Enjoy Every Moment
using Doodlebug I {heart} Travel
by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all,

Here is another travel page to share today.
This one features the new travel collection from Doodlebug Designs: I Heart Travel.

I combined this collection with a watery mixed media background.

To create the mixed media background, I first painted the entire white cardstock with white gesso - this seals the page so the colours sit on top and can be moved around, rather than soak in quickly. I sprinkled some Colour Blast Shimmer Dusts In Peacock, Paris and Duke, and added water. I used the heat gun to dry it and more water to spread the colour where I wanted on the page.

I used strips of the Doodlebug Papers: Love this; Picture this at the top and bottom of the page and to mount the photo.

I embellished the page with stickers...  Picture Perfect: Sprinkle stickers and 12x12 This and that Sticker Sheet.

A longer sticker along the bottom of the photo, and smaller ones in clusters.

You can also see the water colour background in these close ups.

I continued more stickers at the top and bottoms of the page as well!

What a fun and bright range!

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

So Fun & Such an Amazing Day with Bella Blvd Let's go on an Adventure by Fiona Johnstone

Hey everyone

A couple of travel pages with the fun and bright Let's Go on an Adventure collection from Bella Blvd. First up

So Fun

I've added some texture paste trough a stencil for my background to create a bubble effect to mimic the whitewater. Next I have haphazardly layered some complimentary patterned papers to create some movement to my page.
I've used icons from the Ephemera pack in the collection to embellish my layout, adding some wood veneer shapes and some journaling stickers to finish it off.
Close ups of the texture and embellishments.

And my second page:

Such an Amazing Day

For this layout I have used a neutral base paper as I had a lot of photos to fit on to the page of our trip up the mount to Skyline Rotorua. A fun day out I wanted to include multiple photos to capture the day. To enable me to use multiple photos I have used a simple design of paper strips running down the page in co-ordinating colours.
next I have added my photos in a linear pattern, before adding embellishments from the ephemera pack and a few pieces from some other travel collections - particularly Pinkfresh Studio Out and About.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Pretty as a Picture using Simple Stories Heart by Kerryn Fry

Good morning all.
This week I've created my second page with the beautiful collection
Simple Stories Heart
This gorgeous photo of my niece matched the colours perfectly
and she looks super cute with her little pout.

The background effect has been created in layers on the white cardstock base.
I've started with the clear packaging and spritzed with water effect.
First Scattered Straw Distress Oxide, let it dry
and then added touches of Fossilized Amber over the top.
The next layer is using Fossilized Amber applied through
Then using Evergreen Bough, I have randomly added flowers
with the daisy stencil from the same collection.
The final layer is splatters of watered down Evergreen Bough Distress Paint

I have used black cardstock as a base for the photo,
then added smaller pieces of patterned paper in layers under the photo.
Some 2x2 pieces have been lifted with foam tape.
The photo has also been mounted with foam tape for added dimension.

There are multiple 2 Crafty pieces added to the layout.
The 2 Crafty Twiggy Branch has been cut into smaller pieces
and covered with Evergreen Bough Distress Paint.
For a little detail, I have added a centre line to each leaf
with light tough of Picket Fence.
The rainbow is from the 2 Crafty Weather Bits pack,
I've hand painted it with Distress Paints
and added Dimensional Magic just to the clouds.

The 2 Crafty Flowers have been painted with Distress Paints,
using Evergreen Bough, Scattered Straw and Picket Fence.
Once dry, they have been stamped using Kaisercraft Tiny Dots
and finished with a layer of Dimensional Magic.
The centres of the flowers have been cut from patterned paper.
I have used embellishments from the Chipboard and Cardstock sheets.
Adding the small chipboard hearts and flower sprays
and then the banner, words and tab stickers.

The small polaroid frame is from the 2 Crafty Assorted Polaroid Frames.
It has been painted with Hickory Smoke Distress Paint,
then I've backed it with patterned paper
and sealed with Dimensional Magic.
The 2 Crafty title Pretty as a Picture was covered with swipes of Hickory Smoke
and then finished with a coat of Dimensional Magic.

I had lots of fun creating this page,
always enjoy getting a little messy.
Thanks for visiting the blog today,
and I hope you have enjoyed the process.
Have a fabulous weekend
and please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.

Make Today Count
using Celebr8 Photobook
by Amanda Hartmann

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing a page I created using the Paper Pack from Celebr8 - Photobooth Sketch Pack. Great colours and so many cool elements you can cut out and use on your pages.

