Fun in the Sun with Cocoa Vanilla Studio Sunkissed by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Today I have another layout to share with the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Sunkissed collection:

Fun in the Sun

For this layout I have created a background using Distress Oxide Inks and a Vicki Boutin Stencil before adding some paper layers to the top and then embellishing with elements from the Sunkissed Collection.

I've layered oxide inks in squeezed lemonade, twisted citron and peacock feathers through the stencil, blending the colours together where they join.

A few torn paper layers and then I have hit the embellishments - as always Cocoa Vanilla have everything you need - floral ephemera, stickers and these super cute wooden epoxy buttons.

Love the gold foam glitter stickers - perfect titles every tme!

Totally Smitten using Echo Park Paper Co Welcome Baby Boy by Kerryn Fry

Hello again!
Today I am sharing the first page that I've created
using the very cute collection
Echo Park Paper Co Welcome Baby Boy.
Another collection I have been drawn to for the colour palette
instead of the theme of the papers.
The photo was taken in 2011,
Mr H with one of his cousin.

The base cardstock is Bazzill Kraft, no surprise!
The background effect is a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil
and Cracking Campfire Distress Oxide Ink.
I've added ink on the outer aspects of the cardstock
and then highlighted the edges with a blending tool.

The 2 Crafty Rainbow was given a base coat of white gesso,
then I've hand-painted the rainbow with Distress Paint.
The clouds were given a few layers of white paint
and then finished with a swipe of White Brilliance Ink.
I have used a white gel pen to add the fake stitch lines
and add stickers from the Element Sticker Sheet with foam tape.

I've used multiple stickers from the Element Sticker Sheet
at the top of the page and lifted them with foam tape for dimension.
I cut out two of the tags from Boy Tags
and added them to the top of the photo.
The photo has two layers as a mat,

I've used more of the Raven cardstock with a border bunch
to creat a strip across the page under the photo.
The 2 Crafty Chevron Bits have been covered with
Black Ink and backed with Little One Leaves.

The 'You & Me' square was hand cut from Milestone Journaling Cards,
I've outlined the square with a black gel pen
and then outlined the heart with a white pen.
The square has been added to the page with foam tape.
The 2 Crafty Foliage was painted with
Rustic Wilderness Distress Paint
and outlined with white gel pen.

was covered with Hickory Smoke Distress Paint.
Once dry, I've outlined the letters using a white pen
to create a fake stitch line.
The title and foliage have been lifted with foam tape.
I've decorated around the title with more stickers

I love how this page turned out.
The stitched lines on the reverse side of Milestone Journaling cards
was a perfect accent to carry across the page.
Thank you for visiting the blog today.
I hope you have enjoyed the steps.
Have a happy, crafty weekend
and please join us again on Monday
for Fiona's next page.

Wild at Heart with Echo Park by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have a layout to share created with a mix of papers from Echo Park & MME base paper to create this weeks page. I just love this photo I took recently at Mogo Zoo.

Wild at Heart

I chose the papers based on this adorable Giraffe pair from the Echo Park collection Welcome Baby Boy Collection. I teamed it up with the cute Little One Leaves paper from the range, but then needed some extra green so started my search in another Echo Park Collection (Little Dreamer Boy) usually these will tie in with other collections easily.

I chose this older but cool MME background paper - I wanted a Kraft background and this with the woodgrain pattern was perfect! Next I have used my central piece as a strip and added torn paper strips to the sides. I have centred my matted photo so that you can see the Giraffes on the main paper too.

To embellish my page I have created some cute floral clusters with some stickers and tags to finish off. My title is by 2Crafty and perfect for the photo, I have inked it in Red, drawing colours from the papers and to make it stand out on the page.

Explore & Discover using Simple Stories Say Cheese Main Street by Kerryn Fry

Morning everyone!
Today I am sharing my second page created with the collection,
Simple Stories Say Cheese Main Street.
A six year old Mr H, hanging in his sand pit.
What could be more fun than sand plus water.
Photos taken in 2010.

The page started with Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.
The background has been coloured with
Candied Apple Distress Ink
Randomly added to appear around the photo.

A few torn layers of patterned paper at the top of the page
to create a sky using Full of Smiles and Magical
and then some clouds hand cut from Dream Come True paper.
I've used foam tape to lift a few of the clouds to create a little dimension.

The 2 Crafty Sun has been covered with
different colours of Distress Paint.
Wild Honey, Kitsch Flamingo and Picket Fence
to coordinate with the papers.

The Journal Bits were great to embellish the page.
The words and ticket at the top of the photos,
I've used foam tape on the words.
Using a black pen, I've added some fake stitching
to the banner pieces either side of the photos.
The photos have been layered on Raven Cardstock
to pop against the light blue of Happy Magic Memories paper.

The 2 Crafty Star has been covered with Magical paper
and then the cluster has been built with Journal Bits.
The title is a mix of alpha stickers, handwriting
The title has been covered with black ink.

