Crate Paper Little You - Sweet Dreams Little One by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Sharing a layout created with Crate Papers Little You collection. It is so adorable, and loved those sleepy little clouds, just perfect for my layout;

Sweet Dreams Little One

Aren't kids so angelic when they sleep? Crate Paper had the perfect title in their Little You paper that features 3x4 cards, fab for PL as well as traditional pages.

I've created some sweet clusters with flowers, wood veneer, flairs and enamel dots

and this cute tassel from CVS that goes fab with my fringing.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Pink Paisley Outfitters Collection layout by Rachel Lowe:

Hello everyone and welcome back to another week of inspiration.

No flowers or girly layout this week, I have gone totally boy!

I am show casing the new collection from PP Outfitters with it's travel and adventure theme.

As soon as I saw the mountain paper with its beautiful blue and grey hues I knew this
is where I had to start with my layout.

I cut it down to 11.5x11.5 inches.

I then matted it against the wood grain paper and finished off with some sewing.

I splattered lightly simmer spritz sparkle spray to create a sky effect on mountain paper,
fizzed off with some stars from the sticker booklet.

I loved the wood grain compass die cut and attached to chipboard to create a 3D effect.

I then took the 04 paper and fussy cut two rows and layered over each other and again finished off with some sewing for added texture.

I have used a 6x8 inch photo of my son when we were away on holiday in the
 south of WA.

I think the size adds a dramatic feel with the rocks.

I chose a tag and embellished it to create a feature.

I added some puffy stickers to the right of my photo using sentiments to tie in with
my theme 'find your true north'.

Well thats it for today.

Thank you for stopping by and see you next week.

Hello
by Tammy Klingner

Hello!

Not sure where this week has gone, but somewhere in there I found the time to have another play with Jillibean Soup's Healthy Hello range.
I love it!

This range is quite girly oriented, so I thought I'd challenge myself and create a
 'boy' layout.
I selected the blues, greens and yellows for this.

That background 'hello' paper was perfect for a boy - I love the navy paint splatters!

I decided to let the paper do the work for me.
So I simply layered up some papers, and hunted for all the embellishments that suited
my boy theme.
To my surprise, there were lots.
I had fun adding them to my layout - tucking them in, making them work.

So there you go - a boy page complete!

I've also managed another Project Life spread using the leftovers from this range.

 The left side:

And the right:

Here's a bit of a closer look:

I again created a couple of interactive pockets.
I simply use washi tape to create a flap - this allows me to add more photos and tell more of the story without using up lots of pockets.

Woohoo, another week done and dusted!

Thanks for stopping by - Have a great weekend!

Fancy Pants Millie & June - Shine by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Had a play with the new Fancy Pants Millie & June collection this week. Fabulous, vibrant colours with pops of gold in this funky collection.

Shine

I've created a mixed media background on plain white cardstock using Distress Ink spray and Heidi Swapp Colorshine for the gold highlights. Once dry I have added my paper layers then added some extra detail with dark pink stamping.

My title is this gorgeous glitterly gold Shine thicker. I've used some CVS wood veneers and a Flutterby Designs flair.

On this side of my page I've added some 2 crafty chipboard which I have inked then added some sploshes of the gold Colorshine before finishing off with a cluster of flowers and a wood veneer heart.

A close up of my background and a final little wood veneer:

Life is Beautiful layout by Rachel Lowe - Hello Beautiful:

Today I have my second share using the gorgeous collection by Fancy Pants, Life is Beautiful.

Again I have used the floral papers with bright splashes of pink and yellow but I have used the wood grain background paper which gives it a different feel.

Teenagers can be hard to scrap as they seem to dislike photos taken by mum and therefore they can be few and far between. I always have my camera on the ready for those moments I can just snap away and get great shots like this.

With three sons I love the opportunity to scrap girly layouts that are pretty/floral and that is what I wanted to create here.

Layering elements is the key to this layout. Here I have take a simple tab foam taped a die cut heart, adding an enamel dot and then sewed to add texture.

I have done the same here with another tab but have added a brad and finished again with sewing.

I have sewn randomly on this layout to add texture, like on the die cut leaves.
I have layered the die cut flowers and finished this element off with a puffy word sticker.

The flairs in this collection are just lovely and slightly over sized (in comparison to a standard flair) which allows you to place a single element.

Well thats it for today and I hope you have liked the last two layouts using this collection and even though they are both floral they are completely different.

Last weeks layout using the same collection.

This weeks layout.

Thank you for stopping by today and next week I have a boy layout to change things up but again I have set myself the challenge of scrapping my teenager, this time my son.

Have a fantastic week.
xXx

Totally
by Tammy Klingner

It's my turn again to share a layout, which means that another week has flown by.

