Hope all the mums had a lovely Mothers Day yesterday.
 After yesterday I thought a photo of my girls and I would be the perfect choice to share.
 I have created this with the new Vicki Boutin Cut & Paste collection:

I loved this gorgeous floral wreath paper as soon as I saw it and decided it would be the perfect choice for this photo. I teamed it up with a plainer B side paper to create a contrasting matt background, then used the same paper to matt my photo, before adding some of the advertising strips as layers and fussy cutting some scallops for under my photo. 

Next I have hit up the ephemera icons embellishment packet to grab some flowers to add around the wreath using some mounting tape to add dimension. A large butterfly from the ephemera and a smaller butterfly and gold hearts and dots from the cardstock sticker sheets. The my heart vellum also from the ephemera pack which contains a mix of vellum and cardstock icons. 

I finished the page off with an assortment of words to form my title, these are all from the ephemera titles pack.

Determined 49 & Market Rust and Revs 2.0 Kellie Moore

Hi Everyone! 

It's Kellie here on the blog today sharing a page using the brand new collection from
49 & Market called "Rust and Revs 2.0"

I'm documenting a photo of my eldest son who this year started an apprenticeship as
 a Diesel Mechanic and this picture shows him after removing a bus engine.
 This collection is great for documenting masculine pages. 

Here is my page...

For this page I used a sketch from Allison Davis and it was a paid class, so I can't share
the sketch but I can share my page. 

I started the page by cutting a whole lot of small rectangles with a bunch of the papers
 and layering them across the page in a zig zag pattern. I love the background paper I used
 as its from the solids paper pack but it looks corrugated but its just the print that gives
 the illusion.  Before sticking the rectangles down I distressed the edges of the paper
 to add more texture to my page.

To break up some of the pattern and to give my photo a base I used the cream paper from
the solids paper pack. I then used a 2Crafty 'Grid Bits' piece to place under the left side
 of my photo. I painted it with some copper-coloured paint to match in with the papers.

To create a visual triangle around my photo I added some ephemera pieces to the top
 of my photo and to the bottom right where I also placed my title.
 The title piece and word strips come from the chipboard pack. 

To finish my page I also added some of the rub-ons on to the cream paper.

Magical with Mintay Wildwood Secrets by Fiona Siegel

Hello everyone
This weeks layout features the stunning new Wildwood Secrets by Mintay Papers.
Gorgeous woodland creatures in wood grains with reds and green. It is just stunning. 
Magical

I just love the full sheet designs on these papers - you could just add some photos and a couple of embellishments and be done! I have gone with cutting with main detail of paper 3 and trimmed this full length to layer it with a mix of the red and green patterned papers, using a woodgrain background. I've added a chipboard border doily to add some dimension to my page - I've painted it white then added some glitter

I've used some dimension by mounting embellishments over the same image on the patterned paper such as this jar of mushrooms, then I have added some flowers cut from the patterned paper. 
The 2Crafty Mushrooms I have coloured with a mix of copic markers and sharpies for a deeper colour. 

Some more of the mixed Die-Cut embellishments and some cute paper flowers, before finishing off with some journaling words from the sticker words sheet.

Hello everyone
Back with another layout using the beautiful Simple Stories
Vintage Flower Shoppe collection:
Good Vibes

For this layout I chose to focus on the pinks and florals from the collection.
 I teamed  this up by using a Vicki Boutin Stencil and Foundations Paper to
 create my background with pink - Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks. 

You can see a close up of the distress ink flowers, then I have added a mix of fussy cut and ephemera butterflies to the top of the page with a smattering of decorative brads. 

Some tabs and flowers from the bits and pieces ephemera teamed up with decorative brads. 
A gorgeous large floral basket embellishment from the bits and pieces ephemera pack,  alongside my foam stickers title before finishing off with some Cocoa Vanilla Studio word stickers.

Hey Scrappy Friends!

Kel here today sharing a page using the Simple Stories Fur Baby Dog Collection.

Im a Mum to 3 gorgeous Cavoodles so I love a good dog collection and this range
from Simple Stories is a lot of fun.

The photos I'm documenting today are of my boy Sarge playing ball.
Have a look...

I have used 4 photos and one picture which I cut around to give the impression of jumping.

One of the papers in the collection had balls on it so I decided I wanted to cut some of them
 out to use on my page, which lead to the idea of creating some bigger balls to fill in the page.
 They were easy to make..just cut a circle then added some white cardstock on top which
I cut by hand...I also added some stitching.

