Scrapbooking the cats, by Amanda

Hello everyone!

I recently travelled for work and the office had two of the most awesome cats! I took these great photos of the "Office Cats" and I had to scrap them.

Luckily, I dove into my new papers and found the Kaisercraft Basecoat 4 Papers - they matched perfectly to the cats! And really this range of background papers could be used for so many different themes.

Last week I used Cocoa Vanilla Studio You Rock (their latest "boy" range) to scrapbook my daughter and today I used it scrapbook cats! Well, they are boy cats! Again, such a versatile range.

I created two pages to share today... similar designs and products... so enjoy!

Office cat #1 Starsky, features in "Love to Pose"

I started with the KC Paper "Boardwalk" as the background paper here.

I built up some panels of paper from KC "Scraped" and PP Take Me Away "18" and PP Take Me Away "3" behind the photos.

I also mounted the photos on some Fancy Pants Corrugated Cardstock and Black Cardstock, for some dimension and contrast.

I have used 4 main products as finishing touches in both pages, which you will see in these close ups:
  1. 2 Crafty Arrows and Word title
  2. Assortment of stickers from CVS Accessory Sticker sheet from the You Rock collection
  3. Stickers from Fancy Pants Puffy Sticker sheet from the Family & co collection.

I have inked the title using Prima Ink and then given a coating of Dimensional Magic.

I also decide to cut some small squares from the Pink Paislee paper, for some interest at the corners of the design.

Office Cat #2 Hutch, features in "Hello Beautiful Boy"

I started with the KC Paper "Knotted Wood" as the background paper here.

I built up some panels of paper from KC "Scraped", including the paper strip from the bottom of the paper and some CVS "Night Sky" behind the photos.

I also mounted the photos on some Fancy Pants Corrugated Cardstock and Black Cardstock, for some dimension and contrast.

Again, I have used 4 main products as finishing touches in both pages, which you will see in these close ups:
  1. 2 Crafty Arrows and Word title
  2. Assortment of stickers from CVS Accessory Sticker sheet from the You Rock collection
  3. Stickers from Fancy Pants Puffy Sticker sheet from the Family & co collection.

For the chipboard title, I painted it with White Gesso, before embossing with some white glittery embossing powder!

Just Be You with My Minds Eye Hey Mister by Kerryn Fry

Morning All!
It must be Friday :)
Kerryn here to share my latest page.

My page this week features the very masculine and classy collection from
My Minds Eye collection, Hey Mister
Mr 13 is the focus again, photos were taken at the athletics carnival representing his school.
I love the foil touches to this collection.

The background has been put together using only the outer edge of MME Hey Mister - Work It Gold Foil . I have removed the middle of the page to save for another project.
The Kraft cardstock has been decorated using Crafters Workshop stencils, Distress Ink and Brilliance Ink.
Around the edge of the cardstock I have created faux stitching using a needle.

I have used the 2 Crafty Circle Dot Frame to highlight the photo.
The frame has been covered with Distress Paint, I have added some doodling with a gel pen
and cut stars from MME Hey Mister Woof Gold Foil.

The title piece 2 Crafty just be YOU has been inked with Brilliance Ink,
lightly stamped using a Darkroom Door stamp and black ink
and then finished with a coat of Dimensional Magic.

I have used elements from the MME Hey Mister Sticker sheet to create
a cluster below the journalling strips.

Thanks for visiting the All About Scrapbooks Blog today,
I hope you have found my page inspiring.
Happy Crafting!

"Adventure", featuring YOU ROCK collection, by Amanda H

Hello AAS fans and welcome to June!

Today I am sharing my page that I created using the wonderful YOU ROCK collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. And I know it is for "boys", but as a mother of 3 girls, I still wanted to get the collection to play with. The colours are really perfect for any gender in my opinion! And perfect for these school photos.

Here is my page!

I started with the "Experimental" paper from the range as the background, and with a little creative cutting I also was able to matte my two photos on this beautiful blue paper.

I then layered two other papers from the range: Starshine and Night Sky, behind the photo.

I also hand-cut many of the stars from the Starshine paper to use on the page.

I discovered that the 2Crafty Star Circular Frames was a perfect match for this paper collection! I inked it blue and hand-cut the paper to layer behind the starts in the chipboard. It was fiddly, but well worth the effort. As always, I finished the frame with Dimensional magic. You probably notice that I cut the frame so it curved around the left side of the photos.
This larger star was cut from the 2Crafty Star Circular Frame, with more paper layered behind it. We shouldn't be scared to cut our chipboard to fit our page design!

For my title, I used the 2Crafty Individual word - Adventure (Loopy font), also inked blue and finished with Dimensional Magic. I think the word "adventure" is versatile and perfect for the start of the school year as my daughter starts her Year 4 adventure!

The final touches to this page include:
2Crafty stars, inked red, and then finished with Dimensional Magic,
Word stickers from the CV - You Rock Accessory Sticker Sheet, some blue Bella Blvd Puffy Stars, mixed with some staples and blue wire.

