Amazing, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all,

Welcome to the last day of July!
And today I am sharing a double page of my middle daughter and our dog, Lulu.
I again used the Pink Paislee: Indigo and Ivy collection.
This time I used the soft pinks & greens and mustard & golds in the range.

I started this layout with two sheets of White cardstock.
Then I created a soft mixed media background.
Step one was using white gesso through the Kaisercraft Mini template - Foliage design.
Step two was to create a soft pink water wash effect. I did this using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad in Abandoned Coral which I pressed onto some plastic and mixed with water and painted onto the layout.
Finally, step 3 was to add some gold splatters using Bling Shimmer Spray.

Let's look at more of the page and some close ups to see how I used Indigo and Ivy papers and embellishments.

First side of the layout:

The papers I used are from the 6x6 paper pad. I laid the 6x6 papers to make a panel across the entire double page.

Alongside the left side of the photo, I layered stickers and acetate diecuts and words from the Indigo and Ivy collection.

Second side of the layout:
Here you are see that I mounted the collection of smaller photos in a soft pink paper, also taken from the 6x6 paper pad.

More stickers and diecuts are layered in this cluster.

In this close up, you can see some of the detail of the mixed media background.

Thanks for looking! I was fun to do a double page - it had been a long time! LOL!

NZ with Pinkfresh Studio
Out & About by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Sharing a travel page this week with the awesome travel range Out and About
by Pinkfresh Studio:

NZ 2019

I've used the netural New Places paper - the background is predominantly white so not busy. Added a pop of colour to the top and bottom.

Love these cool frames in the collection, you get 6 in total and I've used 5 on this page to showcase a variety of my travel photos to fit the theme on each frame - Wander, Tourist Mode, Getaway, Around Town and Adventuring.

To the frames I've added some extra stickers from the range and an assortment of enamel dots and shapes.

I added a little journaling tag to balance out my page - adding some stickers and enamel shapes to a journaling shape from the Bucket List paper.

I've added a few extra stickers to the bottom of my layout, and a very simple title and date.

Dream A Little Dream using Kaisercraft Antiquities by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone!
Today I've created a second page using the collection
I adore the colours in this range
and they worked perfectly with the cute photo of our boy.
This photo is from Grandma's collection,
Harrison is 15 months old.

This week the Kraft Cardstock base has been kept fairly simple,
with a Crafters Workshop Template and Gesso,
I've added random highlights of white to the background.
There are multiple 2 Crafty pieces on this page.
The 2 Crafty Polaroid Frame has been covered
with the patterned paper Beloved.

The 2 Crafty Triangular Border has been covered with Gold Metallic Ink.
I have used it to highlight the one edge of the patterned papers
and create another layer of the edge.

The 2 Crafty Clouds have also been covered with patterned paper,
This time I have used the scripted side of Rare
and sanded the sides to create a white edge.
Then using a white gel pen, I've doodled a border around each cloud.

The Collectables Pack was used to create the different
embellishment clusters on the page.
I added foam tape to lift certain pieces
and hand cut some leaves from the Valuable paper

The Collectables were also perfect to create a spot for journaling.
I have layered a few different pieces,
added a strip of patterned paper and finished it with some leaves.

The 2 Crafty title Dream a little dream has been covered with metallic gold ink,
then using the white gel pen, I have outlined the larger word to pop.
The photo and some of the paper edges have also been given a border with the pen.

That's my page for this week.
I hope you have enjoyed the process.
Have a fabulous weekend
and may there be plenty of crafting.
Please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next page.

Enjoy Life by Amanda Hartmann

Hi AAS fans!

I love the new collection from Pink Paislee - Indigo and Ivy - an awesome mix of colours, with touches of gold. This range will be back in store soon. Today's layout features the teals and blues and of course, I brought in the gold!

To create my page I started with some white cardstock and a single sheet of paper from the Indigo and Ivy collection.
I wanted to use multiple photos in this layout of my daughter in the tree. For each photo, I mounted them on a range of papers from Indigo and Ivy 6x6 paper pad, and some white cardstock.

Behind the photos, I cut some 6x6 papers in half and spread them across this layout. I was able to hide any paper joins by laying the photos over them.

