Kaisercraft "Something Blue" - by Linda Eggleton

Good morning everyone & welcome :)

This month I am lucky enough to be creating with yet another gorgeous Kaisercraft range -

the newly released Something Blue Collection

This is a perfect collection for wedding photos - as it was designed & intended.

The diecuts in the collectables pack are amazing, as always....full of little tags, tabs, doilies, hearts, love/wedding verses of all shapes & sizes, and more....all perfect for your wedding pages

& also for wedding cards.

So first up, that's what I have created...a wedding layout of my DH & I on our

wedding day, some 27 years ago!

"Mr & Mrs"

For me, the papers & photos that I'm working with usually determine the style of layout

that I will create with it....and this collection called for a more formal layout with clean straight lines.

I left the background as is for this page, as the paper is utterfly gorgeous and truly shines on its own.

I've clustered a few Green Tara & Kaisercraft flowers with some 2Crafty Indian Feathers

along with a few of the diecuts from the collectables pack.

The 2Crafty feathers have been lightly coated in gesso only.

Keep Calm & Say I do!

I just love that saying & had to use it on this page - it is from the Honeymoon paper

(see links at the bottom of my post)

I've also used a heap of little tabs from the Collectables pack in & around my paper layers.

A little bit of strip journaling with the basics of where/when & to break up all the straight lines I've punched a border strip in black from the reverse side of the Honeymoon paper.

More journaling is on the back of the layout.

And here is an overall view of the main area of the page - My gosh, we look so young!

Next up I've created a non-wedding page with the same collection.

"You & Me"

(based on the June sketch at Life.Paper.Scrapbook)

Again, lots of clean straight lines for this one....but I have added some subtle background work with some splashes of glimmermist here & there. (the textured background work is a bit hard to see)

This is one of the titles from the collectables pack that I've put onto foam tape to

give it some dimension on the page.

And a few more pieces from the collectables pack...a group of hearts that I've layered with foam tape & also the "extra special" banner. And my usual strip journaling :)

I've tucked a few of the diecut tags at the side of my photo & a little tab at the top,

all from the collectables pack. Pic is of my Dad & I having a night out for my last birthday :)

Kaisercraft, Green Tara & Petaloo flowers, collectables diecuts, a Flutterby flair & some diecut leaves using my cuttlebug.

The background work is rather soft on the page, so it's a bit hard to see....hopefully you can get an idea of it here in this close up. I mixed some gelato shavings in with my modelling paste & after working out where my papers were going to go, I randomly spread the modelling paste over the Teresa Collins stencil & finished it off with some splashes of glimmermist.

I love the colours on this page...that tan colour just seems to really lift

everything on the page perfectly <3

My Minds Eye Market Street "Nob Hill" - by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone Well it is certainly starting to feel like winter here, perfect weather for scrapping! This week I am playing with the stunning Market Street Nob Hill collection by My Minds Eye. I've gone with a mixed media background on some smooth white cardstock to create todays layout: Be Happy

For my background I have used a mix of Dylusions and Color Shine sprays and then added some masking with texture paste and inks.
Here is a close up that shows some of the background details, including my title that has been created using the Teresa Collins mask and Color Shine spray, which I have dabbed on with a sponge finger dauber.

The 2Crafty chipboard chevron bits have been inked then given a spray of Goosebumps Texture spray in shimmer, love the finish.

A close-up of the cluster of embellishments that are all part of the range, the big badge from the Flair Pins pack and the lovely mix of ephemera are all in the mixed bag set.

I've finished off the page with some enamel dots from the collection, these

are in a great mix of sizes and colours!!

Jillibean Soup "Birthday Bisque" - by Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone....and welcome to a new month. Wow, how scary is it that it's June already!! A new month means new goodies to play with.....yay. This month I will be playing with the bright, fun Jillibean Soup - Birthday Bisque collection along with some other co-ordinating Jillibean Soup goodies :) My first layout for the month is based on the June sketch at Scrap365 "Twenty One"

How cool are all those fabulous colours & patterns together?! I absolutely love them :)

I've added some stencilling work on the plain "Bite Size Bits" background paper using some red ink and also added a few splashes of Dylusions ink spray.

