You Inspire Me
with Bella Blvd Let's Go on an Adventure
by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Loving the bright, fun colours in the Bella Blvd Let's Go on an Adventure. Eventhough it was created with an outdoorsy /camping vibe, the range is certainly suitable for any images with it's bright & colourful B sides.

You Inspire Me
As my photo is quite neutral in colour I decided to go with some bright and funky papers and this collection was perfect. I've layered the papers on to white cardstock to make them stand out and added a black border for that added pop.
I've added some flower clusters to embellish my layout, drawing the colour inspiration from the floral patterned paper - Wildflowers. I've used these fab foam alphas from Jillibean soup to create a large title for my layout and finished with some enamel dots to add a little more colour.
I've even added some visible journaling to this page! Don't love my handwriting and usually like to keep it hidden but occasionally you will see some!
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

My Sunshine using Simple Stories Simple Vinatge Traveler by Kerryn Fry

Happy Friday Everyone!
Today's project is the second created with the fabulous collection,
The black & white photos look great with this soft colour palette.
I've been in the archives again this week,
going way back to 2005 and Harry learning to swim.

I have started with my usual kraft cardstock base.
Then the background effect was built with layers of Distress Oxide Inks,
different stencils and both foam & clear stamps.
I've used Oxides in Wild Honey, Storm Sky and Dried Marigold,
some water and packaging.
Once dry, I have stencilled with white ink
and Wild Honey Distress Ink.

The Sun has come from the 2 Crafty Weather Bits,
it has been covered with Tea Dye Distress Paint
and finished with Dimensional Magic
The stamping layer includes using Kaisercraft Tiny Dots
and foam stamps in crosses and circles.

I have hand cut the splashes from the green with white spots paper Hello World.
They have been added to the page with foam tape
and then I have applied a layer of Dimensional Magic for a wet look.
I've also added a few spots of Dimension Magic to the base for further splashes.

The 2 Crafty Tahnya's 6" border has been covered with Picket Fence Distress Paint
and then finished with Dimensional Magic.
It was added to the top of the photos to draw the eyes to the centre.

was painted with Antiqued Bronze Distress Paint.
It has been used under the photos to run across the page,
I have added a strip from the paper Off The Grid to sit across the chipboard.

I have embellished the page with different size flags.
The larger flags have been hand cut from the 6x4 Elements paper
and the smaller flags from the 2x2 Elements paper.

The 'wild & free' square was also hand cut from the 2x2 Elements paper.
I've used foam tape to give the square a lift.

The 2 Crafty title My Sunshine was covered with Tea Dye Distress Paint.
Then given a coat of Dimensional Magic.
I like the shiny finish of the different elements to work in with the water theme.

That's all from me today.
I hope you have enjoyed the process of the page.
Have a fabulous weekend
and please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.

Dream Destination by Amanda Hartmann

Hello AAS fans!

Another travel page today - this one from Bosnia-Herzegovina!
And I have used the wonderful Simple Stories Vintage Traveller collection again.

I have layered a few papers in the collection in the background and behind the photo: Rust/Green, and Off the Grid. I loved the world map design in the Off the Grid paper.

I finished the page simply; with journaling, stickers from the Simple Stories collection and some 2Crafty chipboard.

In these close ups you can see the various stickers from the 12x12 pack.

I used the "dream" chipboard word from 2Crafty pack with Webster's Alphabet stickers, for the title of the page.

I also included some scatters of 2 Crafty chipboard stars.

Thanks for looking today!

Beautiful You with CVS Happiness Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello

More CVS Happiness from me today. I just can't get enough of this collection, so using up some scraps to create my latest page:

Beautiful You
For this layout I wanted to focus on the small floral print on the Meadow paper to be the central part of my design. I have gessoed over my plain white cardstock, before adding some texture paste through a mask. Once dry I have used added watered down Ink Sprays to create a water colour background.
Next step was to create lots of paper layers with the pretty paper! Then I have these super funky 2Crafty Chipboard flowers -  Flower Set 1 - these are so funky, I just love them! I've simply inked these in pink and added them to my layout, topped with some more of my fussy cut butterflies.
Then it was a few tab stickers under my paper layers and finally finishing off with a flair button and a die-cut title both from the Happiness collection.

