Gypsy Soul using Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone.
Today I've got creative with the collection,
Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream.
Love the softer colour palette in this range
and it coordinates nicely with the photos.
One of my Great-Nieces doing somersaults
in our backyard in 2014.

In the background I've used a Crafters Workshop 6x6 stencil
with Distress Oxide Inks Stormy Sky and Speckled Egg.
I've heat set the ink and then added random highlights with a white pen.
The final layer of colour is more Distress Oxide Inks,
Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick and Speckled Egg.

I've also used a white gel pen to add some details
around the paper layers and outlined the whole page.

The embellishment clusters have been created with a mixture
of hand cut flowers from Garden Variety paper
I've also hand cut some butterflies from All Aflutter.
The flowers have been lifted with foam tape.

The flowers have been jazzed up with
some Stickles Glitter Glue in the centres.
I've added word stickers to the clusters

The smaller flowers have also been hand cut from Garden Variety paper,
I've used them to extend the clusters down the sides of the photos
and added to the page with foam tape.

base-coated with white ink first,
once dry and have given a good layer of Stickles Glitter Glue
The small heart stickers finish off the clusters.

I hope you have enjoyed the page.

New Smile with Crate Paper Fresh Bouquet by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back again with some more Crate Paper goodness with the beautiful
Fresh Bouquet collection.

New Smile

For this layout I have used a busy patterned paper as my background. To make this work I have gone with neutral patterns for my other patterned papers. It also works as my photos are predominantly one colour, therefore not too busy to clash with the busy floral paper.

I have matted my photos with the complementary pink patterned paper then created a few banners from other neutral papers. I've then used some Crate Paper Fresh Bouquet stickers and foam stickers to embellish my page - love the flowers in both dimensions.

Gold was the perfect choice for my title, it really pops off the page with the pinks & blues. I dug through my stash for these thickers and hit my gold ephemera packets for some extras - stars and hearts to finish off the page.

Till next week

Adventure Awaits using Carta Bella By The Sea by Kerryn Fry

Morning AAS friends!
Today I am sharing another page created with the collection,
The photos are from 2010,
a younger Mr H enjoying a day at the beach.
He was definitely in need of a haircut!
I love how well the photos coordinate with the papers.

A similar base to previous weeks,
starting the page with a Bazzill Kraft cardstock base.
Then using Distress Oxides Inks Tumbled Glass,
Speckled Egg and Chipped Sapphire,
I have created the background effect.
The stencil used is called Radiate
from the Vicki Boutin Storyteller collection.

Across the top of the page, I've die cut clouds
from the reverse side of the 3x4 Journaling card paper.
The clouds have been lifted with foam tape to add some dimension.
The 2 Crafty Kite has been covered with the reverse of Border Strips paper
and the tail has been covered with Distress Paint.
I've used a black gel pen to add details to the kite.

The top photo has been matted with black cardstock
and lifted with foam tape.
The lower photo has been framed with the 2 Crafty Doodled frame.
It has been covered with Hickory Smoke Distress Paint
The darker patterned papers have been outlined with a white gel pen.

The 2 Crafty Tiny Henri Frame has been covered
with a combination of Candied Apple and Fired Brick Distress Paint.
The frame has been backed with patterned paper
and will be used as a journaling spot.

I've hand cut the sentiment from the Border Strips.
The first part of the sentiment has been backed with patterned paper
and added to the page with foam tape.
The second part of the sentiment has been added to the lower part of the page.

The 2 Crafty title Adventure Awaits has been covered
with Speckled Egg Distress Paint.
I've used a stencil to add a second layer of paint to the title,
with a Vicki Boutin stencil and using Tumbled Glass Distress Paint.
Once dry, I've finished the title with Glossy Accents.

Thank you for visiting the blog today,
hopefully the page has inspired you to craft this weekend.
Please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next page.

Beautiful Spring Day with Pinkfresh/Altnew Celebrate Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hi everyone

I have a layout created with a gorgeous collection to share with you today - the truly
stunning Celebrate Collection, a Pinkfresh Studios/Altenew collaboration.

Beautiful Spring Day

The colours are simply perfect for my photo, and will work with anything with a bit of pink!
I have used the free cut file from the Pinkfresh Studio Fan Group page on Facebook.
I created my design around this using the patterned papers for backing the cut file.

Next I chose a patterned paper as a background - love the edges on the "always" paper, perfect background paper print for that mixed media feel. I decided to add more floral
to the centre of the circle, using the "progress" paper. The inner circle between the
two lines on the die-cut is from the reverse of the paper.

The ephemera pack has the perfect finishing touches.
And I've added some enamel dots as usual!

My title is made up from the Pink Paislee Bloom Street word stickers - I used
the letters from the title Dreamy to create Day, and separated them with pink enamel dots.

Getaway using Carta Bella By The Sea by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone.
Today's page has been created from the collection,
The photos were taken while we were holidaying
at Victor Harbor in the July school holidays.
Beautiful coast line and the perfect weather.