I've created a small cluster of Jillibean Soup Wood Nickels & Wood Sprinkles, along with some Green Tara & Kaisercraft blooms....plus a 2Crafty Light Bulb that I've inked in black.

And you can also see some scrap pieces of Jillibean Soup Lattice placemat

running along my strips of paper.

A few more Nickels & Sprinkles...plus a close up of the stencilling work with ink.

So that the Mini Placemat would show at the top & bottom of the photo, I cut it into 2 pieces & arranged it in behind the photo & have lightly sprayed it with Trunk Bay glimmermist then mounted it onto some black cardstock to help the cutout shapes to stand out. I've also used a scattering of stars - some from the Jillibean Soup sticker sheet & others are Studio Calico cork stars....I have outlined each one in a black journaling pen to help give them more definition on the page.

The papers I simply cut into different widths & lengths & slightly overlapped them when arranging on the page. I then stamped some stiching onto each piece to give it a bit more interest.

Kaisercraft Dream Big by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone Winter is here, though we have been so fortunate with the weather here, haven't really even had an autumn!! Still feels like summer. As usual, with the start of a new month, I've got lots of new goodies to play with. This week I am creating with Kaisercrafts Dream Big collection. This is definitely my favourite of their collections to date. So easy to work with!! Today I have two layouts to share with you. First up, Life is a Beautiful Ride. For this layout, apart from the white doily, everything else is from the Dream Big Collection:

Another view, this one showing my title, Life is a Beautiful Ride - which was one of the bottom strips along the paper.

All of these embellishments can be found in the Collectibles pack - doilies, butterflies, and journaling spots:

Also included, banners, bingo cards, scallops - there really is so many embellishments in these packets!

My second share for today is Pamper Party:

I've taken advantage of the gorgeous embellishments from the collectibles pack again:

but also added a little more, some gorgeous Green Tara flowers. The peach one was originally white, I have just given it a spray with some Colorshine to change the colour to match my page. Also some new 2Crafty and a cute little October Afternoon heart.

Once again I have used those little strips at the bottom of the papers, and layered them at the bottom of my page, along with my title.

Last layouts with Storyteller & The Pier - By Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone...welcome & happy Friday to you all :) Today I am back to share 2 more layout's that I've created for my May DT work First up is this layout using Kaisercraft Storyteller collection <3 "Anchor of the Marie Gabrielle" My layout is based on the Kaisercraft #2 May sketch

I've used one of the plainer papers for my background (Feature), and added some background work.

I first did some stencilling using a Heidi Swapp chevron stencil & modelling paste...and then added some stamping over the top using Kaisercraft's Hexagon stamp & some Prima chalk ink.

I've also created a bit of a border around the outer edge using the orange side of the Myth paper.

All edges have been distressed with the blade of my scissors & then inked

to give a rustic feel to the page.

A small cluster consisting of diecuts from the Collectables pack, Kaisercraft blooms

& a 2Crafty butterfly.

I've added some strip journaling between the two photos & my title at the bottom.

Another small cluster on the side of the page - again with layered diecuts & blooms, plus there's a super old Kaisercraft brad from my stash.

Here you can see some of the stencil & stamping work a bit better....with one of the diecuts cut in half & both pieces poking out from the top of the paper layers.

And here is an overall view.

Marie Gabrielle shipwreck.

My 2nd layout is using Crate Paper The Pier collection I know I have said it so many times, but yep, this one is oh.so.versatile. I've done another carnival/fun park themed page for this one. "Beach House Ferrish Wheel" Based on the May sketch at Grand Diva's

I've used the Ferris Wheel paper (how appropriate...lol) for my background & I just love it's bold red chevrons, so again, no background work for this one.

A small cluster of flowers (of course!), brad & a few little hearts.

