Last layouts with FP "True Friend" PLUS Kaisercraft "Off the Wall" - By Linda Eggleton

Hello everyone....and welcome :)

I have my last creations for November to share using Fancy Pants "True Friend" collection.
What a fun collection this has been to work with over the month...5 layouts all up.

So here are the final 2 I've created this week.

"Puppy Love"

I've used the plain "Inseperable" paper for the background (which is almost like Kraft CS) & added a bit of stencil work using Heidi Swapp Chevron stencil & some modelling paste, with a few splashes of glimmermists.  I love how the colours of the layered PP's almost pop off the page against the kraft coloured background <3

A small pretty cluster of Green Tara, Petaloo & KC flowers...with a gorgeous 2Crafty clock face frame, that I've left raw, as the base of the cluster.

I've added some foam tape in under the True Friends stickers to help lift them off the page....and I've used more of the cool & trendy 2Crafty Geotags...again left raw, & backed with some of the peachy coloured PP's

I cut a strip of the chevrons from the Good Times paper & arranged it along with a few strips of other papers at the top of the page....with my journaling under the chevrons to tie in with the sketch.  And I've added a little cluster of Green Tara cherry blossom, a sticker that I've mounted on foam tape & a True Friend flair, which is the most gorgeous colour & has lots of cute little hearts over it <3

The alpha stickers are from the True Friends collection also....which come in 2 different sticker sheets

Pic is of my DD & our dog, Oscar <3

Next up.....

"Best Mates"

The background paper , Loyal, has a bit of a formal feel to it for me...so I've gone for a couple of formal type photos, and have used some of the yellow & teal coloured papers in my layers under the photos.....including more of the chevrons I cut in the previous layout.

I've included more Green Tara flowers, 2Crafty Gears & another of the fab flair embellishments....this one having chevrons on it :)

I went for a bit of a torn look for the bottoms of a couple of the layers under the photos...just to mix things up a bit & to not have so many straight lines.

The arrows are die-cut from a variety of PP's.

And one of my fav 2Crafty pieces.....Chevrons, that I've inked in white.

Pics are of my DH & DS...who are the best of mates :)))

Now I have some of my Kaisercraft DT work to share using the super cool "Off the Wall" collection!
 "#193"

I've cut out a heap of triangles from the "Unique" paper & have scattered them on the background Attitude paper, with some home made stamping - using the ends of some cardboard cylinders that came from a roll of kitchen tidy bags!

I've used the newly released Kaisercraft Decorative Die - Numbers, for my title, and cut up some of the bracket shapes that comes with the numbers to create the hashtag.

Here is a bit of a close up of some of the triangles...plus the awesome stars that I've cut from the Superstar Specialty diecut paper.

I've used a variety of stickers & collectables layered in and around the photo.

Here's another close up of the scattered triangles...and there's also some of the new Epoxy Stickers scattered in there as well.

There are so many cool & awesome sayings in the collectables pack...they could even be used for a title, rather than using alphas.

Kaisercraft products – Attitude paper P1668, Unique paper P1672, Awesome paper P1670, Wicked paper P1674, Superstar Specialty Diecut paper PS373, This Way Gloss Specialty paper PS374, Collectables CT811, Sticker Sheet SS263, Paper Pad PP954, Monochrome Epoxy Stickers ST911, Numbers (Medium) Decorative Dies DD305
Other – Punchinella, Flair Button, Gesso, Distress Ink, Mists, Cardboard Cylinder for stamping

Next is a couple of cards....

A fairly simple card (as is all of my cards!) with a few layered papers, diecut strips
& Collectables pieces.

More layers of papers, Collectables & Stickers....quick & easy :))

Kaisercraft Products – Wicked paper P1674, Superstar Specialty Diecut paper PS373, Paper Pad PP954, Collectables CT811, Sticker Sheet SS263, Monochrome Epoxy Stickers ST911, Black Card Pack CD510, Black Ink Pad IP719

More Kaisercraft Off the Wall by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Well this is my last post for November, I can not get over how fast this year has gone! And it is officially only one month till Christmas (I'm sure you all wanted to be reminded of that!).

