharing my layouts with you and really hope they have given you some inspiration.

Wishing you the loveliest Christmas,
and I look forward to sharing with you in 2017!

Christmas Cuties and Card/Tag Set by Rachel Lowe:

The week before Christmas and I am sure like me you are vey busy getting ready for the day!

Christmas is a wonderful opportunity to take photos.

I have to admit that each year prior to the actual day I buy some props and bribe my children for half an hour to take some Christmas themed shots, all in the name of scrapbooking of course!

This photo is of my daughter and our very old cat NOT happy being included in this yearly ritual!

This Christmas collection by Echo Park, I Love Christmas is gorgeous and remains traditional in its theme and colours.

I am a huge fan of wood grain background papers and this one was no exception. I splattered some gold on it with colour shine and set aside to dry.

I then inked in gold the 2Crafty chipboard title 'Christmas Cuties'.

I have cut a 5x8 inch strip of the red stripe paper and attached to the right of my wood grain paper.

I love the deer paper and cut a 3 inch strip and attached over the red stripe paper.

Here I created the tree with ornaments feature using the chipboard pieces. You will note at the top of the tree I have attached the angel brad and on the baubles smaller rhinestone brads.

I then glued my title at the bottom of my photo.

To finish off I have attached the chipboard deer with foam tape and added a small chipboard snowflake.

This is a quick layout to put together but is still very striking.

So when the Christmas rush is over and you have a little down time you could make your own Christmas Cuties layout!

As I was on a roll I made some Christmas cards and two tags with 2Crafty Chipboard being the star!

I have used the papers and chipboard from the EP I Love Christmas but to add a wow factor I have used:

To add texture to my Deer chipboard pieces I firstly painted with Bo Bunny gold dot glitter paste.
When dry I inked in gold to give it a deeper gold effect.

The tree I simply inked in gold.

I have added sewing to my cards to create extra texture.

Not time consuming to make but lovely to receive all the same!

I will be back on boxing day so I will wish you all a very safe and happy Christmas spent with your family and friends.

Don't forget to take lots of photos!

Happy
by Tammy Klingner

Good morning everyone!  Can you believe we are halfway through December??
2 more weeks until the end of the year.
Yep mind blown.

This week I've been working on a layout using some of
Bella Boulevard's Illustrated Faith range.
Just adore the colours!

This layout is inspired by the craziness of this time of year.
In our attempt to get everything done, we can lose the joy.
We can lose our focus.

So this is about finding happiness in the everyday craziness.
It's about feeling grateful.
It's so important.

I began by applying some gesso to white cardstock.

I then added a few brush strokes of paint.
I wanted to journal on the paint, so I was mindful where I placed it.
I added a few flicks of paint as well.  Love the colour!

I added a few strips of paper to the left hand side of my layout.

I added some layers behind my photo,
and then embellished with a few page tabs and stickers.

Once this was all stuck down, I journalled.

For me this is the most important part.

I hope this layout inspires you to not only scrap, but also to stop and be grateful.
So, what are you grateful for?

Santa & his Elf with Echo Park I Love Christmas Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello

This weeks Christmas inspired page is created with Echo Parks I love Christmas
collection - traditional colours with natural timber tones.
Santa & his Elf

I love a timber background, but I've added a border to bring a bit of colour into
the layout and a little bit of texture paste and stars. I've predominantly used red and white for the page and a little bit of green for extra colour.

I adore the chipboard stickers, especially the cute santa, that I have used as the predominant page embellishments along with a journaling card from SImple Stories and a cute timber present from the Kaisercraft Joy range.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Be Happy Layout by Rachel Lowe:

Today I have another layout using the new girl collection by Bella BLVD Addison.

This collection is themed for an older girl.

With this layout I have used the die cuts that totally reflect my teenage daughters life loves, her phone and music!!

The photo of course is a selfie on her phone which I asked for so I could use it for this layout and make it even more authentic.

As the papers are bright and patterned I have used black bazzill for contrast.

I have cut three different sized plaid paper pieces. I have then layered them on slight angles. I have sewn at the top and bottom of the black/white plaid paper piece. I then tucked under this piece a designer clip finished off with a sticker. I love the music tab so I sewed on it and attached to the other side of my photo.

Under this I have attached the ric rac sticker border and under this I have attached a cut down paper border strip (be Happy) and sewn over it to add interest.

I then attached my photo with foam tape to create height.

I then attached a tab behind the photo. I have layered two heart stickers and attached to the side of my photo.

Of course I had to add the phone (always in my daughters hand!!). On the other side of the photo I have attached the ear phones and 'so crazy' die cut (which is slightly tucked under my photo).

To finish of I have added two die cut music notes and some small sticker hearts.

I think anyone with a teenage girl will totally get this layout!

Thank you for stopping by today and see you next week.

xXx

More Bella Boulevard
by Tammy Klingner

 Good morning.

This week's layout is a baby boy themed one.
It's about my little nephew who just turned 1....little Brooksie.
He is just the cutest!

I wanted to go non-traditional with my colour palette......

So I began with a black background.
I added some swipes and flicks of gesso, and then hunted through the
NEW gorgeous Bella Boulevard ranges.
From here I selected green, yellow, black and white as my colours.

With these colours in mind I explored my bits and pieces from Oh my Stars, Illustrated Faith and Alex, and found lots of co-ordinating bits and pieces.

Deciding on the colours first made it so much quicker as I had a focus.
I wasn't distracted by all the other cool bits and pieces.....if those colours weren't there I ignored them!
It was a bit like following a mood board.

I layered up a few bits and pieces,
concentrating on just the top right corner and bottom left corner.
I didn't want to add too many bits and pieces, as the photos were just so cute
and I didn't want them to get lost in all the 'stuff'.

I finished off with a 2Crafty title, and that was it!

I really like the colours for a baby.
I think it pops right off the page!

Christmas Elves with Simple Stories Mistletoe Kisses by Fiona Johnstone

Hello

This month I have Christmas on my mind and there are lots of delightful
Christmas collections in the store. This week I have created a page with
 Simple Stories Mistletoe Kisses collection:

Christmas Elves

Love the candyland colours in this collection, and Elves! Just perfect to scrap
some Elf on the Shelf photos!

I started with a misted watercolour background in pink before adding my paper layers.

I adore the chipboard in this collection - the tree was just perfect with my photo and I love the little elf head!

I finished off with a 2Crafty title, inked and glittered of course ;)
