"Beautiful Smile" with Kaisercraft Wildflower by Kerryn Fry

Hello and welcome back to the AAS blog this lovely Friday morning.

I thought I would stay on my dark side of scrapbooking for another week
and have created another girly page to showcase the gorgeous
Kaisercraft collection Wildflower.

This week I went for black & white photos to allow the pretty colours in these
pattered papers to shine. The photos are of my gorgeous niece,
taken while she was here on holidays earlier in the year.

This week I did a little experimenting with the background effect on the page.
I love using Bazzill Kraft cardstock as a base, but when stenciling using Distress Inks
the inks tend to soak into the Kraft and they loose a bit of their intensity.
So I thought I would try sponging a base layer of gesso through the stencil first, let it dry
and then I used my chosen Distress Ink colours, Aged Mahogany, Worn Lipstick
and Abandoned Coral to create the background.
Looks pretty cool!

I have used a few of the bits and pieces from the Kaisercraft Wildflower Collectables and
then added a few more fussy cut flowers from the patterned paper.
Tucked into each of the clusters are some 2 Crafty Lattice Leaves painted with Distress Paints.

The good old glitter glue made another appearance this week, using Black Diamond Stickles in the flower centers and Fruit Punch to jazz up the title piece.

2 Crafty chipboard 2017 also featured on the page covered with Aged Mahogany Distress Paint.

That's all from me today.
I hope you have been inspired to try something different with the background of your pages
and may you all have a wonderful weekend.

"Dream girl" by Amanda

Hello again,

And welcome to my last share for April - wow, where did that month go?

As soon as I saw the Carta Bella 'Rock-a-bye baby' collections, I knew I had to get the girl range so I could use to scrap photos of my new baby niece. Something so sweet about a new baby, so many little moments to treasure and scrap.

Here is my page....

You can see I used lots of different papers, front and backs to layer up behind my photo, there was just too many lovely papers in the range.

Then I finished with some of the Chipboard pieces in the range and some 2Crafty Chipboard.

Don't you love the Rocking Horse? Layered with some chipboard banners from the collection, it looks fab! I also inked (using Prima ink) and dimensional magic'd some 2 Crafty Chipboard lattice leaves and arrow word to add in there. Kaisercraft mini bloom and some sequins finish it off!
Another sweet little cluster here...
Love this range for those sweet baby photos! ;)

So thankful you stopped by today!
Amanda

To Read Pile with Pink Paislee Oh my Heart Paige Evans by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Continuing to share some pages with the stunning Pink Paislee Oh My Heart by Paige Evans collection today for my page;

To Read Pile

Loved the book paper in this collection which was the basis for my design today. I've layered up a few of the papers to give this page lots of colour against the white background.

Once again I have gone to the ephemera pack to embellish - love the books and more books subtitle. I've added a paper border around it so it stood out a bit more against the white.
Some flowers from the ephemera pack and I've fussy cut one of the books from the paper to use as an embellishment. A flair button and some very old stickers to add my title.

Loving all the colours in this collection!
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

"Those Eyes that smile" with Kaisercraft WildFlower by Kerryn Fry

Good morning to everyone.
Kerryn here on this wonderful Friday morning to share with you my next project.
Today I have stepped out of my comfort zone and gone a little girly.
I fell in love with the Kaisercraft collection Wildflower
and I knew straight away that I had a bunch of photos I could use for it.
For this page, I have settled on a photo of my gorgeous great-niece taken on New Years Eve 2015 when us oldies where looking after the girls while the parents went partying, times have really changed.

The 2 Crafty chipboard title Those Eyes That Smile was the perfect match for this photo.
I have given all of the chipboard a base coat of gesso before adding a few shades of
Lindys Stamp Gang Sprays with a paint brush and lots of layering.
I love the finished mottled effect which was similar to the base paper.

I have also used 2 Crafty Angie's Vine and a small heart from the
2 Crafty Arrowed Heart Set amongst the cluster using the same technique.
The chipboard has been finished with Dimensional Magic
to seal the colours and pattern on the chipboard.

My scissors are never far from a good patterned paper,
so I have fussy cut a few butterflies to add to my page and have added a little sparkle
across the page with Diamond Stickles, my all time favourite.

Thank you for visiting the blog today, have a lovely weekend and
we hope to see you back here on Monday with another fabulous page from Fiona.

"And then I found you", by Amanda

Hi AAS fans!

