Just Be You using Carta Bella Believe In Magic by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone!
My page today has been created with
The B&W photos of Mr H were taken
almost 17 years ago at his friend's birthday party.
I sometimes forget how small he was
and he was such a cutie! Still is.
He was happily playing with a large bulldozer,
fascinated with all the moving parts.

The base is a 12x12 sheet
I've layered the patterned papers and
alternated the colours and patterns.

I've used a black gel pen to outline
the main patterned paper top & bottom edges
and outline the yellow stars paper for a little pop.

The top right corner of the page
has been embellished with stickers
from the Element Sticker sheet and foam tape.

At the bottom left corner of the photos,
I have created an embellishment cluster using
a combination of Carta Bella Believe in Magic elements

The journal card was cut from 4x4 Journaling Cards paper.
I've added the journal card to Bazzill Raven Cardstock
to clearly define the edges of the card
and lifted it with foam tape.

The 'Fun' sticker and small stars
are all from the Element Sticker Sheet
and have been lifted with foam tape.

The words 'One Cook Kid' are
cut from the Play All Day Collection.
I've backed each word with cardstock
and lifted each word with foam.

The vehicles and tag are from the
The smaller word stickers are

The word 'Awesome' is from the
I've covered it with black ink
and added it to the vehicle sticker.

The 2 Crafty title Just Be You
has been covered black ink
and lifted with foam tape.

I've used a white gel pen to lightly
outline the word 'You' in the title.

A fun page, capturing some
beautiful memories.

Thank you for visiting the blog today,
I hope the page has inspired you.

Little Wild Flower with Simple Stories Boho Baby by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

I have another page to share with the stunning Simple Stories Boho collection, loving the earthy colours:

Little Wild Flower

I based this layout design on the tag and cute photos. I've used the darker paper as a large piece to match the brown of the tag, then I have added softer pinks to the page and some contrast with the stripey paper.

I added a little stamping to the back to bring in a little more yellow to my page with some distress ink and a VB stencil.

Embellishments used are the sticker book and the rainbow bits, so cute! I've also added a cute puffy fabric heart from CVS.

I love the little tags from the Tags paper - super cute and perfect for my title and adding a little tag to tuck underneath.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Cheeky Grin using Echo Park Play All Day by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
Today I'm sharing another page created with
The photo of Mr H was taken while
we were holidaying in Brisbane back in 2010.
A fun day spent at the Queensland Museum.

The page started from a clean
The patterned papers have covered
most of the base, with To The Rescue
being the main paper on the page.
The blue star side matched the photo perfectly.

I've used both black and gold pens to add
different details to the patterned papers.

The gold pen has been ruled at the top and
bottom edges of the To The Rescue paper.
It has also been used to add dots
to the scalloped border and a fake
stitched line around the 6x4 journal card.

The small embellishment cluster
at the top left of the page has been built
The stars and dinosaur have been
lifted with foam tape.

The cluster to the left of the photo is a
2x2 journal card from the 6x4 Journal Cards paper.
I've mounted the photo and the
2x2 journal card on Bazzill Raven Cardstock.
More stars, a dinosaur and words
are all from the Sticker Sheet.

I've added fake stitch borders, with a black pen,
around a few of the patterned paper layers.

To the right of the photo is an another
small embellishment cluster built with
more stars, dinosaur and words.

At the base of the page is a quote
from the Sticker Sheet added to
Black Cardstock for a bit of pop
and it has been lifted with foam tape.

has been covered with gold ink
and then added to the page vertically
along the right edge of the photo.

A simple page, with an older photo.
I love the end result.

Thank you for visiting the blog today
I hope you have enjoyed the page.
Have a lovely weekend
and join us again on Monday.

It's all Good with Simple Stories Simply Vintage Indigo Garden by Fiona Johnstone

Hello Everyone!

This week I am back with another Simple Stories collection - Simply Vintage Indigo Garden. This is a really pretty collection with blues, yellows, greens and pinks. Lots of florals and butterflies!

It's All Good

For this page I have focused on the greens and yellows in the collection and added a hint of the navy blue. I started with a white background and have used the plastic bag technique to  create my background, then once dry I used a Vicki Boutin stencil and added some leaves to the background and some sploshes.

Next I added some torn paper layers - I adore this green floral paper! I cut the top large yellow butterfly from the reverse side of this paper.

Lots of torn layers and then embellishment time! I have the ephemera pack for this collection and it has so many bits and pieces - gorgeous flowers and tags:

I love the cute butterflies and the ephemera pack also has little word phrases and titles which I have used here:

More butterflies and hearts, then I finished off my page with some old kaisercraft flowers - these were the perfect colour and finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Discover, Explore using Simple Stories Boho Baby by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone!
Today I am sharing my second creation using
the Simple Stories Boho Baby collection.
The photos are from the archives,
of a very young Mr H taken on
weekend away at Victor Harbor,
way back in March 2006.