I cut 2 of my pics also in circles to add to the circles of the balls, layering my pics
horizontally across the page on top of 2 of the patterned papers.

I decided to add some circles to my background using texture paste and added the small
 hand cut balls to my background with some stitching to add the feeling of movement.

I added some finishing touches using the foam stickers and decorative brads.

One Fine Day with Carta Bella Secret Garden and Mintay See you in Paris by Fiona Siegel

Hello everyone
Today I have created a layout using paper from Carta Bella Secret Garden and embellishments from Mintay See you in Paris. 
 ONE FINE DAY 

I've created a layout using predominantly pink with a touch of black and white. I've used two different pink patterned papers then teamed that up with embellishments from the Mintay See you in Paris Diecuts. I've added some older 49andMarket rubons to the background in pink shades, before adding a flower. 

More of the Mintay diecuts and white flowers from my stash. The words and mini title stickers are from the Mintay See you in Paris word stickers. I've also used some ephemera from 49andMarket for my title One Fine Day and the tab under my photo.

White Flowers

18 Celebrate with Carta Bella Secret Garden by Fiona Siegel

Hello everyone
This week I have created a layout using the beautiful Secret Garden collection by Carta Bella. I do love how thick the papers are in this collection which has lots of beautiful florals:
18 Celebrate

For this layout I wanted to use one of the busy floral patterned papers as my main background. To make this work I have matted the paper with a plain green border, and then matted my photos in a plainer patterned paper too. 
Next I used some co-ordinating flowers from Green Tara and used the Secret Garden Tags and Frames to add journaling to the page. 

More florals and ephemera words

I finished off with using some thickers for my title - finding some numbers in Gold to match the birthday sash and then the large celebrate title from a birthday thickers pack.

Destination Fun 49 & Market Wanderlust Explorer Kellie Moore

Welcome back to the AAS Blog!
It's Kel here today sharing a page using the new 49 & Market Wanderlust Explorer collection.

These photos are documenting my hubby and 2 of my boys from quite a few years ago
when we were staying at a holiday park and they were riding this pedal bike and having
 lots of fun.
Here is my page

I chose a paper from the solids pack to use as my main background, then used 3 patterned
 papers to add strips down the left hand side of the page. I then used some modeling paste
 through a stencil to add some interest to the background..

I have 4 photos on my page so I used the larger picture at the top left of my page and the
3 smaller pics across the bottom right. Adding extra photos helps capture more of the memory. 

To the bottom cluster I have added some paper strips under my photos to anchor them to the
page, again adding a mix of embellishments around my photos. I added a frame to the middle
 photo and added dimensional adhesive behind it to add dimension.

I cut a circle to add under my main photo to help ground that photo.
 I have added ephemera, laser cuts, rubons and epoxy stickers to help emphasise the picture.

For my title I chose the word 'Destination' from the chipboard pieces and cut out the
zig zag shape to help draw attention it. The word 'Fun' I hand cut from one of the papers.
It wasn't standing out enough, so I added some hand stitching to help it pop.

I added some 2Crafty Chevrons to the title which I embossed green...

To the bottom left I added some of the hollow chevrons from the same 2Crafty pack which I coloured black and backed with some patterned paper..

Todaywith Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe by Fiona Siegel

How pretty is this collection by Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Flower Shop! Love it, so pretty!
Today

The base paper is fantastic with its cure camera and viewfinder cluster in the bottom corner making it easy add some complimentary embellishments to the design! I started with some paper layers before adding some tags from the tag elements paper, adding some twine then embellishing with Bits and Pieces ephemera

Love the camera on the opposite corner to compliment the background paper, and added the enamel brad to the centre. Some butterflies and an word tag to complete the cluster. 

The big bike to match the bike with floral basket in my photo - perfect!! And a simple title to complete my layout.

Hello everyone
Super cute collection this week by Carta Bella for little girls, That's My Girl!
 Gorgeous pinks and greens and love the thickness of the paper. 
Bloom and Grow

For this layout I focused on the green in the jumper and then added some florals and pinks to match the overall image - outside in the garden. I love how this papers edges rough up as it is quite thick paper. I love the woodgrain paper as a background for contrast - this piece is from the boy collection by Carta Bella - That's My Boy. 
Perfect stickers to accompany the page and some pretty white blooms and a smattering of heart stickers to complete the embellishing. 

I am a sucker for a cute mushrooom sticker and this little house one is super cute!! I finished my page off with the 2Crafty title Bloom & Grow - in a slightly darker red so it pops. The perfect title for garden photos!