Today I am sharing a page using the Kaisercraft Off the Wall collection. I had this really cool idea for a page after seeing the graffiti paper. When we walk the dog, we go through a laneway with a graffiti filled wall, and it is predominantly blue and black - it would be the perfect background for my photo...

except the subject didn't want his photo taken that day, so:

yep, I scrapped it anyway!!

Here is a close-up of the 2Crafty chipboard title I used on my layout - No Photos Please. It was just PERFECT for this shot!!

I painted my title in black, the once that was dry, I got out my gelatos in Orange, Blue & White and rubbed them onto parts of the title. Once finished I used dimensional magic to seal it and add some gloss. Love the effect.
I've used a fair bit of chipboard on this layout. These stars I had in my stash, already coloured!! Win! I've combined these with some elements from the sticker sheet and the collectibles pack.
My left side mimics my right with stars, stickers and collectibles - including a piece from Kaisercraft Close-Up range I used last week! I've also used some leftover chipboard, the bits leftover from the chevron borders with I've cut up, inked in black and tucked under either side.

It ended up being a fun page, even though it wasn't exactly what I had planned, but that's kids for you!! Thankfully he co-operates most of the time!!

Till next month
Fiona

Fancy Pants "True Friend" & Kaisercraft "Hello Today" - by Linda Eggleton

Hello everyone and welcome to the blog today.

I have another layout created with Fancy Pants - True Friend to share....this is such a gorgeous, pretty collection...with a bit of cute thrown in too.  I have loved creating with it this month :)

My layout is based on the 15th October Stuck sketch

"Happiness"

I've used the pretty Forever Friends paper for the background, and have left it as is, to show off the pretty flowers & gorgeous colours...and I've also used some small strips of the black corrugated cardstock in under the teal Little Things paper....ooops about the piece at the bottom right that has moved without me noticing before I photographed the page!

There's 3 different Green Tara flowers in my cluster - Azalea, Gardenia & Cherry blossom...and the teal coloured one is from Petaloo.  There's also some of the stickers in and around the cluster ...from both the Label Sticker pack & the Fundamentals sticker sheet.

The title is one of the super cool 2Crafty Line Words...Happiness.
I've coated it in gesso & then painted it with some watered down Oriental Poppy glimmermist.  To get a little bit of texture on the chipboard, I've dabbed the gesso on, rather than paint it on.

The little Geotags are also 2Crafty, and I've layered a smaller one on top of a bigger one - The pack comes with 15 or so different sized tags....love them!  I've coloured the grey one with a very worn out prima ink pad (black) and the black one with a black gelato....and I've grouped these to form a little cluster with some more flowers.

I have used the cardboard backing sheet from the True Friend Flair Embellishments in under the photo - with the yellow'ish triangles....it looked really cool & I wanted to use it!
There's more stickers here & one of the Flair Embellishments - these are a bit bigger than normal sized flairs, but I am loving the size!  I've also used another 2Crafty piece - Sharon's Butterflies.

The page has quite a lot of white space on it for me....it was really hard to just leave the teal paper like this with all the spare space up the top left, but I stayed strong & kept it as is without adding more to it!!! LOL.  The pic is of my DD and one of her best friends at her Hens weekend earlier in the year.

Next I have some of my Kaisercraft DT work to share using the fabulous Hello Today collection.

"Silo Magic"

Love hexagons? They come ready printed on the "Everyday" paper, and all you need to do is cut them out - and they are all sorts of colours & patterns too. Or if you like the paper as is, even easier. Hexagons are such a cool trend in the scraping world atm, so these are just perfect. I've cut them out & distressed & inked the edges slightly, then arranged them
in a flowing motion across & down the page.