The base of the page is a very clean
I've let the gorgeous colours in this range
be the centre piece of the layout.

Starting in the top right corner,
I've used some strips of patterned paper
to create some interest across the top edge.
To decorate the paper layers, I've used
stickers from the 12x12 Sticker Sheet,
raising the elements with foam tape.

I've used a combination of patterned papers
layered under the photos with the
Tiny Miracles being the main paper .
The large border sticker from the Sticker Sheet
was the perfect addition to the top of the papers.

The Ranger Stickles Glitter Glue added
beautiful glittery highlights to the rainbows & stars.

been covered with Distress Paint.
The clouds were covered with Picket Fence first
and then the edges have been outlined with Stickles.

The Sun was covered with Fossilized Amber
and the swiped with Gold Ink for highlights.
all elements have been lifted with foam tape.

The journal card was cut from the
Journal Elements and raised with foam tape.
I've used a white gel pen to outline
the journal space with a fake stitch border.

The journal card has been decorated with
a sticker from the Sticker Sheet
The camera has been covered
with a mixture of Distress Paints,
Gathered Twig and Rusty Hinge.

I've created an embellishment cluster
just below the journal card using
Rainbow stickers and words.

The arches have been highlighted with Stickles
and each element lifted with foam tape.

The photos have been placed on
clear lines and pop them above the patterned papers

I've added some stickers to the left
side of the papers and then used
a black gel pen to outline the bottom
edge of the papers.

The title of the page has been created

Both have been covered with white gesso
as a solid base coat and then covered
with Stickles Glitter Glue
for a sparkly finish.

Thank you for visiting the blog,
I hope you have enjoyed the process.
Enjoy the nice long weekend,
make some time to create
and join us again on Monday

Adore with Simple Stories Boho Baby by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back today with what could be the cutest baby range I have seen in a while!
Loving the Boho feel and colours of this collection.

Adore

Layers, tags and tearing feature in my layout today - I really wanted to continue the boho feel of the papers into my design for this gorgeous photo of my great niece when she was born!

I started with a simple stencilled background using a Vicki Boutin stencil. I have used Distress Oxide in Spun Sugar for the soft pink, just onto regular KC cardstock.  I love how the lines of the stencil flow with the check paper I have used as my background frame:

I've used the Sticker Book for all it's marvellous shapes, words and titles to embellish lots of pages! I also have the super cute rainbow ephemera pack from which I have used the hearts and flower below:

I've cut tags from the paper and tucked those under my photo, added some twine and then tucked a piece of doily under the side of my photo before finishing off with some words from the sticker sheet and then my title with these adorable soft blush coloured thickers and some little stamped hearts.

Embrace Today using Echo Park Paper Play All Day Boy by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
Today's page has been created with
Echo Park Paper Play All Day Boy collection.
The photo of Mr H was taken at school
during the Remembrance Day Ceremony in 2011.
Such a beautiful moment for the students
to learn about the importance of this day.

The base of the layout is a 12x12 sheet
I used a 6x6 stencil from my collection
and three Distress Oxide Inks
to create the background effect.
The colours are Candied Apple,
Crackling Campfire and Wild Honey.

I've used a black gel pen to outline
the main patterned paper Construction Zone.
I have punched some border strips
from the paper To The Rescue to pop
the blue in the photo.

The word sticker is from the
Cocoa Vanilla Daydream stickers.
I've lifted the sticker with foam tape.

The photo has been lifted with scrap cardboard
and then layered on Bazzill Raven Cardstock
and one of the 6x4 Journaling Cards.

The 2 Crafty Stars have been covered
with Wild Honey Distress Paint.
Once dry, I've outlined the stars
with a black gel pen.

The words 'You are amazing' and small stars
are all stickers from the 12x12 Element Sticker Sheet
The words were then added to a strip of patterned paper.

The reverse side of 4x4 Journaling Card
has been used to the left of the photo.
For some added interest and dimension,
I've hand cut some of the words
from the same patterned paper
and lifted the with foam tape.

The 4x4 'Be Kind Journal card to the left of the photo
has been layered on Raven Cardstock
and then another 'red spot' 4x4 Journal Card.

The border removed from the 4x4 'Be Kind' Journal card
was used as strips on either side of the photo.
I've used a black pen to added fake stitch line
to each strip.

covered with Candied Apple Distress Paint
and then added to the base of the photo.
