Father & Son Adventure using Photo Play Best Dad Ever By Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone! Today I am sharing my first project using the collection Photo Play Best Dad Ever Warning: More snowflakes coming! This collection was just too perfect not to be used for this photos. Not your usual snowflake colours, but it still works well. The photo has my two most favourite people in the world, sharing our favourite holiday together.

I decided on a messy background for the base of this page.

Starting with my favourite Kraft cardstock,

I've then applied layers of Distress Oxide Inks, some water and plastic packaging.

Using the colours Aged Mahogany, Chipped Sapphire and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxides,

I have randomly applied the colours to appear between the paper layers.

The snowflakes are created from a stencil with white gesso.

and then some flicks of white are just watered down gesso.

The main patterned papers in either corner of the page 

have been torn with to create the white distressed edges.

I've used more layers of the papers and colours under the B&W photo

to help lift and highlight the photo.

My collection of snowflake dies have helped to embellish the page

and work with the 2 Crafty snowflakes.

The 2 Crafty Fernlike Snowflakes have been base coated with gesso

and then embossed with the Letter It Embossing Powder in Silver Tinsel.

I have also added some wood veneer snowflakes from my stash,

to work in with the kraft base and decorate the centres of the larger flakes.

The tags have been punch from the patterned papers

and embellished with some string.

For the title, I have used a combination of two different 2 Crafty titles.

I've used Father & Son from 2 Crafty Father & Son Moment

and Adventure from 2 Crafty Live your Adventure.

They have been base coated with gesso, like the snowflakes

and then embossed with Letter It Embossing Powder Silver Tinsel.

I finished decorating the page with some gems from Kaisercraft
