Christmas Dress ups, by Amanda H

Hi again,

Another week and another Christmas layout!
This also used the lovely Peace & Joy collection from Kaisercraft.
Our daughters are so wonderfully fun and creative, and this page showcases one
of their Christmas Dress up sessions.

I combined papers in the range with the stickers, plus some white to create this page.
I started with the Delight paper at the back and layered some white cardstock next.

I machine stitched this edge. For the photo block, I mounted the 5 photos on both the wood grain Delight paper and the dark green Elation paper. I used a distress tool to distress the edges of the photos.
Then I finished with a range of stickers from the Peace & Joy sticker sheet.
Across the bottom of the page, I used the longer stickers, including that cute string of holly. I also stacked some of the word stickers.
Plus I added that cute little bird!

For the title, I combined some word stickers from the sticker pack, with the Pinkfresh Studios White puffy letters.

These are definitely good Christmas memories!

 Thanks for looking today!

Happy 13 with Cocoa Vanilla Studio Midnight by Fiona Johnstone

Very excited to be able to share some layouts this month created using the
gorgeous new Cocoa Vanilla line, Midnight.

Happy 13

I chose the background paper All the Things as the basis for my page, love the pattern on this paper. I then added the Inky Depths paper to mount the paper on to give more definition.

The black and white flowers on the Sophisiticated paper were perfect to allow you to customise your background. I've used Distress Inks and water to paint some random watercolour onto the floral design.

To embellish my page I have used some of the beautiful 49 & Market flowers in store then the fabulous co-ordinating embellishments in the Midnight collection.

Love the chipboard banner - a cute detail that adds extra dimension to the page.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Favourite using ModaScrap Back to School by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone.
Today I am sharing a page created with the collection,
ModaScrap Back to School.
Great bright primary colours with the perfect patterns.
The photo was taken 3 years ago,
Mr 14 and his favourite teacher.

The page started with a base of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.
Most of it was covered with paper 02, love the little faces.
Lots of layers put together, the red paper is from another collection
to give the page a pop of colour.

I have covered the 2 Crafty Triangle Clusters with charcoal ink.
Once stuck into place, I have outlined the inside of a few triangles
with a blue gel pen.

The 2 Crafty Polaroid Frame was covered in patterned paper '03'
The frame was used to keep the focus on the faces to match the background paper.
The photo has been lifted with 3D foam tape to create another layer.
I have doodled a border around the frame with a black gel.
The title has been created with foam Thickers.

I have made the journal card with a tag punch
and the reverse side of the patterned papers which is plain white.
I punched a second tag from paper '01' and
chopped the top part for some colour.
The tag has also been lifted with foam tape.

The date tag has also been created using a punch
and the reverse side of paper.
My finishing touches are some faux stitching around a few of the papers,
using a black gel pen to define the layers.

A simple page this week.
The photo had been printed for awhile just waiting for the right paper.
Thanks for visiting the blog today.
Please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.

This is the season, by Amanda H

Hi everyone!

Only 48 days until Christmas! So it seems like a good time to scrap last years Christmas photos! Vanessa has loads of awesome Christmas ranges in store, you should check them out.
Today's page uses the Kaisercraft  Peace & Joy collection.

The highlight of this page is the Speciality Leafy Wreath paper. I added this to a sheet of white cardstock and machine stitched around the wreath a few times. I also mounted the page on some lovely rich dark green of the Elation paper. I also machine stitched around the edge of the page.

I mounted the photo on the wood grain tones of the Delight paper and then finished the page using stickers. I used the stickers from the Peace & Joy Sticker sheet.

There was an amazing sticker which combined lovely Christmas florals and leaves. I added this along the bottom half of the page, putting it on foam tape so it popped a little.

Here you can see the detail of the machine stitching on the wreath paper.

I combined other stickers from the sheet, various designs and word stickers.
I used the dark red scalloped sticker from the sheet across the page.

Thanks for looking today!
Hope you get some Christmas scrapping done!

Beautiful Ordinary Day with Pinkfresh Studios Indigo Hills 2 by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

I've got another layout to share with you today, using the leftover papers from Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills I've been creating with.
I challenged myself to use up the "harder" papers for this layout:

Beautiful Ordinary Day

I had these black and white photos in my to be scrapped stash and decided they would be perfect to use. I really like the purple papers but they can be hard to use so black and white photos are any easier choice!

I combined the purple with some of the lighter floral and added some of the peach as an accent colour.

I love these 2Crafty Mini Branches and I have used watered down Dylusions Paints to create the two tone affect with the purple then added highlights in the deeper blue. I finished them off with some splashes of white.

