Enjoy today using Photo Play 'A Day at the Park' by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
Today I have created a page using the collection,
Photo Play 'A Day at the Park'.
Always love red, yellow, black & white together,
these colours were perfect for the page that I had planned.
This collection is based on a Mickey Mouse and Disneyland,
but you can always find enough element to suit your page.
This is my Dad and the photos were taken at the Railway Museum,
where Dad was able to drive a train for his birthday.
He loved every minute of it.

I've started the page with a 12x12 sheet of Kraft Cardstock.
It's my usual starting piece, but I think it works really well with these colours.
The background effect was created with Distress Oxide Inks
I have used Fossilized Amber with the bricked stencil
and Black Soot with the stitched stencil.
The colours have been randomly applied to frame the papers.

I have hand cut multiple stars from the different patterned papers,
giving them all a small border as I cut them out.
The Sticker Sheet had some great elements to add to the page,
they have been backed with Black Cardstock or patterned paper.
The four small photos have also been backed with black cardstock.

The tag has been punched from the patterned papers
and I have added a bow with some string to embellish the top of the page.
Love how the string frames that particular photo.
Most of the embellishments have been lifted with foam tape
to create extra layers and some dimension..

This week the chipboard has been given a very simple makeover.
The 2 Crafty Wire Stars have been covered with gold ink,
layered around the frame to form a base for the title.
The 2 Crafty title Enjoy Today has been inked in black
and stuck down to the stars.
I have used the sticker frame to highlight one of the photos.
It has been stuck onto black cardstock
and then popped on foam tape.

I have created to journal strips from patterned paper scraps,
I have matted the strips with the yellow patterned paper to define them better.
The hearts were stickers and I have added them to some black cardstock
and then cut them out.
Lots more foam tape added to lift these elements.

That's this page finished
and I've already started another page with a completely different theme.
Have a fabulous weekend, stay cool
and happy crafting!
Please pop back on Monday for Fiona's next page.

"Love you" with Simple Stories Kissing Booth by Amanda Hartmann

Hi AAS fans!
I loved the colours and patterns in the new Simple Stories "Kissing Booth" collection. Even though it is all about love and romance, I went a little crazy and used it with a photo of me with a good friend. The colours in my photos were just too perfect!
So here is my page.

I started with the Crazy for You paper as the base. Then for the next layers of patterned papers, I mounted them with white cardstock to break up the patterns. The floral stripes were next - the Smitten paper. Then I created a panel behind the photo using the soft pink Love Day paper.

I mounted the photo on black cardstock and a lace paper doiley.

Then I finished with some muslin, threads and the Chipboard Stickers.

Let's look at some close ups.
I used a chipboard sticker "love you" for the title, and layered this on a chipboard banner and floral cluster from the Chipboard Stickers pack. I also used some handmade Charms Creations - a white chevron and tab.
I added a little heart in the top left corner of the photo.

In the bottom right of the photo, I used another pink heart from the Chipboard Stickers pack.

That's it! Love this page, love my friend!

Thanks for looking,

Today with Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane by Fiona Johntonse

Hello everyone

Sharing the first of my layouts created with the beautiful Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane collection. I've been waiting for this colelction to arrive, it is just stunning.

I couldn't go past this gorgeous paper - Old School, and it formed the starting point for my layout.  I decided to cut the zig-zag strips, rough them up a little and then stick them onto some white cardstock. I added some paint sploshes to the white cardstock first in coordinating colours which I achieved using my Dylusions Paints.

I've embellished with the co-ordinating Emerson Lane embellishments and added some pieces from my stash to finish off the page.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Captured the Moment with Jillibean Soup by Kerryn

Good morning all.
Today I am creating with one of the new collections,
Jillibean Soup Garden Harvest.
The beautiful, bright colours worked well with this recent pretty photo.
This is one of my gorgeous nieces, who was visiting from Brisbane last week.
The two of us hit the Zoo last Friday to check out the Dinosaur and Big Bug collection.
I've gone back to doing what I love.
A kraft cardstock base with colour added.
I have used Distress Ink Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick
and then grabbed two Tim Holtz Layering Stencils.

Using a small script stamp and gold ink,
I have randomly added stamping as another layer to the background.
I have used the same stamp when decorating the title piece.

thin base coat of white gesso.
When still slightly wet, I have swiped with Charcoal Ink,
in long strokes across the chipboard.
Once the ink had dried, I have stamped with the script stamp and gold ink.
and finished with Dimensional Magic for that glossy look.

I have fussy cut some flowers and leaves from the patterned paper 'Plant the Seed'
Great, simple designs that were easy to cut out and layer with foam tape.
I have also used some elements from the Pea Pod Parts,
the small flowers and hearts were great to fill the clusters.

The 2 Crafty Dandelions are one of my favourite pieces.
For this page, I have painted these flowers with olive paint
and then randomly sponged Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive Distress Ink for texture.
The tips have been covered with Stickles Glitter Glue.