And that's a wrap for the week.
Thank you for visiting the blog today.

Play all Day with Cocoa Vanilla Studio Sunkissed collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello

Another page to share today with the fun and sunny Sunkissed Collection by
Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Play all Day

I've had these photos for a while, lots of colours so hard to match until I saw this awesome rainbow paper! Perfect 💓🌈

I originally had 3 photos in this sequence but I decided to cut it down to two so you could see more rainbow. I tied the photos in with some pink and a plainer green from the collection.  Then I matted it against the clouds paper to create a scene.

I used a 2crafty cloud, painted white behind my cluster and added the cute fun in the sun sticker and some of the floral ephemera, finishing with an epoxy button - love these!

I've added some black alphas from my stash to make it pop off the rainbow background and finished with some more flowers and stickers, some journaling and then completing the page with some clear stickers.

Till next week

Love This Life using Simple Stories Quarantined by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone!
Today I'm sharing the second page I have created
with the collection, Simple Stories Quarantined.
Again, I've used this range for the colours
and the patterns, not for the theme.
The patterned papers have a least one non-themed side,
which worked really well for the page.
The photo is my Mum with a very young Great-Grand Daughter,
my Great-Niece, taken in December 2011.

The page started with a 12x12 Bazzill Kraft Cardstock base.
I've added colour to the base using Abandoned Coral Distress Ink
and a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil.
Then using a gold pen, I have added random centres to the pattern.

The gold pen was also used to add some fake stitching
across the top and bottom of the patterned papers.
The rainbow sticker is from the Element Sticker Sheet,
I've used foam tape to lift it on the page.

The photo has been added to Raven Cardstock
as the first layer, I've used some cardboard to lift the photo.
The journal card has been cut from Virtual Life
and the Family Life sticker from the Element Sticker Sheet.
The patterned paper layers and colours have been added under the photo.

The 2 Crafty Filmstrip has been covered with
Black Soot Distress Paint.
I've used more stickers to decorate the space around the filmstrip.
Each element has been lifted with foam tape.

covered with Black Soot Distress Paint.
Once the paint was dry, I have added fake stitching
on the letters with the gold pen.
More foam tape used to lift the title.

Thanks for popping in to the Blog today,
I hope you have been inspired to get creative this weekend.
Please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next page.

Happy Memories with Cocoa Vanilla Studio Sunkisssed Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have been playing with the super, bright, happy and fun summer collection, Sunkissed by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Happy Memories

Love these bright happy colours, particularly the floral paper which I used as my starting point for the layout, before adding in some of the other beachy colours for my layout. I have added some torn papers for extra texture.

After I had the papers sorted I added my background onto white cardstock. The pinks in the paper match perfectly with the new Tim Holtz colour Kitsch Flamingo - love it! I've used the oxide ink and a Vicki Boutin stencil from the Storyteller collection.

As usual CVS has lots of embellishments, I have chosen the floral ephemera pack to make some pretty clusters with the cute wooden epoxy buttons for the final touch. The cardstock stickers always have some perfect words to add a touch of journaling.

My title is with the funky gold glitter stickers from the collection - awesome, love them!
And the cute little gold hearts from the pack are super fun too.

Delight in Every Moment
using Simple Stories Say Cheese Main Street
by Kerryn Fry

Morning everyone!
I have finally jumped into this gorgeous collection.
Love the touch of pink in this range,
makes it so versatile to use.
My first layout is favouring the pink,
photos of my beautiful great-niece
at her 1st birthday party.

The page has started with a 12x12 Bazzill Kraft cardstock base.
Then using a Kaisercraft Mini Designer Template and Black Soot Distress Ink,
I have added some floral pattern to the background.
With a gold gen pen, I have highlighted the black template lines.

At the top of the page, I've hand cut clouds from Dreams Comes True
and added them to the page with foam tape.
The 2 Crafty Sun has been covered with Full of Smiles
and a circle journal spot from the Journal Bits,
The words used are also from Journal Bits

A second journal spot has been added to the page
next to the sun and amongst the clouds.
Some of the papers used and the journal spots
have been outlined with a black pen to highlight random
parts of the page.
I've used Raven Cardstock to pop the black in the pattern papers,
the photos have been layered on the cardstock
and I have created a tab, chevrons and strip.

The 2 Crafty Floral Branch has been cut
into smaller pieces to use around the photos.
The branch has been covered with Black Soot Distress Paint,
the blossoms have been covered with
Kitcsh Flamingo Distress Paint.
Once dry, the flower centres have been highlighted with gold pen
and then covered with Dimensional Magic

have been covered with gold ink.

I've used another journal spot at the base of the page,
added to the page with foam tape and decorated
with a camera hand cut from 2x2 Elements paper
and words from the Journal Bits.

The 2 Crafty title Delight in Every Moment
has been covered with gold ink
and added to the bottom of the page.

Thank you for visiting the blog today,
I hope you've enjoyed the steps to create the page.
Have a lovely weekend.