I still had lots of lovely ephemera in my pack to embellish the page, and I added some hearts from another Pinkfresh collection - Let your Heart Decide. A gorgeous flair badge from CVS went perfect with my purples too, before I finished off with some splatters of paint and then some journaling.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Today is Perfect using Kaisercraft Wonderland by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone.
Today I have created another snow page using the beautiful collection,
Kaisercraft Wonderland
This collection is not just for your Christmas photos,
it was perfect for this year's snow trip.
The photo is a snap taken by my big man,
a rare occasion when I am not behind the camera,
Mr 14 and I posing in the snow.

I have started with the usual kraft cardstock base,
but this week I have covered most of it with the patterned paper Frost.
I love the wood panel pattern on the paper
and made use of the trees in the bottom left corner and the stars on the top right.
I've hand cut some extra trees from the paper Winter
and added a few extra stars on foam tape from the Collectables pack.

The large banners and hearts were hand cut from the paper Chilled.
I have then added some punched snowflakes in white cardstock to the banner,
a sparkling centre with Stickles and some string across the banners.

The hearts were the perfect base for the 2 Crafty Snowflakes cluster
and a great addition to the base of the photo.
The 2 Crafty Snowflakes were painted with white gesso for a base colour
and then given a heavy coat of Ranger Stickles glitter glue for a little sparkle.

There are plenty of different die-cut snowflakes,
all cut from Bazzill White Cardstock.
The Collectables pack provided some extra snowflake centres,
the journal spot and mini trees.
The 2 Crafty Title Today is Perfect has been given a simple finish,
covered with a few layers of Pine Needles Distress Oxide,
I love the chalky finish.

That wraps up my page for this week.
Thank you for visiting the All About Scrapbooks Blog today.
Hope you have a crafty weekend
and please drop in again on Monday for Fiona's next page

"Turning 1", by Amanda H

Hi again,

Welcome to my final page for October and it is a cute and phunny one!
I used the new Doodlebug Designs So Much Pun collection.
With so many photos of my niece eating cake, I created this multi-photo layout which was complimented perfectly with these papers and stickers.

For the background, I used the Sweet Stuff paper from the collection.

For the panel of photos, I used some white cardstock.
I inked the edges and did some pink machine stitching.

I cut two squares from the So Much Pun paper - "It's gonna be o-cake" and "warm wishes" and placed them above and below the photos.

The page is finished with a big range of the stickers from Icon Too sticker pack - loads of sweets, lollies and candles made it perfect.

For the title, I used the sweet pale blue Pinkfresh puffy alphabet letters.

Thanks for looking,

Beautiful Memories with Pinkfresh Studios Indigo Hills 2 by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back today with another layout created with the stunning Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2:

Beautiful Memories
For this layout, I started by fussy-cutting the beautiful flowers on the Glen paper. Then I picked some of the matching papers to create some layers behind my photo, adding a doily to add to the softness.  As there was a lot of white, I added some pink paint, applied with the plastic bag technique and some extra splashes, to create a subtle background without taking away from the white space.
I've used the beautiful ephemera packet again to embellish my layout and the title is a mix of the Mini Puffy stickers and the puffy stickers from Pinkfresh Simple & Sweet collection.
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Trick or Treat using Echo Park Paper Hocus Pocus by Kerryn Fry

Good morning AAS Fans!
Today I have created a page using the awesome collection,
Echo Park Paper Hocus Pocus
We have always enjoyed celebrating Halloween in the past,
but now that Mr 14 is getting older, he is not so keen!
Lucky for me, I still have plenty of photos from previous years to scrap.

The page was started with the smooth side of the Bazzill White Cardstock.
Using my messy mat and some water, I have added Distress Oxides in
Wilted Violet, Spiced Marmalade and Hickory Smoke to the cardstock in layers.
Making sure to dry with a heat gun between each colour.
I have stencilled the cobweb with a Tim Holtz Layered Stencil and the Hickory Smoke Oxide
and the edges of the cardstock have been covered with Black Soot Distress Oxide
There was plenty of fussy cutting that followed for different elements.
Using Halloween Hats and the reverse of the 3x4 Journaling card papers,
I have cut out little skeletons and ghost to spread across the page.
All elements were mounted on foam tape to create different layers.
I have used the 2 Crafty Eerie Tree to frame the left side of the photo
and be the support for the Tombstone
I have hand cut the 'Trick or Treat' title from the 4x4 Journaling sheet.
With a knife, I have cut out sections of the web for a better effect
and then mounted it on black cardstock to give it a bit more pop.

The 2 Crafty chipboard was fun to decorate.
Using a makeup sponge, I have added colours to the Spooky Owl piece,
the ghost, tombstone and bat.
I used a white Sharpie pen to add the letters eyes to the chipboard.
Once the chipboard was dry, the moon on the Spooky Owl got a little Stickles
and the owl and little bat got a coat of Glossy Accents.
The Sticker Sheet added the finishing touches.

I think that's everything.
Thank you for visiting us today
Happy Creating and please check back on Monday for
Fiona's next project.