Father & Son Adventure using Photo Play Best Dad Ever By Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone!
Today I am sharing my first project using the collection
Photo Play Best Dad Ever
Warning: More snowflakes coming!
This collection was just too perfect not to be used for this photos.
Not your usual snowflake colours, but it still works well.
The photo has my two most favourite people in the world,
sharing our favourite holiday together.

I decided on a messy background for the base of this page.
Starting with my favourite Kraft cardstock,
I've then applied layers of Distress Oxide Inks, some water and plastic packaging.
Using the colours Aged Mahogany, Chipped Sapphire and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxides,
I have randomly applied the colours to appear between the paper layers.
The snowflakes are created from a stencil with white gesso.
and then some flicks of white are just watered down gesso.

The main patterned papers in either corner of the page
have been torn with to create the white distressed edges.
I've used more layers of the papers and colours under the B&W photo
to help lift and highlight the photo.
My collection of snowflake dies have helped to embellish the page
and work with the 2 Crafty snowflakes.

The 2 Crafty Fernlike Snowflakes have been base coated with gesso
and then embossed with the Letter It Embossing Powder in Silver Tinsel.
I have also added some wood veneer snowflakes from my stash,
to work in with the kraft base and decorate the centres of the larger flakes.

The tags have been punch from the patterned papers
and embellished with some string.

For the title, I have used a combination of two different 2 Crafty titles.
I've used Father & Son from 2 Crafty Father & Son Moment
and Adventure from 2 Crafty Live your Adventure.
They have been base coated with gesso, like the snowflakes
and then embossed with Letter It Embossing Powder Silver Tinsel.
I finished decorating the page with some gems from Kaisercraft

Thank you for visiting the blog today.
I hope you have enjoyed the project.
Have a happy and creative weekend
and join us again on Monday.

Memories, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all,
Today I continue my travel page shares.
This time with photos from Croatia, using the Kaisercraft Antiquities collection

For the main background, I used the Heirloom paper.
As accents, I added strips of the Limited Edition and Rare papers. These strips were
added at the top and bottom of the page as well as around the photos.

Then, throughout the page, I added different sticker combinations from

In these close ups, you will see the sticker strips, words, clocks, flags, leaves and florals
from the sticker book, that I used to complete the page.

So many more lovely travel photos to share!

Thanks for looking today!

Love Life with Cocoa Vanilla Studio Happiness Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Today I have another layout created with the beautiful Happiness collection. This time I've used the B Sides of the paper to create this page:

Love Life

Love the blues & greens on the B Side of the Happiness Collection papers, perfect for a beachy page. I've used a Kraft cardstock for a neutral background before adding some masking to tie the background to my papers. I still have a lot of fussy cut butterflies left over from last week so wanted to add a few of these to my page - so the gorgeous butterfly stamp was the perfect addition to my background.

Stickers, ephemera and flair from the collection alongside some more fussy cut butterflies to embellish with some pretty little cherry blossoms.

A close up of the stamping and a little flower cluster

I wasn't sure if I wanted a big stand out title on this page, so looking through my stash found these older Thickers in Kraft, they are perfect - big but as they are the same colour as my background they don't over power my page.

Bloom & Grow using Jillibean Soup Spoonful of Soul by Kerryn Fry

Hi Everyone!
Today I am sharing my second page using the collection,
Jillibean Soup Spoonful of Soul.
I am loving the colours in this range.
The photos are my gorgeous niece giving me her version of 'cheese'

A simple background effect this week.
The page started with a kraft cardstock base.
Then using white paint and a 6x6 Prima stencil,
I have added interest to different areas of the base to frame the photos.
The photos have been matted with black cardstock
to pop above the layers of papers.

The 2 Crafty Flower Scene has been used to either side of the photo.
The chipboard piece has been cut in two and base-coated with gesso.
I've hand painted the flowers with Distress Paint to match the papers.
Once the paint had dried, I've added some white doodles with a white gel pen.

The cluster in the bottom left corner of the page
has been created with diecuts from the Pea Pod Parts.
I've used the journal spot, hearts and flowers
and given them a lift with some 3D foam.

The 2 Crafty title Bloom & Grow was undercoated with gesso,
and then roughly swiped with Distress Paint.
You can see steaks of white peeping through the paint.
I've used more foam tape to layer the title on the photos.

And that's a wrap!
Thank you for dropping by today,
I hope you have been inspired.
Enjoy your weekend
and join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.
