AJ, by Amanda Hartmann

Hello AAS fans,
Today I am sharing a pretty page - again of my oldest daughter - growing up way too fast!
I love the pink tones of the shirt she is wearing here and it was the perfect colour
match to the Mintay Secret Place collection.

I started with a neutral base paper - Mintay - Secret Place Paper - 05 . Then I layered more papers in the range. I added ripped and distressed edges to the papers. The pink panel is the Mintay - Secret Place Paper - 01  and the flowers and text panels are from the Mintay - Secret Place Paper - 04

A feature of my page is the fussy cut frame. I fussy cut the circular plus floral design from the Mintay - Secret Place Paper - 02. I placed the photo directly onto this.

Let's look at some more close ups.

I added 3 simple word stickers, taken from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Sticker Accessory sheet. and my daughters initials in some gold thickers from my stash.

I also fussy cut some extra flowers from the Mintay - Secret Place Paper - 04 and layered these on the page with some leaves from the Green Tara - Leaf Sprays - White.

I finished the page with a subtle, splattering of gold. I used Colour Blast Shimmer Spray in Bling with a paint brush to achieve this.

That's it from me today! Make sure you head in store to see this divine range of papers!
Thanks for looking,

Trimming the Tree with Pinkfresh Studios Holiday Vibes by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back with another share created with the stunning Holiday Vibes collection by Pinkfresh Studios:

Trimming the Tree
For this layout I have used the tradition Reds and Greens from the papers, adding some texture to the page by tearing my layers. Next I have added some extra layers by fussy cutting the word strips from the Very Merry paper and tucking these under my photos to create a frame.

I've used the ephemera and the epoxy stickers once again to embellish my layout and some gold & enamel dots stars from an old Fancy Pants collection.
A cute little cluster to balance the bottom of my layout and my title with some gold thickers and Pinkfresh puffy stickers.
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Winter Wonderland using Echo Park Paper Celebrate Winter by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone!
Today I am sharing another page using the gorgeous collection,
Echo Park Paper Celebrate Winter.
This time, I have been inspired by Amanda's double page
that she did a few weeks ago.
My page was started a little while ago,
but I finally got it finished last weekend.
And yes, it's another snow page!
Mr 14 and a half, tobogganing like a crazy person,
even making his own ramp.
The page was started with a Kraft cardstock base.
In the top third of the page, I have started the background effect
with a snowflake Dylusions stencil and two shades of blue in Distress Oxides.
For the next layer, I have used a 6x6 Echo Park snowflake stencil
with silver paint and then stamped some snowflakes with white ink.
The next steps were putting down the paper layers.
Two thirds of the base is covered,
using strips of black cardstock to define some areas.
All of the photos have been lifted with foam tape,
with one photo highlighted with a scalloped black base.
Once the paper and photos were in place,
I got very busy fussy-cutting loads of snowflakes
and swirls from the patterned papers.
I have layered some of the snowflakes
and added Kaisercraft gems to the centres.
The 12x12 Element Sticker Sheet made embellishing the page easy.
Some of the stickers have been mounted a black cardstock to
give them a pop on the page and then lifted with foam tape.
I have used a die to cut some clouds out of patterned paper.
The snowman and tree are from the sticker sheet

The 2 Crafty Snowflakes have been given a coat of white paint
and then covered with 3 different colours of Stickles.
I've finished them off with Kaisercraft gems.

The custom made 2 Crafty title Winter Wonderland was given the same treatment,
base coat of white paint and then layered with Stickles.

I have hand-cut some mittens from the Cosy Mittens paper
to add another layer to the left hand side of the page.
The mittens have been lifted with foam tape.

And that's my page for this week.
At least I have put a small dent in our holiday photos.
Thanks for visiting the blog today,
have a wonderful weekend!
Hope you will join us again on Monday with Fiona's next page.