For this page I started with two sheets of paper from the pack - the neutral for the base with the blue as the next layer. This blue paper had really interesting elements of tickets and tags in the bottom right corner, so i decided to build my photo stack and embellishments amongst it.

I went to town fussy cutting elements from the cut-apart sheets in the pack. I cut tags, labels, cameras, words, flowers and tickets. These are layered on the page to add interest.

Please check out some close ups for the details:

Tucked in this side of the cluster is a piece of  2 Crafty Heart Clump - inked navy blue and coated with dimensional magic. You can see it layered amongst the cut out pieces I made.

I also but one heart from the 2 Crafty Heart Clumps (which would have been hidden anyway), and included it in the small top left cluster. This adds some balance to the page, as it is combined with the title label and more cut outs.

You can also see here some splatters - I used Colour Blast Fire Engine Colour Shimmer spray for this.

On the other side of the photos, amongst the cut outs, I included a 2 Crafty Beaded Hanging Heart - also inked navy blue and coated with dimensional magic.

This photo and now page, does capture the perfect moment of meeting with work colleagues in Amsterdam. These papers are versatile and I already have more pages planned with the collection.

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Shine Bright with Cocoa Vanilla Studio Unforgettable by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back with another CVS Unforgettable layout, nice clean page, embellished with all the pretties in the collection.

Shine Bright

Love the words paper (Pretty Bits) as a background to then add some of the brighter colours. Love the big floral print on the Glorious patterned paper and used this as a large rectangle so that pretty design can be seen! I've used a few other patterned papers to layer my photo, a cute stripey banner and some paper strips to tie the page together.

Again I have used lots of yummy embellishments - ephemera, stickers, enamel dots and flair to add detail to my layout before finishing it off with the amazing Foam Title Stickers - love the font and the black ensures it pops right off that busy floral.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Just the 3 of Us using Simple Stories Heart by Kerryn Fry

Hi Everyone!
Today's page has been created using the gorgeous collection,
Simple Stories Heart.
Beautiful colours and patterns!
The photo is a rare gem taken by my Mum.
A fabulous family day spent travelling via train to Victor Harbor.
The 3 of us together!

My normal start, a Kraft cardstock base with some background work.
Using Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide, gold and white ink,
I have stamped in layers around the page.
I've used three different Kaisercraft Textured Stamps,

I've hand cut a few floral elements from the papers
The flowers have been mounted on foam tape for dimension
and placed in 3 different spots on the page.

I have also used the paper 2x2 Elements to hand cut
the journal spot and words.
Some more flowers added to the clusters from the Sticker Sheet.

At the top of the photo, I've used another 2x2 Element,
the hand cut flowers and added a touch of Diamond Stickles.

The 2 Crafty title Just the 3 of Us has been covered with Gold Ink.
I have used foam tape to add it to the page to give it some extra depth.
The Black cardstock was the perfect pop for the page,
I have used a border punch to added a strip to the page.
That's my page for this week.
A simple design, with some depth and sparkle.
Thank you for visiting the blog today,
hopefully you have enjoyed the process.
Enjoy your weekend, a long one for some.
Please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next page.

love, adore, cherish by Amanda Hartmann

Hi everyone,
Here is my first page share for October... the year is flying by!
Today I used the sweet florals and colours of the Prima Apricot Honey collection.
They were a great match to this photo of my sister and I in Croatia.

I matched some pink and kraft cardstock to the prima papers to use as the base and as mounting behind the photo.

Then I layered two main sheets of paper to create the page: Apricot Honey as the neutral panel and Sweet Apricots as the floral panel.

I finished with flowers, fussy cut elements and 2Crafty chipboard.

I fussy cut some of the flowers from the Sweet Apricots paper and used them in this main cluster.
I also fussy cut butterflies from the All Together paper.

I added some of the flowers from the Lovely Peaches pack to each cluster.

I used three words from the 2Crafty Mini words set 2 in each cluster also. I inked them
in a golden brown to match.

Also in the larger cluster I used a 2Crafty flourish, which I had heat embossed in copper.
This matches the copper foil finishes in the papers.

A flower and a fussy cut butterfly with a chipboard word in each of the smaller clusters.

I do love the florals and coppers that work so nicely with this photo amongst the old buildings!
Thanks for looking,
Amanda
