Family Layout using Celebr8 Photobook
by Amanda H

Hi AAS fans,
Hope you are having a good week - today is my last share for October. I have used more
papers from the Celebr8 Photobooth collection.
I bought the paper pack, this is my second page and I still have lots of papers and
 cut-aparts left!
 Great value!

I used the neutral paper background, with blue on top.  I repeated the same papers under the photo. I cut the beautiful floral patterned paper into a circle. I inked the edges with soft black ink.

For the details, I hand cut the different tags, frames and words from the Celebr8 paper.

I finished with some Prima flowers, and leaves from my 49&market stash.

I love the colours in this paper pack!
Thanks for looking today!

Always Believe
using Celebr8 Captured Memories
by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

I have the most beautiful collection to share with you today, using the recently added to the store Celebr8 collection of papers and matt board.  You must check out these paperpacks, the papers are just stunning.

Always Believe in Yourself
How pretty is this paper I have used for my base paper? Love the little corner details on this. A lot of the papers have pretty little details that are great for fussy cutting - you can see I have cut out the little clock and also the words "close you my heart" from the paper. The packs contain journaling and embellishments you can cut out to suit your page.

I've teamed the paper with these cute matt board swirls and heart. You can treat these like you would chipboard. I have inked the swirls in a peach to match my paper but left the title and circle heart bare. I have added a little stamping with a script texture stamp and some pinecone ink to tie my layout together and finished off with some of the pretty Green Tara fantasy blooms.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Limited Edition using Vicki Boutin Wildflower and Honey by Kerryn Fry

Hi AAS Fans!
This week I have created a second page using the collection,
Vicki Boutin Wildflower and Honey
A simple page with lots of layers.
The photo is of a very young Mr 15,
clowning around outside with his working gloves on.

I've started the page with a very clean piece of Kraft Cardstock,
which is unusual for me!
The paper layers under the B&W photo have been mirrored
at the top and bottom of the page.
Then I have used the sticker book to embellish most of the page.

The leaves have been hand cut from the Greenery paper.
I've used foam tape to add them to the page
Then hand cut a flower from Full Bloom.

The Sticker Book was great for those extra words to use as sub-titles.
The foam tape helped to give some of the elements a little dimension,
the stars and some circles were left flat to create more layers.

The bright colours in this collection are gorgeous
and easily combined for this boy page.
I've used mainly blues, red and yellow,
but left a few pops of the rich pink.

I loved the touches of metallic in some of the stickers,
it worked well with the title.

The 2 Crafty Polaroid Frame has been covered with patterned paper
and backed with lighter patterned paper to use for a journal spot.

The 2 Crafty title Limited Edition has been covered
with Cosmic Copper Brillance Ink.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.
I hope you have enjoyed the simple steps for this page.
Have a great weekend
and please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.

You leave footprints.... by Amanda H

Hi all,

Welcome to my Wednesday share!
Last week I had an exciting delivery - some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays.
I made today's page using the new sprays.
I used them to colour the chipboard and to make the mixed media background.

I started with some white cardstock - and sprayed two colours on the background

Then I used a resist technique. I placed a 12x12 stencil on the page and sprayed water.
The water reacts with the Distress Oxide Spray and leaves an impression from the stencil.

Here you can see some of the impressions on the page in the Distress Oxide colour.

I mounted the whole page on some Kraft Cardstock as well!

Then I assembled my page with my photo and a mix of embellishments.

I cut a 2 Crafty chipboard title into two parts, to use in two locations on the layout. I sprayed the chipboard with both blue Distress Oxides.

I stuck these other some tissue paper, plasters tape and muslin.

Amongst the clusters, I used some sweet embellishments:  Prima flowers - Lovely Peaches - from the Apricot Honey range; Vicki Boutin - chipboard stickers- from the Wildflower & Honey range and Green Tara - white leaf sprays

Isn't the butterfly the sweetest? - it is from the Vicky Boutin Wildflower & Honey collection.
Layered with more stickers from the Vicki Boutin pack and more muslin, leaves and some
 stamen - I love it!

Around the sand word in the photo, I added a 2 Crafty Heart Strings frame - also coloured
 with the Distress oxide Sprays.

And finally to finish - I needed some splatters. I used Distress Oxide Spray in Pickled Raspberry, as well as some Dylusions Ink Spray in Black Marble.

Thanks for looking today - have you tried the Distress Oxide Sprays yet?

Amanda

Loving these Moments
with Jillibean Soup Spoonful of Soul
by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have a layout I created using the Jillibean Soup Collection - Spoonful of Soul. Love these colours and found them great for beachy/coast photos.

Loving the Moments
Love the fun scalloped paper, it always seems so mermaidy to me. I have teamed this up with the co-ordinating papers to create my design. After adding my photo I have added small flower clusters to the left and right of my photo.
I've added some journaling stickers and finished off with some 2Crafty Chipboard leaves, inked and then painted my 2Crafty Chipboard title before finishing off with some expoxy stickers.
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

It's a Sister Thing using Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey by Kerryn Fry

Good morning all!
Today I've created my first page using the amazing collection
Wildflower & Honey from Vicki Boutin.
The rich colours are divine!
The photo is my big sister and I posing at my niece's 21st.
Always trying to hide the aging bits.

Back to my favourite Kraft cardstock this week.
The background effect has been created with the Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Stencils
and Distress Oxide Inks in Scattered Straw, Fossilzed Amber, Wild Honey and Festive Berries.
I have applied the colours randomly on the cardstock
to highlight around the photo and papers.
The colours have been overlapped to blend with each other.

I've hand cut the flowers from Blossom and Full Bloom
and the leaves from Greenery.
These have been added to the page using foam tape
and I've added Diamond Stickles to the centre of the large flowers.
The 2 Crafty Doodled Corner has been covered with Gold Ink.

The small white flowers have also been highlighted with Diamond Stickles.
I have used the gold hearts, word and butterflies from the Sticker Pack

The 2 Crafty Geometric Arrow has been covered with gold ink
and then cut into two pieces to extend the length of it across the bottom of the photo.
The 2 Crafty Skeleton Leaves have bee covered with Distress Paint
and swiped with  gold Metallic Rub.

I have used the 3x4 journal card from the paper Mingle
And added the 'remember' word from the Sticker Pack

The 2 Crafty title It's a Sister Thing was covered with black ink
and then swiped with blue Metallic Rub to highlight it on the page.
The gold stars from the Sticker Pack were the finishing touches.
I used more stickers across the top of the page for a little extra colour.

And that's the page finished,
I hope you have enjoyed the steps.
Have a lovely weekend
and please pop back on Monday for Fiona's next page.

Enjoy Every Moment
using Doodlebug I {heart} Travel
by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all,

Here is another travel page to share today.
This one features the new travel collection from Doodlebug Designs: I Heart Travel.

I combined this collection with a watery mixed media background.

To create the mixed media background, I first painted the entire white cardstock with white gesso - this seals the page so the colours sit on top and can be moved around, rather than soak in quickly. I sprinkled some Colour Blast Shimmer Dusts In Peacock, Paris and Duke, and added water. I used the heat gun to dry it and more water to spread the colour where I wanted on the page.

I used strips of the Doodlebug Papers: Love this; Picture this at the top and bottom of the page and to mount the photo.

I embellished the page with stickers...  Picture Perfect: Sprinkle stickers and 12x12 This and that Sticker Sheet.

A longer sticker along the bottom of the photo, and smaller ones in clusters.

You can also see the water colour background in these close ups.

I continued more stickers at the top and bottoms of the page as well!

What a fun and bright range!

Thanks for looking,
Amanda