My Happy Place, by Amanda Hartmann

Dear AAS fans,
Having been lucky enough to travel to the Netherlands 3 times in the last 2 years (for work), I knew that the Kaisercraft Let's Go collection would be perfect.
It was harder to choose the right photo to use than to choose the papers!
In the end, for today's page, I decided to scrapbook a photo of my team enjoy lunch in
 the sunshine in Amsterdam.
I used three main papers in the range - to create the paper layers for this page.
I distressed the paper edges and combined them for the background and a panel on the right side.
Then I placed the photo, with some chipboard and sticker embellishments.
I layered the 2Crafty {12 inch border} Apron border across the page. I inked it grey and black.
In the corner of the photo, I used the 2Crafty world globe, inked black. I then used this globe as the platform for more embellishments.
For the title, I used the 2Crafty chipboard word 'My happy place'.  I inked this and added a coat of dimensional magic.
I also included some stickers from the Let's go sticker sheet.
The grey hearts came from the Pinkfresh studios Puffy sticker set, and the black hearts from 2Crafty chipboard hearts.
I used more word stickers above and below the photo.
I added some stamping for journaling.
I was so happy with the colours and patterns of this range of papers - perfect for my photos! Thanks for looking!

HoHoHo with Pink Paislee Holiday Vibes by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Starting today with some Christmas layouts for the rest of the month. Today I have created a page with the beautiful Pinkfresh Studios collection Holiday Vibes collection.

Loving the fussy cutting at the moment and this paper - Let it Snow was perfect to fussy cut. I cut out the full piece to create a feature for my page. Once my layout was complete I added an assortment of enamel dots to the floral centres.

Love the ephemera that comes in the range, I used it for my title and to create this cute cluster:

Dream Big using Bella Blvd Wish Big Boy by Kerryn Fry

Good  morning one and all!
Today's page has been created using
Bella Blvd Wish Big Boy.
Beautiful, bright colours for this happy boy.
Mr then 5, opening his presents very early in the morning!

The page has started with a Kraft Cardstock base,
used more for a firm base, than the colour this week.
I have used patterned paper for the rest of the page,
with lots of layers using the bright colours and different patterns.
You will also spot some black cardstock hiding under the blue paper Happy Birthday
I have doodled a border around the base patterned paper with a black gel pen.

The cake holding octopus and flying balloons have been hand cut
from the patterned paper Daily Details.
I leave a small white border around each element
to give them clear definition on the page.
The words are from the Ephemera Word Pack.

I've cut the 'happy birthday', small stars and 'Happy' from the Make a Wish paper.
I have used foam tape to give each of the elements some dimension.
The 2 Crafty Funky Stars have been covered with the stripe side
of the patterned paper Blow them Out.
I have doodled a faux stitch outline around each star
and pooped them on foam tape as well.

The journal strips have been created from
the remainder of the 6x4 octopus card.
They have been lifted with foam tape and
given some detail with a black pen.
I have used the words 'Time to Celebrate
from the same card and added to the base of the page.

The 2 Crafty title Dream Big has been covered
with charcoal ink.
I have hand cut a few more elements from the paper Dinotastic,
I love the little party creatures.

I hope you have enjoyed the page today,
it is always fun to go back to some of the older photos.
Have a fabulous weekend
and please pop back on Monday for Fiona's next page.

"Fancy", by Amanda H

Hi AAS fans!
I am scrapping something a little fancy today!
Some fancy Stroopwafels from Amsterdam!
I used the Kaisercraft Peachy collection.

I started with a sheet of White Cardstock. Before I made the stacks of papers and photos, I added some mixed media to the background.

I used a diamond stencil with Colour Paste in Leather to create the pattern on the background. I also used some Colour Shimmer Spray in Sienna to paint the edges and make some splatters. These Colour Blast colours - the brown and copper match the Kaisercraft Peachy collection perfectly.

I used the 6x6 paper pack of Peachy Collection, to mount and layer behind the two photos. Please note: the brown panel of paper was taken from my stash.

I finished the page by tucking lots of the Kaisercraft Peachy die cuts in the corners.

For the title, I used Gold Glitter Thickers. I gave the letters a light coat of Sienna Colour Shimmer Spray.

You can see I layered a number of die cuts, using foam tape for some dimension.

I finished with a few little flowers, bows and dots from my stash.