This week I had a play with Cocoa Vanilla's Totally Rad Collection.

I'm a big fan of Cocoa Vanilla.
 Their collections are always stunning.
Plus they are Australian!!

I was  immediately drawn to the blue and white striped background paper.
It has a bit of a beachy feel to it.

So I scrapped a selfie of myself and my son at the beach, taken on our annual January holiday.

Whilst everyone else was sleeping, we would get up and walk down to the beach.
I love it at that time of morning.
The peace, the calm.
At that time there's not many others there - it feels like you got the beach to yourself.
A special time for him and I to hang together, to talk or to walk in silence -  to connect.

It's something I will always treasure, so I'm really glad we got a photo.

To create the layout I added a bit of gesso, and then flicked some spritz around.
I then stamped a bit, and added some embellishments.
I'm always a fan of the frames in their die cut pack.
A flair, a bit of twine, and that's it.

I'll be back next week!

Project Life - Healthy Hello

Hi everyone

Just wanted to share a recent Project Life spread using the gorgeous
Healthy Hello Range by Jillibean Soup.
This range is great for Project Life - all the embellies are a perfect size
 to fit into the pockets.

I hate to admit, but I've gotten behind on my Project Life.
I've been doing too much living life and not enough time documenting it!

So this week I decided to just get in and do it.
This project is one of my absolute favourites, and the one that myself and the kids enjoy looking back on the most.

I also feel it is the project that sparks my memories the most, and that makes me reflect on our current life - both when creating it and looking back on it.
It's often what triggers me to make changes in our lives.
To determine what is working, what isn't and what we need more of.
There's definitely something about seeing your life in front of you that causes change.

So I went back to the approach that was working really well for me earlier this year.
To create weekly spreads from the leftovers of a range that I've been playing with.

Here's a closer look:

I love the bright happy colours and I love those white die cut cards!

So hopefully I will be back soon, with some more weeks to share.

Luv Tam
xx

Cocoa Vanilla Studio Love Always - Sweet by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Today I am sharing a layout created with the beautiful Love Always collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. The most gorgeous papers in lovely tones, complimented with the best range of co-ordinating embellishments.

Sweet
For this page I decided to create a soft background using my gelatos as a watercolour on the background paper. Once dry I've layered up some of the patterned papers and co-ordinating ephemera before finishing the page off with some gorgeous wood veneers.

A close up of the first cluster:
My title over some of the ephemera
And the cute kiss & hug with a close up of the gelato watercolour.
Hope you'll check out this gorgeous range.

Till next week

Fancy Pants - Life is Beautiful Layout by Rachel Lowe:

Happy Monday everyone.
Today I am working with the gorgeous collection Life is Beautiful and it is indeed beautiful. I love the quality feel of their papers and their embellishments are always plentiful.
Recently I had some professional photos taken and I have used a stunning one of my daughter and hence my choice of going super girly with the stunning floral papers.
This layout is all about layering and with the ephemera pack you are spoilt for choice.
As a feature of my background paper I have used the dark floral paper to contrast against the black and white stripes. I have sewn on them to add definition.
I chose the turquoise paper to mat my photo for a contrast against the florals.
I then chose the white floral paper and used a strip to start layering on. There are some lovely tags to chose from but in keeping with my theme I chose a floral one to layer behind my photo.
I then used the floral die cut frame which I attached with foam tape and added the typewriter die cut over it and the floral flair under it.
I then foam taped other elements such as my title, 'Be Happy' die cut and butterfly. I then punched a small flower circle from the white floral paper and attached to the left of my photo to add interest.
I finished this layout off with some enamel hearts and dots.
Thank you for stopping by today and do head over to the shop to see this gorgeous collection up close.
Have a lovely week and see you next Monday.

Happy Today
by Tammy Klingner

Good morning everyone!

It's Friday already which means it's my turn to share my latest layout.

This week I had a play with Jillibean Soup's Healthy Hello Range.
This range really is happy, bright and fresh.

I'm really enjoying painting with acrylic paints onto my pages.
Since attending the escape2create retreat in Port Lincoln, and doing classes with Wilna
Fursternberg and Louise Nelson, I have been really embracing my paints.

My paint of choice is Dylusions.
It's much easier than it looks.
Just smear it on, with a bit of water!
But don't forget to spread white gesso before you apply your paint.

I added some texture paste with a stencil and then layered up using a few layers of papers,
and a heap of the awesome die cuts.
I also added some 2Crafty Chipboard Leaves.

A happy layout celebrating some of the wonderful connections made at the retreat.
It's really an awesome feeling to be in a room of other creative who just love paper and
scissors and paint as much as you!
They just get it.  And get you.
No further explanation needed really.

See you next week.
