Do What You Love using Simple Stories Quarantine by Kerryn Fry

Good morning AAS Fans.
Today I am sharing my first page using the collection
Simple Stories Quarantined.
I loved this range for the patterns and colours
and knew I could put together a masculine sports page.
With so many soccer photos of Mr H,
I thought a double page was the way to go.
Great to put 7 photos together.

Left side

Right side

The page has started with Bazzill Kraft Cardstock for the base.
For the basic layout, I've taken inspiration from a sketch
on Pinterest created by Allison Davis.
I've tweaked the photos, made some of them larger
and layered the square photos with Bazzill Raven Cardstock.

The 2 Crafty chipboard ties everything together.
The 2 Crafty Polaroid has been covered with
Black Soot Distress Paint.
I've outlined the frame with a white pen.

I've used eight 2 Crafty Chevron Bits,
they also been covered with Distress Paint
and placed in a visual triangle on the page.
I like to use arrows on a sport related page
to create movement across the page
Each Chevron has been with fake stitching and a white pen.

The small & large 2 Crafty Circle arrows
have been covered with Distress Paint
and stuck down on either side of the page.
The 2 Crafty Mini Camera was painted in two layers.
The first layer is Tumbled Glass Distress Paint
and then finished with Candied Apple Distress Paint.

I've cut journal spots from the Current Reality paper
and added them to two different places on the page.
Each journal spot has been outlined with a black pen
and then added heart stickers from the Cardstock Sticker Sheet.

The 2 Crafty Wire Stars were covered with
Candied Apple Distress Paint
and have been used as a base for the title.
has been covered with Black Soot Distress Paint
and then lifted with foam tape.

I hope you've enjoyed the page.
It's nice to do a multiple photo layout every now and then.
Thank you for visiting the blog today,
have a fabulous weekend.

Filled with Possibility with Pinkfresh Studio Days of Splendour by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back again this week with more Pinkfresh Studio Days of Splendour. Such a pretty collection. This weeks layout:

Filled with Possibility

I was inspired by the green tones in this collection, combined with the mustard and a pop of pinks and mauve.

I started with my papers, then decided upon my background. I have used the Kaisercraft Fallen Leaves stamps to create an autumn leaf background in colours to compliment the patterned papers.

Next I have used the ephemera and stickers to create some clusters, adding a little extra stamping to the flower cluster with the Kaisercraft Fallen Leaves stamp.

Another cluster

I finished off with the tag as my title - Filled with Possibility and added some twine and an ephemera flower.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

#christmasjoy using Cocoa Vanilla Studio Merry & Bright by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
Today I'm sharing my final page with the collection,
Cocoa Vanilla Studio Merry & Bright.
I only have a few scraps left.
The photos were taken on Christmas day 2012,
some great snaps of my Great-Niece in her special outfit.
It didn't stay clean for long
and I think that was her brother's present.

The page started with 12x12 Bazzill Kraft cardstock,
the perfect base for the gorgeous colours in this range.
The two portrait photos have two layers underneath,
The soft pink of Joy to The World
and the wood panel of Season Greetings.

I've layered more of the patterned papers in a 't' shape on the page
and then outlined the lighter paper Oh Christmas Tree
with a fake stitch border, using a black gel pen.
All have the flowers have been hand cut
from the remaining piece of Joy to the World.
Some flowers have been lifted with foam tape,
the other stuck directly to the base cardstock.

The Christmas trees, holly and journal spot are
Each tree has been lifted with foam tape
and then staggered on the page.
The journal strip and heart flag were hand cut
from the Oh What fun page and added with foam tape.
Using foam gives these elements some extra dimension.

The Christmas Tress and flowers have been given
a little sparkle and decoration with Ranger Stickles Glitter Glue.

The 2 Crafty Word Set 1 was used for the title,
the #merrychristmas has been covered with Worn Lipstick Distress Paint.
The #christmasjoy has been covered with Candied Apple Distress Paint.
Simple techniques that match the colours in the collection.
Stuck down directly to the papers.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.
I hope the page has inspired some Christmas scrapbooking.
Have a fantastic, relaxing weekend.
Hopefully there is some crafting time set aside.

The Beauty of Right Now with Pinkfresh Studio Days of Splendor by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have the lovely Pinkfresh Studio Days of Splendour to create with.

