Shine Bright using Little Boys Have Big Adventures By Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
Today's page has been created
with the super cute collection,
Photo Play Little Boys Have Big Adventures.
And the added bonus?
This range has been moved to the Clearance Section.

The photo is a very cute Mr H
taken at Glenelg Beach in August 2009.
His clothes matching nicely
to the colours in the papers.

The base for this page is the
I've used a stencil with Distress Oxide Inks,
Speckled Egg and Mowed Lawn.

The splashes on the page have been created
with Distress Oxides Inks and water flicked across the page.

Stickles Glitter Glue has then been added to highlight
different parts of the pattern created by the stencil.
I've also used a black pen and faux stitch line
to highlight other areas of the page.

The 2 Crafty Corners with Dots have been
covered with Speckled Egg Distress Paint.
They've been used to frame the paper layers
and tucked under opposite corners of the papers.

I've hand cut the words 'little Explorer'
I have added highlights to the words
The words have been lifted with foam tape.

The 'Let's Play journal card has been
hand cut from Best Kid Ever paper/
The 'Stay Wild' and 'Oh Boy, I love you'
are from the Ephemera Pack
and have both been lifted with foam tape.

The yellow circle was cut from Chomp Chomp paper,
I've outlined the edge of the circle with a black pen
and then highlighted the pattern in the paper

The photo has been added to the Bazzill Raven Cardstock
to clearly define the edges amongst the colours and patterns.
The 2 Crafty Name Plate has been covered
with Distress Paint and backed with patterned paper.
It has been lifted with foam tape.

The 2 Crafty title Shine Bright has been covered
with Black Soot Distress Paint
and added to the page with glue.

Today was Amazing with CVS These Days by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Today I have the stunning new Cocoa Vanilla collection  - These Days to work with. So much prettiness! Here is my first layout:

Today was Amazing

Love the ready made background, making it super easy to create a quick layout!

Lots of paper layers to this one, I have fanned them out and then used some to matt my photo. I've also added a doily as another layer - love it on the yellow checks.

As usual from Cocoa Vanilla you can expect fantastic embellishments, this collection has two packs of ephemera - both the floral and the die-cut pack. Love them both! I've teamed them up with some super cute Puffy Stickers - how cute are my double hearts? And also some wood epoxy buttons.

My title is from Vicki Boutin's Color Study collection - just love the font on these!

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Superstar using Simple Stories School Life by Kerryn Fry

Morning everyone!
Today's page is the final layout created
with the collection Simple Stories School Life.
The photos were taken in 2016,
Mr H presenting a school project in Grade 6,
his final year in primary school
and he did a great job.

The page started with a plain 12x12 sheet of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.
I've layered the bright patterned papers first
and outlined the Ready Set Learn paper
with a black pen and ruler.
The photos have been backed with Bazzil Raven Cardstock
to bring together the small amounts of black
and then lifted with scrap cardboard and tape for dimension.

The embellishments on the page are a mixture
I've cut out the 'school life' 2x2 square
and the 'discover the world' journal card.
The 2x2 square has been lifted with foam tape.

All of the remaining pieces are from the Sticker sheet.
There is plenty of foam tape used to lift the different elements
and they have been added in cluster on the page.

I've hand cut the letters 'school' from the 2x2 & 4x4 Element paper,
they've been added to the bottom of the page
with foam tape for more dimension.

The 2 Crafty Chevron Bits have been covered with
Black Soot Distress Paint and
added to the page with glue.

The 2 Crafty title Superstar has been covered with
Wild Honey Distress Paint and
added to the left side of the page.
I've used a border punch on the black strip

Happy Memories with Vicki Boutin Color Study by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Another page created with the awesome Color Study collection, it is such a fun and amazing paper range! Love it! Here is my latest creation:

Happy Memories

For this layout I knew I wanted to use that fun sunburst design on the Array of Colours paper so I decided to team it up with some colours that matched and create a VB background. I swiped some distress inks across the bottom of my Foundations Cardstock using the plastic bag technique and water:

Once that was dry I added some stamping using the stencil - I add the distress ink directly onto the stencil, sprayed with water then stamped the design on. Then I added some detail in the turquoise with Dylusions paint through a stencil before finishing off with some Kaisercraft stamps.