For the background, I have chosen Distress Oxide Inks,
Candied Apple, Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans
to match the colours in the collection.
The stencil is Vicki Boutin,
I've used a combination of Distress Oxides across the page.
Once the inks were dry, I have used a white pen
to rule lines in the stencilled pattern.

The sign has been hand cut from Journaling Cards paper,
I've used foam tape to give the sign dimension.
The bottles and rope are from the Element Sticker Sheet.

The lighthouses have also been cut out from the Journaling Card paper.
I've created clusters on either side of the photos,
using foam tape to create layers in the clusters.
The 2 Crafty Polaroid frame has been covered
with Candied Apple Distress Paint
and then finished with Glossy Accents.
The frame has been backed with patterned paper
to create a journal spot.

The 2 Crafty Sea Creatures, the dolphin and whale
have been painted with Hickory Smoke Distress Paint
and finished with Glossy Accents.

The words, crabs and coral stickers are from the Element Sticker Sheet.
I've used foam tape to lift some of the stickers.
The starfish is cut from the patterned paper.

The 2 Crafty title Getaway has been covered
with Stormy Sky Distress Paint.
I've added Glossy Accents to the bottom half
of the title and left that to dry.
Once the Glossy Accents has dried,
I've added Stickles Glitter Glue across the middle of the title,
for a wave effect.

The Good Stuff with Crate Paper Fresh Bouquet by Fiona Johnstone

Hi everyone

Playing with the gorgeous Crate paper Fresh Bouquet collection this week for
a layout of me and my girls

The Good Stuff

I started this page with the design of the papers in mind, initially going to use a patterned paper background I decided to go with cardstock and add some masking.

I've used the new Vicki Boutin Storyteller Radiate stencil and some Dylusions Paints for the background. Even though it is a smaller stencil than the area I didn't worry about the middle as it was going to be covered by my patterned paper and just made sure the outer section matched up.

Then once my paper layers were down I have used both the cardstock stickers and the foam stickers from the collection to embellish my page and tucked some inked chipboard bits under my flowers.

I've used some older thickers - Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope for my title to complete my layout.

Be Yourself using Simple Stories Bro & Co by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
Today's page was created with the collection
Simple Stories Bro & Co.
My final page with this awesome range.
The photo is a very young Mr H,
in his bedroom, impressed with his new quilt.
Love his 'cheese' smile.
It seems so long ago!

The base of the page is my favourite Kraft cardstock.
I've enhanced the cardstock with Distress Inks,
Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon,
before layering the patterned papers.
I have blended the two inks in 3 different areas.

Starting at the top of the page.
I've created a cluster with strips of paper
chipboard stars and hand cut stars.
The smaller 2 Crafty star has been covered with paper,
the medium 2 Crafty star frame has been backed with paper
and covered with Black Soot Distress Paint.
I have cut the star in half to use at the bottom of the page.
Some elements have been raised with foam tape.

The small stars across the page
have been hand cut from the paper It's All Good!
They have been stuck down with foam tape.
The larger 2 Crafty star has been
covered with patterned paper
and sanded around the edge.
The word stickers are from the Cardstock Sticker Sheet.

The embellishment cluster at the bottom of the page
has started with the larger 2 Crafty Star Frame.
It has been covered with Black Soot Distress Paint,
and backed with white lined patterned paper for a journal spot.
The 2 Crafty Mini Camera has been
covered with Hickory Smoke Distress Paint.

The other half of the 2 Crafty Star finishes of the cluster.
The 2x2 Element is raised on foam tape,
with word stickers added from the Sticker Sheet.
I've used a black gel pen to add stitch lines to different elements.

The 2 Crafty title Be Yourself has been covered
with Black Soot Distress Paint.
The 2 Crafty Smiley Face is covered
with Wild Honey Distress Paint.
I've backed the Smiley Face with patterned paper.

Thank you for dropping by the blog today.
Hope you have enjoy the process of the page.
Have a fabulous weekend, hopefully there will be some sunshine
and lots of crafting.
Please join us again on Monday.

Vivid with Photplay - A Walk on the Wild Side by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I'm sharing a double page using Photoplay's zoo themed collection:
A Walk on the Wildside.

Vivid

For this layout I have scrapped some pics from Vivid at Taronga Zoo in 2019.
So a slight twist on the usual zoo photos!

I've used a neutral Kraft background then layered the papers across both sides in
a mirrored design. Then I have used a mixed design of photo sizes for my
layout - 6x4, 4x4 and 3x4. I've used the landscape Go Wild as a subtitle:

To embellish I have used some Green Tara flowers and some 2Crafty branches
alongside the A Walk on the Wild side sticker sheet.

And my title is some Celebr8 matt board alphabet set - perfect for making your own
titles;  and to finish off, some enamel dots and the date with my old roller date stamp.
