Fun in the Sun with Cocoa Vanilla Studio Sunkissed by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have gone back to the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Sunkissed collection - I love this range and bought at least doubles of the paper!
We are lucky we can use them year around here - these photos are from June!

Fun in the Sun

Love these gradient papers, make a cute background.
I added a little stenciling to the back of mine, using a Vicki Boutin Stencil and Distress Oxides. I have made them blend in with the background colours but you can see in this close up:

Next I have torn a strip of the floral paper - my fave!
And used a few scraps of paper behind the photo as well as making my own
shipping tag with the Summer Lights paper. The Fun in the Sun title is cut from the
paper of the same name, and acts as both a title and a third photo.

I've added lots of my leftover flowers from the floral ephemera pack - there really
are so many flowers in this pack!

Journaling from the Sticker Sheet and come cute clear stickers and a little
epoxy button to finish off the page.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week
Fiona

Little Hero using Photo Play Paper Little Boys Have Big Adventures by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
Today's page is another created with the collection,
Photo Play Little Boys Have Big Adventures.
Absolutely loved this range.
The gorgeous B&W photo of Mr H
was taken in 2009 at The Botanic Gardens,
resting at the pond.
From memory, we were chased by Water Hens
not long after taking this photo.

I've started with my favourite Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.
The subtle colour in the background
has been done with Distress Oxide Inks,
Speckled Egg and Faded Jeans,

From the top of the page,
I have torn two stripes of Big Adventures,
one of each side, with the white edge exposed.
They have been layered first.
The Ephemera Pack provided the banner pieces.
I outlined two of them with a black pen
and popped up the ends with foam tape.

The frames are also from the Ephemera Pack.
They have been used as the first layer on the page
and outlined again with black pen.

The photo has been matted with Bazzill Raven Cardstock
and a layer of Big Adventure paper.
I've used foam tape to lift the photo for extra dimension.
Some extra layers of patterned paper under the photo,
I've cut banner ends in a few of the pieces.

The Chomp Chomp paper provided
that pop of yellow of the page.
I've hand cut the arrow shape on the paper
to embellish the top frame.
It has also been lifted with foam tape.

The dinosaur embellishments have been hand cut
The 'adorable' tag was in the Ephemera Pack
and I have added string from my stash.

The 'adventures' journal card was
also from the Ephemera pack.
Both the blue dinosaur and journal card
have been popped up with foam tape.

The title has been hand cut from the
Big Adventures paper, journal card side.
I love the pop of yellow again.
and it has been lifted with foam tape.
So much fun!

Thank you for dropping by the blog today.
I hope you have enjoyed the pages
that I have created from this collection.
Have a fabulous weekend
and may there be plenty of crafting!

Forest Path with Pinkfresh Studio Happy Blooms by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Today I have another layout to share with the gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio Happy Blooms:

Forest Path

I love this gorgeous green patterned paper - Handkerchief:

But it was a little busy, so I got my craft knife and cut around the border of it to frame my layout. Next I used some distress oxide ink in Rustic Wilderness to create a softer green background, then added some texture with a VB stencil and some opaque texture paste. Then some stamping with distress ink in Mowed Lawn.

Then it was a few papers layers - utilising the pink in one of the girls jumpers and because pink and green always go well together!

Next was to hit the floral ephemera pack hard! Lots of pretty florals to frame my photo and adding some regular ephemera pack for words and tags, as well as cutting out words from the Happy Place paper to use. I've also used some stickers and embellishments from previous Pinkfresh collections - I find this the easiest way to mix and match ranges.

And finally the title to finish off - Happy Blooms Puffy Alpha Stickers!

Treasure This Moment using Bella Blvd To The Moon by Kerryn Fry

Happy Friday everyone!
My page today has been created with the
fantastic 'boy' collection, Bella Blvd To The Moon.
The photo of Mr H was taken in 2019 when he
represented SA in a National School Soccer Tournament.
It seems so long ago now.

The page has started with a plain Bazzill Kraft Cardstock base.
The main paper used in the design is the
reverse side of the Shoot for the Moon paper.
I have the then used Reach for the Stars paper to
add the scalloped strip at the base of the page,
the first layer under the photo
and a final piece to the left of the photo.
The navy in the patterned paper ties in well with the photo.

The 'month' and small heart stickers

The Borders paper provided the 'Having a Blast',
'Shine Like a Star' and 'All Boy' words for the page.
They have all been to the page add with foam tape.
The strip of stars under the photo was
also cut from the Borders paper

The DooHickey Sticker Sheet provided
the elements to the right of the photo.
I have staggered them down the page,
raising most with foam tape for dimension,
but kept the arrow and small stars flat on the page.