That wraps up my page for this week
and it means the start of my holidays....Yeah!
Thank for visiting today, have a great weekend
and we hope to see you again on Monday for Fiona's next page.

"love you more", by Amanda Hartmann

Hello all!

I hope you have settled back into your January routine!

Today I am sharing a page with a photo of my oldest daughter - dressed for Halloween. I used the latest collection of Kaisercraft Deep Sea, and even though the photo is not sea themed (she is dressed as an alien), the colours were too perfect to not use!

I started with a piece of white cardstock. For the background, I used White Gesso through a Kaisercraft 12x12 crosses stencil

To create the splatters, I combined Colour Shimmer Sprays in the following colours: Envy, Singin the Blues and Just Blue. I used a fine brush and splattered small fine sprays to the background in the 3 colours.

The main sheet of Kaisercraft paper I used is the Deep Blue paper - I cut as a panel behind the photo.
I also saved a section of the paper, and used the reverse of the paper to mount the photo as well.

Let's look at some more close ups.

On either side of the photograph, I used a 2 Crafty Flower Doiley. I painted this white and then embossed it with a fine white embossing powder. I layered it on some muslin.

I cut the doiley in half so you can see some of it on either side of the photo.

For little touches I add some stickers:
Word and butterfly stickers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio Midnight Accessory Stickers; and
Puffy blue heart stickers from Pinkfresh Studios Puffy heart sticker sheet.

And more stickers in the top corner of the panel too.

For the title, I used a 2 Crafty word title - "love you more". For this, I painted white and embossed white, and then did a layer of embossing in Colour Blast Deep Water. I like the texture and colour variations the two coats of embossing gives.

Thanks for looking,

Birthday Boy with Bella Blvd Wish Big by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Sharing today a birthday page for the four-legged member of the family who recently turned 5! The Bella Blvd Make a Wish collection was perfect to celebrate this occasion.

Birthday Boy

While I've predominantly used Bella Blvd the base paper is Cocoa Vanilla Studio - the woodgrain papers are my go to when scrapping Harry as the colours match him so well!

I've then layered the Bella Blvd papers, focusing on the turquoise that matches Harry's birthday hat. The Happy Birthday print on the paper I extended out to a banner so the words could be read.  I then added some  word strips from the borders paper to the top of the layout.
I've used the acrylic Birthday title from the Bella Blvd collection and teamed it up with some thickers. I've then found some co-ordinating turquoise embellishments - the 5 from an old Crate Paper collection and a CVS flair button. Added some stars and arrows from my stash and finished with some wood veneer stars.

Celebrate using Bella Blvd Wish Big Boy by Kerryn Fry

Morning everyone and welcome to 2019!
Today's page is my second birthday page using
Bella Blvd Wish Big Boy.
The photo is of a much older birthday boy this time.
and the collection was easy to adapt to suit our older man-child.
He really is growing up fast!

I have used a black cardstock background to pop the bright colours in this collection.
No background effects this week, just let the patterned papers shine.
Layering the patterns and plain papers under the photo, starting with the lighter colors first.
The photo and journal spot have been matted with black cardstock
to tie in with the background.

Most of the embellishments have come from the Ephemera - Words pack.
Some of the elements, I've fussy cut from the Daily Details paper.
The cake, some words and the journal spot were hand-cut
and then lifted with foam tape.

The music notes are from the Borders paper
and fitted in well with the theme of the page.
The title word 'Celebrate' is also from the Ephemera pack,
I have used foam tape and then doodled a faux stitching border with black pen.

The collection of hearts from the Ephemera pack were perfect
to cluster around the journal spot for the extra pop of colour.
I have used foam tape to arrange them
and then highlighted some of them with a black gel pen.

The speech bubbles were the final addition.
I've used the plain one for the year, using Kaisercraft Alpha Stickers
and adding a little sparkle with Diamond Stickles.
All of the bubbles have all been lifted with foam tape
and then one highlighted with pen.

It's a simple, yet colourful page this week.
Thanks for dropping in today.
Have a fabulous weekend
and check back in Monday for Fiona's next page.

Be Kind, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all,
Happy New Year! Welcome to 2019 with All About Scrapbooks.
I loved the fresh and fun colours of the new Jillibean Soup collection - You make MISO happy. Loved putting together this page of my three girls using the paper and embellishments.
I started with the blue background paper - Bite Sized Bits. On this I layered the spotty Tofu paper and the wavy pink Miso Paste paper.
For the photo block, I mounted the photos first on black cardstock and then the yellow Dashi paper.
Then I used diecuts and stickers to finish the page.
For the title (above and below the photos) I choose Be Kind, from the Foam stickers pack.
In each cluster I layered various diecuts, foam hearts from the foam sticker pack and hearts and flowers from the epoxy stickers pack.
I used some fine line black pen doodling around the paper panels.

And finished with a few splatters of  Dylusions black spray.
 Thanks for looking today!
