Crazy Cousin Crew with CVS Daydream by Fiona Johnstone

Hello all

Another share today using Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream.

Crazy Cousin Crew

I love this background paper - so easy,no background work required! I have combined this with a rare and fave photo of the kids with their maternal cousins - rare as we live across 3 states!

I have used a simple banner style to frame the kids in the photo then embellished with a mix of stickers and ephemera from the Daydream collection. Adding a little flair button at the end.

I've used a cut file for my title and used up various pieces of the patterned paper in the range, then embellished with some flowers from the ephemera pack to finish the design & a sprinkle of enamel dots.

I've finished the layout with some word stickers.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Cool Dude using Simple Stories Bro & Co by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone!
This week I've gone back to the awesome collection,
Simple Stories Bro & Co
This is the second page created with this range.
The photo is 10 years old, taken in Brisbane,
while we were holidaying and visiting family.
Mr H was such a sassy six year old.

A simple design this week.
The base paper is my usual Kraft Cardstock,
no background effect this week,
just colourful layers of patterned papers.
I've used paper strips at the top & bottom of the page
and then embellished those strips.
At the top, I have hand cut the words 'Killin it'
from the paper Totally Legit.
The sticker quote is from the 12x12 Cardstock sticker sheet.
both pieces added with foam tape.

At the base of the page,
I've used more stickers from the 12x12 sheet
and added the date on a Journal Bit.

The photo has been matted with Black Cardstock
and then I have hand cut a black strip to add a trim to the page.
The stars are from the Sticker Sheet
and have been added with foam tape for dimension.
The layers of patterned paper under the photo have been outlined
with a fake stitch using a black pen.

The 2 Crafty Dotted Polaroid Frame has been trimmed
at the bottom of the frame and then covered
with Tumbled Glass Distress Paint.

I've used more stickers to decorate the frame,
The word have been added with foam tape at the bottom of the frame
and the speech bubbles at the top.

The journal spot from the Journal Bits
has been decorated with fake stitching
and more word stickers.

There are so many great pieces in the Journal Bits
Love the cap and 'Do your thing' piece.

The 2 Crafty title Dude has been covered with
Aged Mahogany Distress Paint.
Once the paint was dry, I've stamped the chipboard with gold ink
using the Chevron Kaisercraft Textured Stamp.
The word 'Cool' has been hand cut from the paper Totally Legit
and the remaining stars are from the Sticker Sheet.

Thanks for visiting the blog today,
I hope you've enjoyed the steps in the layout.
Happy scrapping and have a great weekend.

Together with Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Another layout to share with the stunning CVS Daydream Collection.

Feeling the effects of Covid and missing all the family in Queensland at the moment. Thankfully we did get up to visit in January before everything shut down.

Together

Love a woodgrain paper - I may have bought a few sheets of this - also it is the back of that fab rainbow from last week so it's definitely a paper you need at least 2 pieces of it!

With so many pretty papers in this collection the hardest decision is which to use, so I have used a few in this layout as they all work so well together. I love the stripey paper and think it ties in with all the different colours in my photo.

The ephemera and stickers are super cute, and add the perfect touch of floral and summer to the page.

The Title Die-Cuts - so perfect!

And these hearts! Oh these are so freaking adorable and the cutest finishing touch, I love, love, love these!

A little more ephemera and some word stickers to complete the layout.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Live everyday with intention using Echo Park Paper School Rules by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone!
Today I've created another page using
I am really enjoying going back
to some older school photos of Mr H.
These photos were taken on the last day of school 2009,
with his amazing class SSO.
It was a great first year!

This page started with a black cardstock base for something different.
The first layer is Distress Oxide Inks Stormy Sky,
Tumbled Glass and Wild Honey.
Using the inks in layers with Tim Holtz Layering Stencil,
I have created the background effect to surround the papers.

The stars have been die-cut from the paper Student Plaid.
They have been added to the page with foam tape
to give them a lift.
The paper layers have been outlined
with a white gel pen and fake stitching.

The journal strips have been cut
from the reverse side of Paper Airplanes.
I've used foam tape again to lift the strips off the pages
Both photos have been matted with black cardstock.

The tag has also been cut from Paper Airplanes.
I've used a black pen to outline the tag.

The Frames & Tags Ephemera pack provided the
extra embellishments for the page.
Had to make a slight change to one of the ephemera pieces
to accommodate the photos.