I've added more sticker on the top of the photo
to cover other faces and frame around Mr H.
The pop of red under the photo is
the reverse side of the Borders paper
and coordinates nicely with the photo.
I have hand-cut some of the hearts from the paper
and added them with foam tape to add further interest.

covered with Black Soot Distress Paint
and backed with a piece of white cardstock.
I have used a black gel pen to add faux stitch lines
to the frame and a few of the patterned papers

The 2 Crafty Chevron Bits have also
been covered with Distress Paint
and added to the left of the photo.
The light blue scalloped strip is from the

The title 'treasure this moment' has been created
from the 2 Crafty 6x4 Phrase Sticks Set 5.
The length of the words have been trimmed
and I have cut banners at both ends.
The chipboard has been covered
with Black Soot Distress Paint
and added to the page with foam tape.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.
I hope the page has given you some inspiration
to get some scrapbooking done.
Enjoy your weekend!
Please join us again on Monday.

Backyard Exploring with Pinkfresh Studios
Happy Blooms by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have created with a new collection - the beautiful Pinkfresh Studio Happy Blooms! This collection has some perfect embellishments for any staying at home scrapping especially if you've been out in the garden or exploring your backyard!

Backyard Exploring

For this layout I went with some tearing, chipboard and a doily for texture.  I layered up my papers and then added some to frame my photo. Next I hit the ephemera packs - there are two in this collection - one is exclusively florals and the other is a mixed pack of embellishments.

I framed alternate corners of my photo with the florals, then added the little journalling pieces and the little tags from the regular ephemera pack. Some 2Crafty chipboard added a little more greenery to my page and I love the wooden buttons from CVS - perfect addition.

My title is a mix of the new alphas from the Happy Blooms range (green) and older Pinkfresh from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

You Are Awesome using Photo Play Little Boys Have Big Adventures by Kerryn Fry

Hi Everyone!
This week I've gone back to creating with the collection,
Photo Play Little Boys Have Big Adventures.
Remember this collection is a fantastic bargain,
currently located in the Clearance section.
The photos are from Mr H's very first
school sports day back in 2009, go team green!

The page has started from a Bazzill Kraft Cardstock base.
Once I had laid out a plan for the page,
I have used a pencil to mark the basic design
and then removed everything to add the background effect.

and Distress Oxide Inks, I have created the background.
The Oxides colours are Speckled Egg and Chipped Sapphire.
Adding light and dark highlights around the page.

I've used the smallest 2 Crafty Miniture Bracket Frame
to document the date on the page.
The frame has been covered with Black Soot Distress Paint
and has been backed with a piece of patterned paper

I added the paper layers to the page.
The main paper Big Adventures has been torn across
the bottom edge and rolled to expose the other side of the paper.

I have stamped some Vicki Boutin stars on the
reverse side of the Big Adventure paper
and hand-cut them to decorate the page.
I lifted most of the stars with foam tape to create extra layers.

The 2 Crafty View Finder has been covered
with Black Soot Distress Paint and backed
with Chomp Chomp paper to pop on the page.

I have hand cut a number of elements for the page
The clouds, sun and words 'Best Kid Ever'
have been added to the page with foam tape.

The photos have all been layered onto
the yellow side of the Chomp Chomp paper
and lifted with foam tape.

to highlight the sub-title 'Best Kid Ever'.
It has been covered with Candied Apple Distress Paint
and then cut in half to frame to words.

The Ephemera pack for this collection
provided the perfect embellishments for the page.
The circles, arrows and words created small
cluster across the page on the sides of the photos.

The journal card, small heart and frame were more elements
from the Ephemera Pack that have highlighted the lower photo.
The frame draws your eyes to that adorable face!

has been covered with Black Soot Distress Paint
and lifted with foam tape.
The final touch are the faux stitch lines added
to the page with a black gel pen.

Sweet Summer Days with CVS Sunkissed Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Switching it up this week with an older CVS collection - Sunkissed.
I discovered I bought extra of this range and still have a few beachy pages to scrap!

Sweet Summer Days

For this layout, I've started with one of my favourites - a woodgrain background.
Cocoa Vanilla almost always have these in their collections and it is easy to see
why - love them!

A few paper layers, still loving the tearing for the dimension. Next some of the pretty
flowers in the floral ephemera pack before adding other embellishments from the
accessory sticker sheet, clear stickers and wooden epoxy buttons!

I've finished up with the fab gold glitter foam stickers from this collection and a
splattering of hearts from the clear stickers.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week