Then I layered up some remaining pieces of paper around my photo before hitting the embellishments - love these pie chart circles to continue the pattern on my background, adding 3 to my page before adding some final embellishment touches from the sticker sheet, ephemera pack and an old flair button.

and

A small subtitle and another cool bulldog clip from the ephemera before finishing off with my title from the collections puffy phrase stickers.

Till next week

Love Love Love using Echo Park Pool Party by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
The page I ma sharing with you today
has been created with my very last pieces of
Echo Park Paper Pool Party.
I'm a little sad, cause I have loved this collection!
A beautiful photo of my niece
modelling her new outfit, lost in her thoughts.

I had a little fun playing with mixed media this week.
The page started with the amazing product
The first layer is with a Vicki Boutin stencil
The next layers have been created with
Distress Oxide Inks and plastic packaging.
Using the colours Pickled Raspberry, Worn Lipstick,
Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed.

Once the background had dried, I have stamped
with the same Distress Oxide colours, white
and gold ink using two different stamps.
I have layered the patterned papers and
then embellished with the Ephemera pieces.

I've used foam tape to lift the Ephemera Pieces
and created clusters around the photo.
The black faux stitch line has been hand drawn
around the strips of patterned paper
and framed the photo using a black gel pen.

The Ephemera frame has been backed with white cardstock
to create a journal spot for the page.
I've outlined the journal spot with the black pen as well.

The 2 Crafty Hibiscus have been covered
with Distress Paints Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick.
They have been outlined with a white pen, once the paint had dried.

The 2 Crafty Lattice Leaves were covered
with Evergreen Bough Distress Paint
and then tucked under the hibiscus.
I've hand cut leaves from the patterned papers
and added with foam tape to the clusters.

was a left over piece from another page.
I've covered it with gold ink and then cut it in half.
It's been added to the top and bottom
of the page with some patterned paper.

hand painted with Distress Paints.
Once the paint has dried.
I have added some glitter glue to the words.

Thanks for visiting the blog today,
hopefully you have been inspired in some way.
Enjoy your weekend, have fun creating
and join us again on Monday.

You Color My World with Vicki Boutin Color Story by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back with some more Color Study, thought this photo was just perfect for this collection!

You Color My World

This page was inspired by the ephemera, so many paints and brushes I knew I had to do something about creating. Next I found this super cute photo of my great niece and went from there.

Once I used the perfect background paper, it was easy to add a few layers of paper that co-ordinated with it and added lots of colour to the page!

Next I used lots of those pretty ephemera and some stickers from the collection to embellish my page.

I used the dots and hearts from the puffy stickers to finish off the page

BeYOUtiful using Echo Park Slice of Summer by Kerryn Fry

Good morning AAS friends!
Today's page has been created with
A younger Mr H at nearly five years of age,
spending the day at Botanic Gardens.
A fabulous day climbing trees
and running around like a crazy person.

A simple page started with a plain 12x12 Bazzill Kraft Cardstock base.
The two photos have been matted with Bazzill Raven Cardstock
and added to the page with foam tape.
I've hand cut some words from the Fun in the Sun paper
and used them to embellish the page.
The 3x4 Journal Card has been outlined with a faux stitch border
and then layered onto Summer Floral.

The 2 Crafty Sun frame has been covered with
a mixture of Mustard Seed
and Wild Honey Distress Paints.
I've added some scrap white cardstock to the frame
and will use to add some journaling to the page.
I've added a border to the white cardstock
with a black pen.

The 2 Crafty Chevron Bits have been covered
with Black Soot Distress Paint.
The Chevron Bits have been backed
I've used foam tape to lift the chevrons.

The Celebr8 Matt Board pack was used for the title
BeYOUtiful, with sub-titles brave & strong.
The heart tab was added to the top right of the page.
The matt board has been left natural.

Thanks for visiting the blog today.
An easy & fun page to recreate.
Enjoy your weekend,
