Lovely you with Pinkfresh Studios Happy Heart by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
Back with another layout using the super pretty Happy Heart collection by Pinkfresh Studios. 
Lovely You

For todays layout I have chosen the Happiness Blooms paper with its lovely floral wreath design to be my base paper - love a ready made background. To add a little colour I have used another paper - Favourite Place to add a border. 
I've used a small photo for this page that sits inside the wreath but first I added a quote from the Reasons to Smile paper and cut it and my photo to match before mounting them together onto some printed paper, then adding some extra paper layers. I even got out an old border punch to add a little texture to my page. 

Next step - embellishments. I've fussy cut a butterfly and also used some of the butterflies from the accessory sticker sheet Lots of stickers to embellish and some of the puffy stickers also in the range. A tag and twine from my stash to complete it. 

Love these ephemera words from the Title Ephemera pack - I've used it for my title and one of the smaller words - cute - above as an embellishment.

Scootin' with Echo Park First Day of School by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This week I've got a layout to share with Echo Parks First Day of School papers:
Scootin'

As you can see, it is not a school themed layout - so don't be put off by papers that seem to be a certain theme as you can always check out the B sides and create anything you want!

For this layout I loved the rainbows and reminded me of this cute photo of my niece - the perfect colours! I've added some cute little stars to the background with some Distress Oxide in Spiced Marmalade before tearing a couple of papers and layering them down the page. 

I've added some dimension by fussy cutting some of the rainbows and mounting them over the matching rainbow on the paper. For embellishments I have used the kid themed Pebbles Kit at Heart ephemera and some older Cocoa Vanilla pieces.

Embrace Today using Uniquely Creative Moody Blues by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!My page today has been created with the collectionUniquely Creative Moody Blues.A beautiful monochromatic range that worksperfectly with the B&W photo of my nieces.This photo was taken in July 2012 whileon holidays visiting in Brisbane.I can't believe this little munchkin has just turned 12.

The cardstock base of the page is a12x12 sheet of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.The black & white photo has beenmatted with Bazzill Raven Cardstock.
The background effect is a simple watered down white gesso wash flicked onto the page with a paint brush.

Some of the embellishments,

the mandelas and fans, have been hand cut 

from the papers Moody and Periwinkle.

The remaining embellishments,

the butterflies, flowers and words,

 are from the Creative Cuts pack.

The butterflies are only glued in the 

centres with the wings free to fly.

The Creative Cut flowers have 

been added to the page with

 foam tape for dimension.

The scalloped circle is

also from the Creative Cuts.

The large mandela was hand cut

from the Moody paper and

tucked under the photo.

A 2 Crafty Tag has been covered

 with the Midnight paper and

also been  tucked under the top right 

corner of the photo and mandela.

The centre of the mandela has been 

embellished with Creative Cuts.

The 2 Crafty Funky Heart Swirl

has been covered with Faded Jeans

Distress Paint and swiped with

white gesso.

The 2 Crafty title Embrace Today has been 

covered with Chipped Sapphire Distress Paint.

Once the paint was dry, I have swiped the title 

with white gesso and then randomly outlined

some of the letters with a white pen.

The quotes on the page are from 

the Creative Cuts pack and 

have been added with foam tape.

I have outlined some of the papers

with a black gel pen to tie the black 

in with the photo.

MOthers Day with Pinkfresh Studio Happy Heart collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This weeks layout is created using the beautiful Pinkfresh Happy Heart collection:
Mothers Day

Love the pretty colour combo of Pink, Yellow and Teal. For this layout I started with my main two colours - pink and yellow and created a background using Distress Oxide ink and a Vicki Boutin Stencil.  I then mounted the cardstock onto a patterned paper in teal. 
Next step was to layer up my papers, focusing on pink, then yellow with a pop of teal. 

Lots of pretty co-ordinating embellishments, as well as a little fussy cutting of the butterflies to embellish the layout. 

This 2Crafty title was perfect for this photo, just some pink ink to match the flowers in the main paper and a little shimmer.

