Remember, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all,
Sharing a second time this week - this time using the versatile
My Minds Eye: My Heritage collection

I used some black cardstock for the base, but the focus of this page was really layering all the awesome prints of the patterned papers. The designs and colours of this range make it suitable for any photos. I have used travel photos, and there are a number of travel theme accents within the collection.

Here are the papers that I used: Family tree, Roots, Memories and Origin. I used the Family tree and Origin papers at the base - I used the reverse side and will need to buy more, as I want to use both sides! I created the folded paper panel on the right side of the page using 3 sides of the Roots and Memories papers. Each paper layer had the edges inked black.

In these photos I hope you can see the folded paper technique I used. The dimension of it is lovely, although hard to capture in a photograph! I folded the three different designs of paper on angles. I inked the edges and then layered them evenly to create the panel.

I finished with bits and pieces from the Mixed Ephemera bag.

In the top right corner, I layered different tags and elements from the ephemera bag. Some acetate elements are included, which I stapled to the tag with some threads. (I hate the wet glue showing on clear acetate pieces).

I included more circles and tags from the ephemera bag on the right side of the photo.

And in the bottom left of the photo, I added the word tag with thread, acetate and threads all stapled together.

That's it for this week! Next week we are into December! Final countdown for 2019.

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Cheers, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all,
With 28 days until Christmas, it seemed like a good time to crack out an awesome Christmas
range and share a Christmas page.
I used the fun and bright Pinkfresh Studios Home for the Holidays Collection.
 Here it is!

I took a collection of the papers in the collection (Holiday Gifts, Happy Holidays, Peace & Love), and made panels and layered them down the page.

I placed this on white cardstock. On either side of the patterned paper, I inked some gold spots through a stencil and made some gold splatters as well.

I finished the page with Home for the Holidays: Cardstock Stickers.

I clustered stickers in either corner of the photo. I love the reindeer and some presents. A little foam tape on the stickers adds a little dimensions.

I loved all the layers of paper, with distressed edges.

A fun family page!

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Crazy Family
with Simple Stories So Happy Together
by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

I'm back today with another layout created with Simple Stories So Happy Together collection:

Crazy Family
Love the text paper with it's little hearts and family words, perfect background for my layout. I have added some paper layers from the range - how cute is the house paper? Then I  added some texture with some chipboard grid panel, to which I have added some roughly applied ink.
I've kept the embellishments simple with some flowers, love hearts and word stickers, before finishing off my layout with my title.
I've used a mix of stickers and a 2Crafty chipboard word family. The word family I cut from the We are Family chipboard piece and then after inking I have very carefully bent the word to give me the curve of my title.
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week
Fiona

Making Beautiful Memories using Vicky Boutin Wildflower & Honey by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
This week I've created another colourful page using
Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey.
The black & white photo of my big sister, Mr 15 and myself,
was taken at my Nieces's 21st birthday a few years ago.
We had so much fun with the photo booth.

I have used a 12x12 Kraft Cardstock base,
then decorated it with Scattered Straw & Wild Honey Distress Oxides

The black & white photo has been matted with Black Cardstock
and placed on layers of patterned papers.
I've used the Sticker Book to add different embellishments to the paper layers.

The hearts were hand cut from the Fields of Dreams paper
and attached with foam squares to create another layer.
I've used plenty of 2 Crafty chipboard on the page.
The 2 Crafty Polaroid Frame has been covered with patterned paper,
backed with more paper and becomes the perfect journal spot.

The 2 Crafty Stars Pack have also been covered with patterned paper
to balance the pops of colour across the page.
The 2 Crafty Geometric Arrow has been covered with black ink
and used as a base for the larger star.
The larger 2 Crafty star frame has been created as a second journal spot.
I have doodled faux stitching around the edges of the stars, one paper piece
and drawn circles onto the background as an extra effect.

The 2 Crafty title Making Memories has been covered with black ink
and then roughly outlined with a white gel pen to create highlights.
I've added a few more words from the Sticker Book.

Thank you for dropping by today,
I hope you have enjoyed the process.
Have a lovely weekend
and please join us again on Monday.

Adventure, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi everyone!
Some fun and bright travel papers - are versatile for any photos - including out and
 about photos like these!
I used the Doodlebug I heart travel collection for today's page.

I started with white cardstock - for the base and to mount the photos.

The blue Picture This paper and the red Love this paper were the next layers.

I added a panel of the reverse of the Love this paper  and then finished with stickers to embellish.

The final step was white pen doodling and white ink splatters.

In these close ups, you can see some of the awesome sticker I sued. They are from the
12x12 This and that sticker sheet. Using some foam tape, I layered them up on their clusters.

Thanks for looking today!
Amanda

Awesome Foursome
with Simple Stories So Happy Together
by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This week I'm creating with Simple Stories So Happy Together collection, perfect for those family photos.

Awesome Foursome
For this page I've chosen a woodgrain background (from the Celebr8 Captured Memories pack) and then I've used torn paper strips from the Simple Stories So Happy Together range,  vertically down my page to add some textured layers. I've double mounted my photo to add some extra colour.
The journaling bits and pieces are the perfect addition to embellish, I've tucked a few under my photo and layered others over the top of my page.  Finishing off with some small subtle flowers.
Love these new Thicker words, they make the perfect easy title. I've combined mine with some older alpha thickers.
Thanks for stopping by

Till next week
Fiona

Snow Happy using Photo Play For The Love of Winter by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
Today the page I've created has been done with the collection
Photo Play For The Love of Winter.
Using more photos from our favourite seasons.
Mr 15 posing in the snow at Lake Mountain, Victoria.
We always love it when the snow falls.

Another clean background this week.
Starting with my fav Bazzill Kraft Cardstock,
I've layered the papers under the photo.
Using a white gel pen, I have doodled around the edge of the paper.

I have hand cut some elements from the paper Get Cozy.
The snowman and subtitle have been added to the page with foam tape.
I've also added some element stickers for some extra detail.
The 2 Crafty Funky Snowflakes have been covered with
Picket Fence Distress Paint.
Once dry, I've added Stickles glitter glue.

Love the sparkle on the snowflakes,
I've also added touches of glitter to the papers

One of the tress has been hand-cut from Get Cozy,
that has been add with foam tape.
The second tree is a sticker from the Element Sheet.
The birds and words are all stickers.
I've also doodled some faux stitching with a white pen.

The 2 Crafty title Snow Happy was a custom title.
It was base-coated with Distress Paint
and then given a thick coat of Diamond Stickles.
I have created a tag from patterned paper
and added the title to it.

Thanks for visiting the blog today,
I hope you have a great weekend.
Please join us again on Monday fro Fiona's
next project.

Journey, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi AAS fans,
Sharing a pretty page today - using the Prima Apricot Honey collection.
I love the florals combined with the copper highlights in this collection.

I used two main papers to create this page.
I started with the grey back of the All Together paper for the background - I also mounted
the photo in this paper and fussy cut some butterflies.

Next I machine stitched the next paper - this glorious marbled floral Tiny Blossoms paper.

To embellish the page, I used some 2 Crafty chipboard pieces, some muslin, some flowers,
 and the fussy cut butterflies.

For the title I used the 2 Crafty word Journey. I embossed the title using a copper embossing powder. I layered this on a 2 Crafty flower doily (painted grey), with muslin and flowers.

The flowers are Prima Lovely Peaches flowers from the same Prima collection.

I also painted a 2 Crafty chipboard key grey and placed it amongst muslin, flowers and a
 fussy cut butterfly.

What a pretty page of my beautiful daughter!
Thanks for looking,
Amanda