The yellow flower was actually white, and I've coloured it by lightly inking around the edges, then using a wet brush I blended the colour to give it a more natural look. The little cork heart is from Studio Calico & available in store - they are so cute!

I've layered a mix of papers & stickers under my photos & hand cut some little banners from the Splash paper.

More stickers that I've layered and are poking out at the top of my paper layers.

The little veneer camera by Studio Calico is simply inked straight onto the bare veneer - quick & easy! The brown alpha stickers are from Studio Calico too...just love the woodgrain finish on them!

Here is a couple of 2Crafty chevrons (yep, I still have some of these left after using them on so many of my pages over the past few months - so they are really great value!) The chevrons have been coloured with gelatos & ink. Another fab piece cut from the Splash pp - A Ferris wheel ticket :)

Pics were taken by my DD on a trip last year down to Adelaide...the Beach House Ferris Wheel at Glenelg. They are both the same photo, I have just altered one by mirroring it in an editing program...and I love how it has created a heart shape when the photos were put together <3

More Basic Grey Mon Ami - by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
My final share for this month, using some more of the delighful Basic Grey Mon Ami collection. This time I have gone grungy and created a boy page using predominantly the red, greys and yellows from this range.
I have created my background using a mix of gesso, masking and stamping for my layout, Hello Mr Cool and have used the May 1 sketch over at Stuck sketches for inspiration.

Another view showing the gesso, which I applied thinly so it is more grey than white. Then I have used a crafters workshop mask and inked over it in black in the top left and bottom right. I have then added some stamoing with the grid stamp in black ink and the triangles stamp in red.

I've used some chipboard embellishments which are always fabulous on boy pages - the hello word bubble and gears by 2Crafty and a wood veneer shape by Crate Paper.

Of course I have managed to stick a flair in there too! You can see some more detail where I have continued the stamping after the papers have been put down.

I've even added a little bit of journaling (that's not hidden!!).

Crate Paper "The Pier" - By Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone :)

I am back today to share some more creations using the gorgeous

"The Pier" collection from Crate Paper.

I have been pleasantly surprised at the variety of layout's I've been able to create with this collection, which just goes to show how super versatile it is.

First up is a layout based on the 15th May Stuck sketch.

"Cluck Cluck"

Don't you just love that Sunshine background paper?!? I know I do...to me, it is like a painting and is just gorgeous. I thought it would be perfect showcased as the base for my page. I've stitched a border around the edges with red cotton, and also mounted it onto the Shoreline paper (which is kraft based, but with colour) creating a small border around the outer edge. The scalloped strips at the top of the page are from the throw away stip that I hand cut.

I've layered a variety of papers & stickers in under the photos and have inked all the edges in red to help give them a bit of definition against the busy background.

The little tags are hand cut from the Splash PP.

A little cluster of Petaloo & Green Tara flowers...2Crafty butterfly &

some words cut from the Splash PP...and the little scalloped doily is cut from the Cotton Candy paper

And here is an overall view of the main area of the page.

Pics are of my daughter who was slightly clucky at getting to hold her 2nd cousin for the first time.

Next up, again using The Pier collection and based on Sketchabilities sketch #115

"KSMS Buskers"

This is another paper that I just had to use for a background - I seem to do that, use my favourite papers as my base! I just love those numbers & the colours! I've included a little bit of stamping on the background using Kaisercraft Chevron stamp & used some

torn & inked strips down the edges of the page.

Again, a little cluster of Petaloo & Green Tara flowers with one of the stickers, some punched leaves & a few brads from my stash.

Title is using Studio Calico alpha stickers & some AC Thickers from my stash....with some journaling strips to include the basics with more journaling is on the back of the page.

I've cut some more tags out from the Splash paper, and the other pieces to the right were also hand cut to look like frames to tie in with the sketch.

All the pieces that are layered in under the photos are literally little scrap pieces from a variety of the papers that I had left...I think this is becoming my favourite way to scrap - with scraps!! lol

Pics are from a trip to Melbourne a few years ago with work colleagues who jumped in with this busker along the Yarra & drew quite an audience & had a good old time :)