Another Ephemera piece was used to record the date
and has been lifted with foam tape.

has been covered with Candied Apple Distress Paint,
a great match to the papers.

You are my Sunshine with Cocoa Vanilla Studio by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

So excited to have this collection to share over the next few weeks.
Love the new Daydream Collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio and it has been super popular so get in quick while there are some top-ups!
You are my Sunshine

I adore this rainbow paper and it was the first thing I wanted to work with. I decided to cut out the rainbow then add it over the raindrops paper to create a little scene. I roughed up the edges of the rainbow so they had some dimension on the page.
Next this cute frame was perfect for a photo, I trimmed down a photo to fit, then added some embellishments from the ephemera and sticker pack, finishing with a cute flair button.

Love the words pack, so many combos to make the perfect title. I then added a little sun and words from the sticker pack, the little cloud from the Pebbles range toned in well to complete the scene.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Our Soccer Star using Simple Stories Bro & Co by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone.
Today I'm sharing my first project using the amazing collection,
Simple Stories Bro & Co.
I've selected some soccer action photos from last year's NCSS event.
Mr 16 '#22' doing what he loves in Queensland.
I decided to use B&W photos for this page
to let the colours of this collection stand out.

I love the primary colours on Kraft cardstock.
So I've started with my favourite base 12x12 cardstock.
I have decorated the background with a Vicki Boutin 'Let's Wander' stencil
and Candied Apple Distress Ink.
I've stencilled the pattern in three separate places on the paper.
The using the patterned paper You Rock,
I've hole-pinched small circles to add the the centres of the pattern.

The Journal Bits pieces provided the perfect embellishments for the page.
I've used foam tape to lift these elements
and on the bottom photo to create the extra layers.
The fake stitch lines have been added with a black gel pen
to different elements across the page.
I've tied some string to the tag for a little texture.

The patterned paper Totally Legit was a
fabulous resource to hand-cut some extra words
and add them to the page.

The Cardstock Sticker sheet provide the 'you rock' word,
the 'Rad' tab and 'so awesome' stickers on the page.
The Journal Bits had the circle pieces  and date journal spot,
these elements were added with foam tape.

I have covered it with Black Soot Distress Archival Ink.
The soccer ball in the title has been backed with white paper,
the letters and the stars have been outlined with a white pen.

Thank you for visiting the blog today,
I hope you have enjoyed the steps in this project.
Have a wonderful weekend,
with plenty of time for crafting.
Please join us again on Monday.

Make a Wish with Simple Stories Magical Birthday by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I'm sharing a page created using the gorgeous Magical Birthday collection
by Simple Stories:

Make a Wish

I started with the cutfile for this layout, and used the 6x8 papers from the Simple Stories Magical Birthday collection to back the cake cutfile. Once this was done, I layered some papers behind my photo to tone in and worked out where everything would sit on my page.

After that I went to town with the 6x6 stencil! I've used a different ink for each shape - this was a bit time consuming, but I love the effect.

The cake I embellished with some of the Magical Birthday Enamel dots, and
I embellished  the rest of my layout with the Magical Birthday 4x6 sticker book - you get so much in these books!

Some finishing touches with a 2Crafty chipboard title and a CVS Flair badge.

Year 1 using Echo Park Paper School Rules by Kerryn Fry

Good morning AAS friends.
This week I've gone back to the fabulous school collection,
Echo Park Paper School Rules to create a page.
The photos are from 2010,
Mr H at the end of the school year.
Sporting his toothless grin and spikey hair.

Iv'e started with my favourite Kraft cardstock base.
The background has been decorated with Black Soot Distress Ink
and the Brick Tim Holtz Layering Stencil.
The base patterned paper is from Carta Bella School Days.
I've torn the paper diagonally with the white edge exposed.
Both photos have been added to black cardstock
for an extra layer.

The stars and apples have been hand cut from the School Day paper.
They've been added to the page with foam tape.
Such an easy way to embellish a page.

I've also hand cut the owl and the books
to build clusters on the page.
The quote is from the Ephemera Pack
and popped up on foam tape.

The number 6 has been cut from the Numbers paper
and the school house cut form the School Days paper.
The alpha stickers have been added to black cardstock
to define the letters and added with foam tape.

Year 1 has been covered with Distress Paint
and once dried I've added a second layer
with Kaisercraft Tiny Dots stamp and white ink.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.
Hope you have enjoyed the steps.
Please join us again on Monday.