Cheeky but Handsome using Play All Day Boy Echo Park Paper by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone!Today my page has been created from the remaining pieces of the collectionEcho Park Paper Play All Day Boy.A very cute photo of a younger Mr Hplaying outside with his favourite nerf gun.Just being a typical boy, doing boy things.
This page started with a 12x12 sheet of Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Foundations paper.The background has been created with Distress Inks,water and a piece of plastic packaging.I've used Rustic Wilderness & Blueprint Sketchand balanced the two colours to surround the paper layers.
Once the inks were dry, I have addedsplashes of each colour across the page.The final layer in the background was createdwith Crafters Workshop stencil and black ink.

I've used Bazzill Raven Cardstock to back the photo and the main patterned paper 4x4 Journaling Card.I've hand cut some of the word bubblesand added them as another layer to the paper.Each bubble has been lifted with foam tape.

The right top corner cluster has been created with

2 Crafty Mini Weather Icons Sun and a cloud,

then Element stickers balloon, helicopter and plane.

The 'Sun' has been covered with Wild Honey Distress Paint

and the cloud has been covered with White Gesso.

The bottom left corner is a hand cut 2x2

square "All Boy' on foam tape.

The bike and scooter are stickers from

the Element Sticker Sheet.

I've also used foam tape to lift the tips 

of the banner ends on the patterned paper piece.

At the bottom of the page, I've added a cluster

of Element stickers lifted with foam tape.

The 'All Boy' strip along the bottom edge of the page

is also from the Element Sticker Sheet.

I've added more hand cut word bubbles

to the bottom section of the 4x4 Journaling Card paper.

The title for the page has been created with

the 2 Crafty Mini Word Set 4.

Using the words Cheeky and Handsome

and letters from the words 'Brave' and Fantastic.

The title words have been covered with

Blueprint Sketch Distress Paint.

Happy with Vicki Boutin Sweet Rush by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This week I have another layout created with the super bright and fun Sweet Rush collection by Vicki Boutin:

This rainbow paper could be my favourite in the collection - I have cut it from the base paper - and created a mixed media background behind the page instead before layering up some paper pieces and then hitting the ephemera hard!

My background is created using the plastic bag technique, then once this dry I have inked a stencil in the matching ink colour. I have used Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass and a Vicki Boutin stencil.

I've fussy cut some tags from another patterned paper and used some strips from another but the rest of the layout is surrounded in ephemera from a mix of Sweet Rush packets - both journaling and icons!
Lastly I used the thickers to add some stars and some extra words to the page:

Magic using Carta Bella Believe In Magic by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!Today's page has been created withmy remaining pieces of the collectionCarta Bella Believe in Magic.
The gorgeous photos are my Great-Nieceat her Frozen birthday party in 2015.The blue in her dress was agreat match for this range.

A very simple page this week.

The base is a plain 12x12 sheet 

of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.

The layers of patterned paper

and hand cut embellishments

have tied the page together.

The clouds have been hand cut

from Beyond The Clouds paper

and added to the page with foam tape.

I've outlined each cloud with 

a faux stich border created 

with a black gel pen.

The small stars are from

Element Sticker Sheet,

they have been lifted with foam 

tape to create more dimension.

The circles have been punched out

from the Firework Show paper

and placed around the page 

with foam tape.

The two main 6x4 photos have been

backed with Bazzill Raven Cardstock

to define them amongst the colours and patterns.

The lighting in the third photo 

was different to the other two.

It was taken in full sun and shows her full outfit.

I decided to make it a feature of the page,

I have cut out the silhouette of my Great-Niece

and added her to the page with foam tape.

The embellishments around the silhouetteare some hand cut speech bubbles from the Fun Day Phrases paperand stickers from the Element Sticker Sheet.
Most of the elements have beenadded to the page with foam tape.

The title of the page 'Magic'is also a sticker from the Element Sticker Sheet.I've used some of the circles punched out of the Fireworks Show paper toback the title sticker.