I think YOU ROCK is a fabulous collection of papers that can be used with ANYONE! :)

Thanks for looking today!

Magical Memories with Simple Stories & Echo Park by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back with another Disney layout today using both Simple Stories Say Cheese III and Echo Parks Magic & Wonder - they really do go  so well together!

Magical Memories

I love this photo of the kids and I in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle and knew the castle paper - Echo Park Magic and Wonder Magic Castle - would be perfect! I chose a black background and the Magical Memories paper by Simple Stories also gave me an instant title!

This gorgeous chipboard castle had to be the main embellishment on my page, it works so well with the photo and the castle paper, love the dimension the chipboard gives to the page.

I have finished my layout off with an assortment of embellishments from the various collections, including some of the older Simple Stories Say Cheese range.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

'Believe' using Simple Stories Say Cheese lll by Kerryn Fry

Hi Everyone :)
Hope you are keeping warm wherever you might be this morning.
My layout this week features the fun collection Simple Stories Say Cheese 3
and a very cute photo of Master 13 and myself taken back in 2006.
I've had this photo printed for awhile so the fabulous primary colours were perfect.

The black cardstock has been jazzed up using a Crafters Workshop Stencil
and Distress Oxides Ink in varies colours.
Once the ink was dry, I have randomly added Diamond Stickles for a little sparkle.

The 2 Crafty Circular Panel has been base coated with gesso and then inked with
The panel adds dimension to the page by lifting the final layers of patterned paper and the photo.

I have used the Stickles to highlight a few other sections of the page.
The heart as part of the journal block and the word that forms the title 'Believe'
that was fussy cut from the 4x4 Element page.

Thanks for visiting the blog today, have a great weekend.
Hope to see you back next week.

"Happy Birthday", featuring Simple Stories Emoji Love, by Amanda H.

Hello again,

My final page share for May!
I have used the fun and funky Simple Stories - Emoji Love Collection.
Who can't smile and feel happy when working with this collection?!
 Perfect for a birthday page!

Here is my page:

Starting with a base of White and Black Cardstock. I then layered up awesome papers from the collection: The pink hearts from Choose Happy, the Emoji and speech bubbles from I LOL, and the pink strip across the page from 2 Cool.

To the left of the photo, I created this main cluster and feature of the page.

I REALLY love the 4X6 Sticker Packs from Simple Stories - always so many varieties of stickers to use, all in one pack. I used an assortment behind the title, even using the pink alphabet letters to write part of the title.

To create the title, I used a 2Crafty word, which I inked black, and added dimensional magic. As it was drying I added super fine glitter and some super small sequins. It looks kind of blue in these photos, but my daughter said it looked "holographic"!

Also added are some Bella Blvd Puffy Hearts and 2Crafty Chipboard arrows (which also got the black ink and dimensional magic treatment) as well as sequins for some extra sparkle!

Meeting Pluto by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This weeks layout is a double page spread using Echo Park's Magic & Wonder collection. I had lots of photos to choose from to scrap for this layout, it was hard to narrow them down to even a double!

Meeting Pluto

The yellow, red and black colour combo works perfectly with these photos. I chose the yellow as my background paper and then layered several of the other papers, focusing on this colour combo and a touch of pale blue.

I've made a subtitle using this sticker from the Element Sticker Sheet, and mounted it onto black cardstock to make it stand out.

I've used element stickers and enamel dots from the Echo Park Magic and Wonder collection to embellish my page, as well as digging into my Disney stash.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Sisters using Fancy Pants Family & Co by Kerryn

Morning Everyone.
I'm back with my next project today and this time I am sharing something a little different.
This page is actually about me! Oh and my big Sis.
See I do actually exist :)
But bet you can't guess where we were.
This page features the beautiful collection Fancy Pants Designs Family & Co

I had a ball creating the background for this page, a little mixed media.
Using the new Distress Oxide Inks Broken China, Cracked Pistachio and Faded Jeans,
I have swiped each ink onto a craft sheet and spritzed them with water.
Then dabbing the cardstock down onto the puddles of ink, lifting it and
then putting it down again to pick up more colour.
Lacking any creative patience, I have dried off the cardstock with a heat tool
and then flicked more water onto the background.
The excess water was sponged away with paper towel leaving some cool water stains.

I have randomly stamped the background with three different Kaisercraft Texture Stamps

The 2 Crafty title Sisters are attached @ the Heart was cut into two pieces to spread the words
across the page, I have covered it with Distress Paint and then stamped with gold ink.
The edges have been highlighted with Metallic Rub.
The 2 Crafty Doodled Heart was also painted with Distress Paint in three different colours.

Hopefully you have been a little inspired by my page today.
I am loving the new Distress Oxide Inks and will continue to play with them over the next few weeks.
Please drop back to the blog on Monday to see what Fiona has to show you.
Have a fabulous weekend!
