The page has started from a Bazzill Kraft Cardstock base.
Once I had laid out a plan for the page,
I have used a pencil to mark the basic design
and then removed everything to add the background effect.
Using the Echo Park 6x6 I Love School Grid Stencil
and Distress Oxide Inks, I have created the background.
The Oxides colours are Speckled Egg and Chipped Sapphire.
Adding light and dark highlights around the page.
I've used the smallest 2 Crafty Miniture Bracket Frame
to document the date on the page.
The frame has been covered with Black Soot Distress Paint
and has been backed with a piece of patterned paper
I added the paper layers to the page.
The main paper Big Adventures has been torn across
the bottom edge and rolled to expose the other side of the paper.
I have stamped some Vicki Boutin stars on the
reverse side of the Big Adventure paper
and hand-cut them to decorate the page.
I lifted most of the stars with foam tape to create extra layers.
The 2 Crafty View Finder has been covered
with Black Soot Distress Paint and backed
with Chomp Chomp paper to pop on the page.
I have hand cut a number of elements for the page
from the Best Kid Ever paper.
The clouds, sun and words 'Best Kid Ever'
have been added to the page with foam tape.
The photos have all been layered onto
the yellow side of the Chomp Chomp paper
and lifted with foam tape.
I've used a 2 Crafty Mini Bracket Frame
to highlight the sub-title 'Best Kid Ever'.
It has been covered with Candied Apple Distress Paint
and then cut in half to frame to words.
The Ephemera pack for this collection
provided the perfect embellishments for the page.
The circles, arrows and words created small
cluster across the page on the sides of the photos.
The journal card, small heart and frame were more elements
from the Ephemera Pack that have highlighted the lower photo.
The frame draws your eyes to that adorable face!
has been covered with Black Soot Distress Paint
and lifted with foam tape.
The final touch are the faux stitch lines added
to the page with a black gel pen.