Paper Blooms, stickers & Collectables pieces....they are my go-to's for creating my clusters :)

I've used one of the 3x4 "Right Now" Captured Moments cards for my journaling...and also layered in under the photo as well. I find these little gems make layering & arranging things on the page so easy & simple! No need to measure, cut etc....it's all done for you. It's just a matter of shuffling them around until you're happy with the arrangement....so just one other use for these cards besides PL style scrapping!

I've also used a few other new release products from Kaisercraft....Corrugated Cardboard & Cork sheets!!! Oh how I LOVE these :)))) They give such a great rustic feel & add such awesome texture!

I've used some of the cool stamps from the Hello Today clear stamp set randomly on the background, as well as the Tiny Dots stamp

I soooo love the golden browns in this collection...they are so me :)
And another great thing about the colours in this collection, is that they are neutral, which makes them so adaptable to adding pops other colours to the palette....such as the blue in my photo & the few little embellishments I've added, plus there's a slight hint of blue in the background work. But any other colour would go well with this palette as well.

Kaisercraft products - Document paper P1660, Everyday paper P1663, Corrugated Cardboard CB153, Cork Sheet CB152, Captured Moments 3×4 Right Now cards CM119, Collectables CT810, Sticker Sheet SS260, Clear Stamps CS194, Paper Pad PP953, Black Ink Pad IP719, Tiny Dots stamp CS151, Honey Paper Blooms F628, Terracotta Paper Blooms F635, Sea Breeze Paper Blooms F631, Bark Ink Pad IP724, Ebony Alpha Stickers AS251

Other: Flowers, Flair Button, Die-cut Leaves, Stencil, Mists, Alpha Stickers, Button, Gesso.

Next is a little desk calendar I've created for 2015

I started it all from scratch, by first cutting out some chipboard pieces 6"x6" and then had a heap of fun covering & embellishing them for each month.
It is a flip type calendar, and each month backs against the previous month,
so I only needed 6 pieces of chipboard.

Each month I've tried to vary the design, papers & embellishments used, but each month I've basically used pieces from the paper pad, sticker sheets - including the clear acetate stickers of each month, Collectables pack, some "Right Now" Captured Moments cards, the clear stamp set & some paper blooms....as well as a minimal amount of embellies from my stash, plus a few different diecut pieces.

Some 2Crafty chevron bits - love my 2Crafty chipboard!
And the 3 little circles down the side are stamped impages using the Hello Today clear stamp set.

The little calendar pieces are from the "Mod" paper, and are so perfect for a calendar or even pocket type calendar. I simply cut them all out, taking off the top part with the name of the month and then rounded the corners with a corner punch. And underneath that, a few of the Captured Moments cards layered on top of each other....which makes things so much quicker, as I mentioned earlier.

Papers from the paper pad are perfect for this type of thing as it saves cutting up
full sized 12x12 papers!

I've only shared a few of the calendar months here, but if you'd like to see all 12, you can see them over on my blog HERE

Kaisercraft Close-up by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

I have another cool collection from Kaisercraft to share with you today. Lots of groovy colours in the Close-up collection - a few of the papers remind me of the 70's and
 are lots of fun!

I've two layouts to share with you today. For my first one, I have used the quote on the background paper as my title: Life is like Photography. Always look on the bright side of Things. (Photo by Lily, age 7).

This paper has such a fantastic background, I've just complimented it by using the memory box mask which is very similar to the pattern on the bottom left corner of the paper. I have extended it to the top left and to frame my papers using a lightly applied black ink.

I've also used a gelato to stamp a bit of the mustard colour to the centre of the layout as you can see in this close up, along with some stamped texture dots.

Lots of pretty flowers in this range, including some from the collectibles pack which I have used as well as some lovely Green Tara flowers and some 2Crafty feathers I've used as leaves. I've inked them with some distress stain and there is a little glimmer of gold - which was on the sponge I used - love the effect! I then went over the stem and leaf edges with a copic marker.

My second share for this week is: {heart} My Canon.

This range is just perfect for recording about the items we use to help us memory keep! I love my canon camera - I do need to do a lot more practice with it though!!

