Kaisercraft "Limelight" by Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone....today I'm sharing 2 layouts using Kaisercraft's "Limelight" collection.
If you love GREEN like I do, then you will love this collection!
It is full of gorgeous green's in just about every shade you can think of....plus there's some lovely grey's and browns to co-ordinate as well.

First up is....

"Cahir Castle"

For my background piece I have used the grey woodgrain side of the "vibrant" paper, which I lightly coated in watered down gesso to begin with to help lighten it a bit. I then used a CW stencil as a stamp with gesso to get the white hexagon imprint you can see.
I am loving doing this to my backgrounds atm :)
I also randomly stamped with Kaisercraft "Arty" stamp & splashed around some
Key Lime Pie glimmermist

I then used various strips from the "today" paper, along with the scalloped border sticker & a few of the cut off pieces from the bottom of the pages to layer both horizontally & vertically on my page.

Here are a few close ups...

I've used a few g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s pieces from the Collectables pack in my cluster, layering them in and around each other....I've used one of the leafy sprays, the beautiful parrot/bird & the little white flower, along with some Green Tara & Petalloo flowers.

Here you can see the little bird a bit better....plus one of the buttefly stickers from the sticker sheet, and a few brads from last months kit.

Title & a few stickers & diecuts....with some of the stamped stencil work on the background.

I thought the Kaisercraft Arty stamp was perfect for stamping around the edges of where my papers were going to sit.  I first worked out where the papers would go, and before sticking them down I added some random stamping, so that just a bit would be showing out from the edges.

Here you can see a better view of the stamped stencil work with gesso :)
I randomly painted the stencil in gesso after working out what area I wanted to cover, then just flipped it over onto my paper....Such fun & I do love the effect! :)

And a close up of the main area of the page.
Pics are of Cahir Castle in Co. Tipperary - this was one of my fav castles while in Ireland.
My journaling will go on the back of the layout (haven't had a chance to get it done yet! :-/ )

Next up is a layout based on the Kaisercraft 1st Saturday sketch for March
"Memories of Inistioge"

I have used the gorgeous leafty "Learn" paper to create a border for my page, with the lighter "first step" paper ....and again,  I have used a Kaisercraft stencil (Bubbles) as a stamp, rather than as a stencil, using a few different coloured glimmermistsas to create my background.

Inistioge is in Ireland...a gorgeous little village with this amazing old bridge
and is so so green (as is all of Ireland!)

In my cluster I've used a few of the leafy diecuts from the Collectables pack (these are uttely gorgeous and so life like!), as well as a few other pieces from the collectables pack - plus some Kaisercraft blooms as well as some Petaloo flowers too that I have layered on top of the leafy sprays

Here's the cluster from a different angle....don't you think those leaves look so real?!?
The detail in them is amazing!

A few banner stickers from the Collectables pack, plus you can see a bit of my border stiching.

My title - and you can also see a bit of stamping using Kaisercraft's Tiny Dot stamp....I love this stamp because it is not overpowering & is quite subtle when added to a page.  I've also added some strips of Prima washi tape (from a previous months kit) in amongst my layers around the photo for some touches of yellow..

I've used a few diecuts from the collectables pack to create more layers in under my papers, both above & to the left of photo....plus I used a fairly old Rubon from my stash up the side of the photo which forms part of my title.

Another small cluster at the top left of the page....all pieces from the Collectables pack layered over each other, with a Flutterby flair button on top.

Again, more journaling is to be added to the back of my layout.

Thanks so much for dropping by today....I hope you have been inspired and enjoyed your visit :)
Linda xx

It is my fave place to just go and sit and enjoy... providing the weather is nice. I loved Cahir too... I managed from one of my trips to get a pic of the castle with black storm clouds behind it but the sun was out too... such dramatic colours... I must find it. I seriously love love love your travel layouts... You are one talented and insipiring scrapper... Just my style. You have found your place between clean lines and mixed media... just gorgeous. xox