Now let's look at the close ups to see how I embellished the page with more things from the Indigo and Ivy collection, as well as some 2 Crafty chipboard.

Around the photo I used a 2Crafty chipboard Pointed Doily Frame, which I embossed in gold, to bring more gold to the page.

I added stickers, chipboard and acetate words from different packs in the Indigo and Ivy collection. I layered these together in clusters throughout the page.

I added square and rectangular stickers off each side of the photos, and combined with a flower and/or heart sticker.

And I finished the page with some gold splatters.

Thanks for looking today. Next week I will have a different page with the same collection!

You Inspire Me
with Bella Blvd Let's Go on an Adventure
by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Loving the bright, fun colours in the Bella Blvd Let's Go on an Adventure. Eventhough it was created with an outdoorsy /camping vibe, the range is certainly suitable for any images with it's bright & colourful B sides.

You Inspire Me
As my photo is quite neutral in colour I decided to go with some bright and funky papers and this collection was perfect. I've layered the papers on to white cardstock to make them stand out and added a black border for that added pop.
I've added some flower clusters to embellish my layout, drawing the colour inspiration from the floral patterned paper - Wildflowers. I've used these fab foam alphas from Jillibean soup to create a large title for my layout and finished with some enamel dots to add a little more colour.
I've even added some visible journaling to this page! Don't love my handwriting and usually like to keep it hidden but occasionally you will see some!
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

My Sunshine using Simple Stories Simple Vinatge Traveler by Kerryn Fry

Happy Friday Everyone!
Today's project is the second created with the fabulous collection,
The black & white photos look great with this soft colour palette.
I've been in the archives again this week,
going way back to 2005 and Harry learning to swim.

I have started with my usual kraft cardstock base.
Then the background effect was built with layers of Distress Oxide Inks,
different stencils and both foam & clear stamps.
I've used Oxides in Wild Honey, Storm Sky and Dried Marigold,
some water and packaging.
Once dry, I have stencilled with white ink
and Wild Honey Distress Ink.

The Sun has come from the 2 Crafty Weather Bits,
it has been covered with Tea Dye Distress Paint
and finished with Dimensional Magic
The stamping layer includes using Kaisercraft Tiny Dots
and foam stamps in crosses and circles.

I have hand cut the splashes from the green with white spots paper Hello World.
They have been added to the page with foam tape
and then I have applied a layer of Dimensional Magic for a wet look.
I've also added a few spots of Dimension Magic to the base for further splashes.

The 2 Crafty Tahnya's 6" border has been covered with Picket Fence Distress Paint
and then finished with Dimensional Magic.
It was added to the top of the photos to draw the eyes to the centre.

was painted with Antiqued Bronze Distress Paint.
It has been used under the photos to run across the page,
I have added a strip from the paper Off The Grid to sit across the chipboard.

I have embellished the page with different size flags.
The larger flags have been hand cut from the 6x4 Elements paper
and the smaller flags from the 2x2 Elements paper.

The 'wild & free' square was also hand cut from the 2x2 Elements paper.
I've used foam tape to give the square a lift.

The 2 Crafty title My Sunshine was covered with Tea Dye Distress Paint.
Then given a coat of Dimensional Magic.
I like the shiny finish of the different elements to work in with the water theme.

That's all from me today.
I hope you have enjoyed the process of the page.
Have a fabulous weekend
and please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.

Dream Destination by Amanda Hartmann

Hello AAS fans!

Another travel page today - this one from Bosnia-Herzegovina!
And I have used the wonderful Simple Stories Vintage Traveller collection again.

I have layered a few papers in the collection in the background and behind the photo: Rust/Green, and Off the Grid. I loved the world map design in the Off the Grid paper.

I finished the page simply; with journaling, stickers from the Simple Stories collection and some 2Crafty chipboard.

In these close ups you can see the various stickers from the 12x12 pack.

I used the "dream" chipboard word from 2Crafty pack with Webster's Alphabet stickers, for the title of the page.

I also included some scatters of 2 Crafty chipboard stars.

Thanks for looking today!
Amanda
