I've used one of the plain papers for my background with some stencil work, with layers of papers, stickers & pieces from the Collectables pack, choosing pieces with colours that tied in with the colours of the pavlova.
Here I've used one of the border pieces from the collectables pack, some chevron stickers & alpha stickers from both sticker sheets in this collection.
A small cluster of Collectables pieces, Kaiser & Prima flowers...... a chevron flair button and decorative brads left over from last months Simple Stories - I{heart} Summer kit.
Here is some of the template work using The Crafters Workshop 12x12 Stacked Triangles template (which is available in store - see list of products with link at the end of my post)
I used a sponge and a dabbing effect to try to get some texture into the background work...then splashed a few sprinkles of mists here and there.
More of the template work & another border piece from the Collectables pack popping out at the top of my paper layers.
Those fun chevron stickers again & a few diecuts from the Collectables pack
I LOVE these 2Crafty Chevron bits & can't get enough of them lately - so expect to see them on lots of layouts in the future :). I've added some texture paste to again get some texture happening, and then coloured the chevrons by painting them with Dylusions ink spray.
A few more pieces from the Collectables pack - so much value in these packs!! And as I mentioned before about this collection being great for layouts on children, zoo visits etc etc, there are so many gorgeous & cute little animal diecuts in the pack that would be perfect to add to these type of layouts....plus for birthday cards as well :)
And in case you're wondering....YES the Pavlova was delicious!!
Ok, next layout
"Luna Park"
As you can see....more beautiful, bold colours! I've used a brighter patterened paper for the background of this one, again choosing papers & embellishments with colours to match with the Luna Park photos.
I cut this yellow piece into a large banner shape for the base of the photos & my title.
There's also a couple of 2Crafty assorted arrows that I've inked in black.
A Flutterby Designs flair button & a die-cut from the Collectables pack.
Some more Collectables diecuts, plus sticker from the Sticker sheet.
And here you can see where I've created my own paper doily, by using the corner punch from one of my "around the page" punch sets to punch around the outer edge of the striped piece that I had previously cut into a circle.
Some strip journaling
And lastly an overall view of the main area of the page.
Thanks so much for visiting today....I hope you have been inspired to create some fun colourful layouts with this collection :)
Until next time....Linda x
Love what you created with this paper Linda, I knew it might be difficult with all grown children, but results are fantastic. Love them both.
