WRMK Indian Summer & Kaisercraft North Pole - By Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone...can you believe that another month has just slipped by?!?!
Only 2 months left for the year! :-/  Eeeeek!

I am back again to share one last layout using this amazing
collection from WRMK - Indian Summer

I really wish I would have had more time this month to create more layouts with this one....but unfortunately, it's been a super busy month...so I'll have to save some for a rainy day :)

"The Great Australian Wind Catcher"

I have used mostly plain papers for this layout....with the main layered area under the photo being all cards & frames from the albums made easy journal card pack.  It is amazing how quick a page comes together when using pieces such as these...it's just a matter of choosing a few cards, and shuffling them around until you are happy with the layout...and presto - you're done!

I really love these embossed feather stickers and I've included them in my cluster of
Petaloo & MH flowers.

Another of the embossed stickers is this cute little butterfly.  It is really hard to see the definition in the embossing here, but IRL it is quite prominent & they look great, adding a touch of definition into the page.

This wooden tag....is actually REAL wood....and it is g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s!
At first I thought I would struggle with the size of it , but it fell into place quite easily & now I don't think it is too big at all :)

I've used a few of the different sized journal card pieces & frames, layering them under & over each other to create a random stepped effect in behind the photo.

My pic is of a windmill not far from where I live....taken for one of my photo a day prompts earlier in the year.  I love that where I live, these windmills are scattered across the rural landscape...they are literally everywhere <3

Next up I have a few of my Kaisercraft DT projects using another
Christmas collection - North Pole

This is a fun collection, with quite a few non-traditional colours...which I love!
I have created 2 layouts....one is Christmas themed and the other is from our holiday to Ireland last year, so this is quite a versatile collection and would be suited for other layouts besides Christmas :))

"Dreaming of a White Christmas"

As the North Pole name suggests - the colours are well suited for snow themed Christmas layouts.
The photo I've used is not actually a photo....it is an image from an e-card, so was not taken by me.
I have always dreamt of having a White Christmas, so I thought this paper collection was perfect to document that dream :)
I've used the gorgeous Snowflakes paper for the background, with those
awesome faux stitched chevrons!

My cluster has a few paperblooms, Collectables pieces & also some stickers from the sticker sheet.
I've also added a few spirals from the stems of the paper blooms

I have layered a variety of papers in under the photo & also some Collectables pieces as well.

These baubles are gorgeous pieces from the Collectables pack.
I love delving into each paper collections Collectables pack...it is quite literally, just like Chrismtas!
They are always filled with a HEAP of fabulous pieces....in all different shapes & sizes.

I have added my journaling to the back of a tag & it slips just in under the photo.

There is also some mesh tape around the edges of my paper layers for a bit of added texture.

Paper Bloom wire stems.
Other:  Mesh Tape

Next up is a non-Christmas layout....
"Kinsale Harbour"

I thought the colours in this collection well suited the colours of the amazing Kinsale Harbour.
So again, a few simple layers in under the photo, using papers & collectables pieces...plust some Kaisercraft printed tape.

Another cluster with paper blooms, Collectables & some 2Crafty Chipboard - Summer Leaf Stems

Here you can see where I've used a few Collectables pieces layered in with the papers...and there's also a bit of light stamping on the background using KC Grid stamp.

More Collectables & stickers to form a little cluster at the bottom of the page.

Kaisercraft Products:  Toboggan P1637, Candy Cane P1634, Elves P1636, Paper Pad PP950, Collectables CT807. And last, but not least....a couple of Christmas cards....

Layering a few papers, Collectables, Stickers & pieces from the Paper Pad for both cards.
And I've lined the envelopes with a piece from the paper pad as well, just to finish it all off nicely.

Kaisercraft Rustic Harmony Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Last share for the month today!! This week I am using another of the new Kaisercraft releases; Rustic Harmony. Very pretty, romantic style of paper and embellishments in this collection. It is just lovely and would suit vintage style photos and black and white photos perfectly!

For my layout Cherished Moment I have used a colour photo, but with very soft, neutral colours in it to suit the subdued colours in this range:

To create a soft romantic style of layout I have used lots of doilies, layers and tearing. As always with Kaisercraft the collectibles are just wonderful to use and such a variety - butterflies, doilies, tags, journaling posts, tabs - so, so much!! I've also used some lovely Kaisercraft roses - the flowers match the papers perfectly.

The right hand side of my layout compliments the left with doilies, butterflies and more little journaling bits. I have a little tag on the end that pulls out with the story behind the photo.

My final close-up shows my 2Crafty title which I have inked to match the green tones in the papers. You can also see the layering of doilies and collectibles embellishments between my paper layers. I have finished off with some light splashes of white paint.

Thanks for stopping by, till next week
Fiona

More WRMK "Indian Summer" - by Linda Eggleton

Hello everyone....gosh another week has passed yet again!

I am back with another Friday share....again using the amazing WRMK Indian Summer collection.
I know I'm probably repeating myself, but the colours & patterns in this collection are just fabulous! and I am really loving working with them :)

"Long Lost Cousins"
Based on sketch #125 at Sketchabilities

I have layered a few pieces of PP to create a border around the page (cutting out the centre of each piece so that they can be used on future layouts), and have then used this cool chevron paper, Ikat as the background with a few splashes of mists randomly flicked around the page.