As you can see, I have used the memory box mask again - it works so well with this range! I have added a few splashes of Dylusions inks to add a bit of colour to the kraft background. I've finished with a cute camera flair badge.

And on this side you can see I have added some film strip washi tape and a Kaisercraft smile sticker to compliment the camera theme!

I've used some older stickers for my title along with a veneer heart which I've inked in red. I love the strip on the bottom of one of the papers with all the words, just finishes it off nicely!

Thanks for stopping by,

till next week
Fiona

FP True Friend & Kaisercraft Rustic Harmony - By Linda Eggleton

Hello All & happy Friday....Yay, the weekend is almost here :)))

I am back to share another layout using the fun "True Friend" collection by Fancy Pants.
The colours in this one are gorgeous....with predominantly mint green & a soft orange, with some grey/black & yellow as well.

My layout is based on the 1st Nov Stuck sketch

"Little Miss Cheeky"

I've used the gorgeous mint corrugated cardstock as my background which adds such fabulous texture to the page.  I've then splashed a few mists around so that the background colour wasn't too plain.

There's those big orange alpha stickers again....perfect for adding some punch to a title!
I've also used some of the tiny alpha stickers on the sticker fundamentals sheet.
The cute little owl flair is from the flair embellishment set and I've grouped it with a few Petaloo flowers to form a cluster...with a couple of 2Crafty pieces as well - Sharon's Butterfly that I've covered in gesso & a Geotag coloured black with gelatos.

I used a dinner plate to trace & cut out the yellow circle behind the photos, and another 2Crafty Geotag & Sharon's butterfly - this time coloured with gelatos.   I've added a strip of punched border paper along the bottom of the photos to help tie in with the sketch

I made a couple of cute little tags to tie in with the sketch.
Using an old shipping tag as a template and then added some reinforcement stickers

I added some strip journaling about my cute little great niece being a bit cheeky with discovering her tongue! lol

And here is a close up of the main section of the page.

Next I have a few projects from my DT work for Kaisercraft, using
the beautiful "Rustic Harmony" collection.

This collection is nothing short of beautiful...it is soft and pretty, yet rustic at the same time. Lots of woodgrained & antiquey type papers, that would suit any style of layout. It's up there as one of my fav Kaisercraft collections....I love it :)

"Ha'penny Bridge"

I used the "Calm" specialty paper for the background & added some stencil work using the Quarters template & some modelling paste and also some stamping with KC script stamp.  I then layered a variety of papers, Captured Moments cards, stickers & Collectables pieces across the page.

I chose some coral & sage paper blooms to tie in with the colours of the papers and gave them all a swipe of gesso to help tie in with the rustic papers....I then finished off my cluster
with some diecut leaves.

There's also some stickers & Collectables pieces in there as well.

A smaller cluster mirrored on the opposite side of the photo

This collection comes with alpha stickers on the sticker sheet, so I've used them in my title, as well as some KC white alpha stickers that I've inked a soft pink. I love the size of these alpha stickers...as they are not too big, they are just the perfect size :)

Here's a close up of the stencil work & stamping on the background, and some journaling on one of the Captured Moments cards.

And a close up of the main area of the page.

Other: Flower, Modelling Paste, Leaf Die, Gesso

Next is a BTP project.....

"Sweet Love"

I've used 2 layers of paper, with the top layer cut slightly smaller than the bottom, so that it created a bit of a border around the outside of the heart. I've also distressed & inked the edges of the inner heart to help give it a bit more definition.

I created a cluster made up of 3 different coloured paper blooms, some stickers & diecuts...plus a really OLD KC wooden flourish that I found buried in my stash...lol! Also added some muslin & some die-cut leaves.

I've added a bit of texture to the wooden flourish & then coloured it with glimmermist.

And here is a few of the Collectables pieces....layered butterflies & some cute little banners.

That is it from me for another week.
I hope you have been inspired by these fabulous collections.