Welcome to my Wednesday share! This one is dedicated to my husband!
I was inspired by the Prima "Wild and Free" range - I love the copper foil touches to this paper! Amazing!

Here is my page and some close ups:

I used one main patterned paper from the Prima Wild and Free collection- and then cut up another paper to use all the tags, triangles and smaller paper elements on the page.

But I had most fun creating the clusters. From my stash I added: vellum, black tulle, old skeleton leaves, copper wire and sequins. Layered amongst these are some awesome All About Scrapbooks goodies.

Here you can see 2Crafty chipboard leaves-  from the Foliage Set 1. I used some metallic inks on this chipboard and then added Dimensional Magic. While the dimensional magic was drying I sprinkled in some course gold glitter and wrapped copper wire around this. Also in this small cluster are

In this cluster, you can see that I have also added a 2Crafty Circle Dot Frame, lightly inked. I actually cut it in half and used the two halves on either side of the photo.
I raided my stash of Flutterby Designs Flairs to find one for this page. There is a great range of these in store.

I repeated the same elements in this cluster also.

That's all for me today, thanks for looking!

Selfie with Pink Paislee Oh My Heart Paige Evans by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!!
I have a new collection to play with this week - Pink Paislee Oh My Heart collection by Paige Evans - love, love this collection so much!

This weeks layout:

Wonderful You

The design of paper no. 12 lent itself perfectly to cutting two large triangles from the design. I love the patchwork style pattern, it has so much colour.  I've only used a little bit of paper from the other 2 patterned papers to create the small banner pieces under the first photo.

Once the main paper was down, I have used some of the ephemera to add a frame to the back of one of my photos, then added some flowers and other ephemera pieces to embellish.

Finishing off with some wood veneer, flair button and puffy stickers and just a sprinkling of ink splatters.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Just Hanging About with Bella Boulevard Let's Go by Kerryn

Good Morning to everyone
Great to have you visiting us here on this holiday Friday.
It's my turn on the blog today and I'm here to share a page I have created
using the Bella Boulevard collection Let's Go.
This collection is actually for travel, but I loved the classic primary based colors in the range.
So I thought I would put the reverse side of papers to good use.
This photo is a couple of years old, it is amazing how much our boy has changed,
but he still has the best pout.

The background has been created using a combination of three Distress Inks colours and
three different The Crafter's Workshop 6x6 Templates. Plus a layer of random stamping.

I have covered the 2 Crafty Square Collage with black archival ink and then
used the patterned paper to back some of the squares in the collage.

The 2 Crafty title Just Hanging About has been randomly painted with two
coordinating colors from the Distress Paint range and then a final coat of Dimensional Magic

The 2 Crafty Square Barber Wire Frames   were painted grey with Hickory Smoke Distress Paint.
The smaller frame was used on the photo to draw the eyes to that gorgeous pout
and the larger frame was dissected to use across the page.

The perfect embellishment for this page was the sad face from the 2 Crafty Smiley Faces set.
I have used Carved Pumpkin Distress Paint and Dimensional Magic to decorate it.

I finished the page off with some random doodling with a black gel pen.
Thank you for visiting the blog today, I hope you enjoy this lovely long weekend
and manage to squeeze in some crafting or at least a little retail therapy.

"Sweet Memories", by Amanda

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my Wednesday share day!

Check out these bright papers (from the "Oh My Heart" Pink Paislee) and
these bright sweet girls!

A perfect match!

I was recently away on a scrapbooking retreat and one of the ladies was doing a
patchwork quilt on her sewing machine.
I told her I couldn't do that, and she challenged me! So out came my old sewing
machine - I inherited this machine from my Gran when she died, so it is an oldie
 but a goodie.
I cut out squares from the #10 paper in the range and started this patch work design for
my page.  To add detail, I also inked all the edges of the papers with a Prima Ink.

Layered with some more papers in the range, some white cardstock and more
stitching and the page came together.

For the title, I used some 2 Crafty chipboard words from the Arrow Word Set 1, which I inked and added a layer of Dimensional Magic. I used raided my button stash for some simple finishing touches, and used these throughout my page.

In this cluster I found the bright puffy telephone sticker from the Fancy Pants range to
include, along with a Kaisercraft mini bloom.

Here I added some journaling on a CVS Wild at Heart Sticker, and combined with another
sticker and the sweet 2 Crafty Beaded Hanging Heart.
When was the last time you had your sewing machine out?

Thanks for stopping by today! ;) :)