The Beauty of Right Now

For this page I love the design of the Moments that Matter paper and fussy cut that to create a deep V, then roughed up the edges. Next I matted my photo with the green toned papers and added a small piece of Simply Magical paper to underneath. A doily to the right corner of my matted photo to add a little softness and interest.

The Splendour Floral Ephemera is fabulous, with so many leaf and flower pieces that you can layer up as I have done here.

I added some watered down gelato splatters to the bottom of the page and interspersed some small flowers as though falling from the cluster.

I've used the stitched elements and chosen "the beauty of right now" to add to my photo and serve as a title.

Thanks for stopping by

Till next week

T'was the Night Before Christmas using Cocoa Vanilla Studio Merry & Bright by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
Today I am sharing another page created with the collection,
Cocoa Vanilla Studio Merry & Bright.
The perfect Christmas Eve photos of Mr H,
reading stories and sending lego figures around on the Christmas train.
I've used B&W photos to let the colours in the collection
and the background stand out.

The base cardstock is Bazzill Heavy Duty Marshmallow.
The perfect cardstock for mixed media.
The first layer in the background is Distress Oxide Inks & water.
Worn Lipstick & Abandoned Coral applied with plastic packaging
and a spritz of water.

Once the background was dry,
I've stencilled with the same Distress Oxide colours,
Then using Kaisercraft Texture stamps and gold ink.
I have stamped tiny dots and old grid patterns as another layer.

The Die Cut Ephemera pack provided
most of the embellishments for the page.
The tags, houses, flags, frame and hearts
have been added with foam tape.
I've added a little sparkle to different elements
of the embellishments with Stickles Glitter Glue

The journal spot and star strip have been hand cut
The stars have been highlighted with Stickles Glitter Glue.
The hearts have been outlined with a gold pen.

The B&W photos have been given another layer
with Raven Cardstock and lifted with cardboard.
I've added a few more patterned paper layers under the photo.
Then highlighted a few papers with fake stitching using a black pen.

The subtitle has been hand cut from the Oh What Fun paper.
I've cut it into two parts and added it to each photo.
I've used foam tape to give it more dimension.

has been covered with gold ink
and attached between the two photos.

Thank you for visiting the blog today,
hopefully you have been inspired by the steps.
Have a lovely weekend
and may there be plenty of crafting.
Please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.

Ocean Bliss with Celebr8's Ocean Bliss collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have another layout with the gorgeous Ocean Bliss collection by Celebr8, and I have used one of the collections Matt Board pieces for my title, named after the collection:

Ocean Bliss

The colours in this collection were perfect for this early morning beach photo I have.
To continue the beachy theme I have gone with torn paper layers to represent
the layers of sky, sea and sand in the photo.

Love the cute wave cut out that I fussy cut, I have added some texture paste to represent the ocean foam. I've also fussy cut out some of the sea flowers and shells to create a few clusters.

The title is matt board which I have painted in Dylusions paints to co-ordinate with the paper. I've added a little more white texture paste to the paper layers to tie the page together.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next time

Any Day Spent With You using Lady Pattern Paper Monsters in Space by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone!
Today I am sharing the last page I created with
The photo was taken at my brother's house,
Mr H, aged 5, giving me his best cheesy smile.

The page has started with my usual Kraft Cardstock base.
I've used Distress Oxide inks, plastic packaging and water
to create the first background layer.
Crackling Campfire and Wild Honey Oxides
applied separately to plastic packaging
and smooshed onto cardstock.

Once the first layer of Oxide Inks had dried, I've used
Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide
to stencil the next layer on the page.
The next layer is white gesso with a different stencil.
The scattered monsters have been hand cut from the patterened paper
and added to the page with foam tape.
The 2 Crafty Stars have been covered with
Crackling Campfire Distress Paint.
The star frame has been backed with patterned paper
and used as a journal spot for the page.

The photo has been backed with Black Cardstock
and the paper layers added under the photo.
The remaining 2 Crafty Stars have been added
to the bottom left of the photo, covered with Distress Paint.
The words have been hand cut from the patterned papers
and backed with Black Cardstock.

I've added the words to the page with foam tape
to create another layer to the page.

The title for the page has been created from a
quote found on the bottom strip of the patterned papers.
I have cut it into smaller pieces and backed each part with cardtsock.
The first part of the quote has been added to the top of the photo.
The remaining part of the quote has been added to the right of the journal spot.
The black fake stitching has been added to random parts of the page,
with a black gel pen.

I hope you've enjoyed the steps for this page.
Have a happy, crafty weekend
and join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.