Here's a few close ups.....

Of course, I have included a cluster of a variety of flowers, a Flutterby flair and some gorgeous 2Crafty leafty twig branches that I've left raw poking out from the flowers.

The piece in behind the photo is a gorgeous embossed tag - Summer Notes -  that is part of the Indian Summer collection (see list of products with links at the bottom of my post), and I've layered it with some PP's and pieces from the Journal cards pack....then finished it off with some twine tied in a bow.
The little camera is another 2Crafty piece, Mini Camera....I've coloured it with watered down gelatos and then enhanced some of the details with a white journal pen.

I've cut a few of the small triangles from the Carefree paper to add at the side of the tag for a bit of added interest, plus added some more of the journal cards & embossed arrow stickers.
Under the photo I've added a strip of Jillibean Soup Lattice Placemat, with a thin strip of PP weaved through it.

At the top of the page, I've added more embossed stickers & another strip of Lattice placemat.

And here is a close up of the main area of the page.

I hope you have been inspired by this amazing & fabulous collection :)
Until next time...happy scrapping. xx

More Kaisercraft Tropical Punch - by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

I have a couple of layouts to share with you today, using the Kaisercraft Tropical Punch collection that I used at the beginning of the month. Love, love the bright tropical colours!!

My first share for today is Besties

I took inspiration from Lily's hot pink cardigan when creating this page of these two besties have lots of fun together on a playdate. The gorgeous base paper is one of Kaisercrafts specialty papers and I love how it frames the layout. I have incorporated a mix of the floral papers and balanced it out with a plain colour before layering under and over with the fabulous collectibles.

The scallop around my circle comes from the element sticker sheet:

I have cut along each scallop and framed them around the circle. My title Besties has followed the curve of the circle and I have added some collectibles words, a banner, a heart sticker and finished off with a flair button.

The other side of my layout;

I've used a large flower from the collectibles pack and layered it under my photo with some tickets also from the pack and a little heart from the sticker sheet.

For my next layout, Happiness,  I have once again used a photo from tropical North Queensland! This layout is a cousin shot taken when we were walking along the strand in Townsville, at a lovely gazebo.

Don't they all look sweet here?

The green of the super cool pineapple print paper worked perfectly with the gazebo edges and all the bright colours mixed together is always great for photos of kids with their brightly coloured outfits - especially when everyone has a different colour on!

A close up of my journaling;

I've used a journaling spot and a doily from the collectibles pack for his, tucking part of the doily under my photo and then the smaller journal spot over the top - and adding a cute flair button too!

For my background I layered lots of leftover strips of the patterned papers in a variety of colours, then added a couple of the border strips from the sticker sheet.

I decided to leave the title simple, and used one of the collectible words, Happiness, over a blank journaling spot and a cute butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed my creations with this fabulous range this month.

Kaisercraft "Teddy Bears Picnic" by Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone
Today I have a couple of my Kaisercraft DT layouts to share using the very cute
Teddy Bears Picnic collection.  One layout is a teddy bear themed layout & one is not....so just to show that this range can be used for layouts that aren't teddy bear themed.

First up.....

"Teddy Love"

I've used the gorgeous "Furry" paper for my background...I just love the colours & design of this paper ..... & the white dots have a fairly light text on them, which looks great.

I have cut a rosette flower using a strip of paper from the "Parade" paper & added a paper bloom, punched butterflies & some collectables pieces to form my cluster :)

The collectables pack has quite a few super cute teddy bears in it, plus there's also a few words, such as the words Teddy & Love that I've used for my title.

The cute little banner stickers are from the sticker sheet....and I've attached them
in under a few strips of PP.

The photo is one of my small bear collection <3

Kaisercraft products: Bear Love P1629, Furry P1623, Bear Hug P1622, Parade P1627, Collection P1625, Cuddles P1626, Patchwork P1624,Paper Pad PP949, Sticker Sheet SS256 Collectables CT806, Buttercream Paper Blooms F629, Bronze Rhinestones SB776, Bark Ink IP724, Double Sided Tape T314, Foat Dots T302
Other: Butterfly, Rosette & Border punches

Next up is a non teddy bear layout :)

"Cherish the little moments"

The patchwork looking floral squares are cut from the gorgeous "Cuddles" paper & then mounted onto slightly bigger squares cut from the "patch work" paper. This is such a pretty patterned paper & I wanted to try to showcase it a bit differently.....against the burgundy colour of the "Teddy" paper, it makes them really stand out, which is what I was aiming to achieve :)

Another cluster of blooms, stickers, collectables....and a Flair button from my stash.

The hearts are from both the Collectables pack & Sticker sheet....and I've mounted them up on some KC foam dots to add a bit of height to them.

More stickers & Collectables....plus some strip journaling :)

Kaisercraft Products: Teddy P1621, Cuddles P1626, Patchwork P1624, Paper Pad PP949, Sticker Sheet SS256, Collectables CT806, Iceberg Paper Blooms F630, Olive Paper Blooms F633, Ruby Paper Blooms F636, Mini Chrochet Doilie EM951, Bark Ink Pad IP724, Double Sided Tape T314, Foam Dots T302
