Magical Memories with Uniquely Creative Merry & Magical by Fiona Johnstone

Well it is the festive time of the year, that means it is time for some Christmas layouts!! There are lots of gorgeous collections out this year for Christmas and today I am using the beautiful Merry & Magical collection by Uniquely Creative:
Magical Memories 

Not traditional Christmas colours but stunning pinks, mauves and blues that are so beautiful! I have a gorgeous snowy background as part of my Christmas display and this photo from last year of my youngest was perfect for this collection!
I've taken advantage of the beautiful background on the Christmas Spirit paper and added some matting behind my photo, a few paper strips and a doily before adding lots of the stunning embellishments in the Creative Cuts pack!

The Creative Cuts pack contains gorgeous baubles, florals and titles - so much stuff! But my ABSOLUTE favourite is this gorgeous Nutcracker! Love him 💜

Of course the titles are perfect too, and I love how the black really pops!

Of course a little more black added with the foam stars and some little Christmas word stickers and clear snowflakes to finish off the layout.

Crafty Girls using Carta Bella Craft & Create by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone!I'm sharing one final page created with the gorgeous collection Carta Bella Craft & Create.

Surprisingly, I have actually used it as it was intended!

A crafty weekend away with my Mum, friends

and a fantastic bunch of women at Victor Harbor.

The base layer is 12x12 Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.

The effect in the background has been 

created with Distress Oxide Inks 

Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron.

I've applied the inks to the cardstock with the 

6x6 Crafters Workshop Template Mini Tiny Circles. 

I love the extra colour created 

where the inks have overlapped.

I've used three portrait photos 7x10cms,

they have been added to Bazzill Raven Cardstock

and lifted with foam tape.

The small peach journal has been hand cut 

from the paper Handmade with Love. 

I have added more black cardstock as a strip

to tie in with the photo mats.

Then added some fake stitch lines

around some of the paper layers

with a black gel pen.

All of the flowers and leaves have been 

hand cut from the papers

Sew Lovely Floral and Crafting Floral.

I've used foam tape to create dimension

in the clusters on the page.

 

The words have been hand cut

from the paper Crafty & Happy 

The craft embellishments have 

been cut from the paper Handmade with Love.

The title has been made from the

word 'Crafty' cut out of the paper Crafty & Happy.

The word 'girls' are alpha stickers from my stash.

You've Got This! with Doodlebug Fun at the Park by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This week I have a special page created using the Doodlebug Fun at the Park collection
for this page of my Dad battling cancer. (He is now in remission). 
You've Got This!

The primary colours and stars were perfect for this page! My starting point was actually the cut-file, as soon as I saw it I knew it was the perfect frame for Dads new photo. The colours had to match the St George Dragons footy jersey of course!

Once I had the design, I backed my cut-file with the papers from the Fun at the Park collection. Next decision was to have a white or black background - the colours popped a lot more on the black so I used my mask and some paint to create a burst pattern under where my cut-file would go using the Uniquely Creative Linear Ray Stencil. 

I added some xoxo's from my stash and finished with the perfect title - You've Got This! Lastly a couple of the cute enamel stars from the Doodlebug collection.

Love using Penelope Dee Charlotte by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone!I'm back today with my second layout created withPenelope Dee Charlotte collection.This range is beautiful!The B&W photos of Mr H and his Nanawere taken at Elder Park way back in 2005.Such a sweet moment captured.

I love the colours in this collection

and how well they sit on the Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.

The background effect was created first

with Distress Oxide Inks Aged Mahogany

and Abandoned Coral.

I've used plastic packaging and water

to apply the oxide inks to the cardstock.

Once the background had dried naturally,

I have stencilled with white gesso 

and the Celebr8 Love Story stencil.

The circles at the top of the page

have been punched from the Sentimental Paper.

They have been lifted with foam tape.

The floral clusters around the photos 

have been hand cut from the Devoted paper.

I've also added some extra flower pieces

and the hearts cut from Sentimental paper.

The 2x2 inch squares are also from the Sentimental paper.

The squares have been outlined with the gold pen

and added to the page with foam tape.

I love the quote from Sentimental.

I've cut it into 2 pieces and cut banner flags at each end.

The pieces have been lifted with foam tape.

Along the bottom of the cardstock

I've added some paper strips

and then added the 'Cherish' tab with foam.

I've cut the scallop border on the bottom edge

of the patterned paper and then highlighted

the paper piece with a dot border using the gold pen.

The smaller flowers were cut from the wreaths

on the Sentimental paper and added with foam tape.

The title to the page is the 

2 Crafty Fine Word 'Love'

I have covered it with gold ink.

Enjoy the Journey with Pinkfresh Studio The Best Day by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
Today I have another layout created with Pinkfresh Studio's The Best Day.
I have used lots of patterned paper layers for this page:
Enjoy The Journey

My first paper choice for this page was the gorgeous leaf print of the So Thankful paper which I wanted to use for my background. I added some torn paper layers from the other papers in the collection to the top and bottom of my layout - fussy cutting the Thankful from the Together is My Fave paper as well as the floral circle I used to embellish. I matted my photo in the light pink paper and added a couple of banners to the side. 

Love the cute bike from the Best Day Ephemera pack and teamed this up with embellishments from the Floral Ephemera pack and the Cardstock Sticker Sheet. 

Extra embellishments include  a cream doily and a cream Green Tara cherry blossom to compliment my off white background. I finished with some wood veneer bits and my 2Crafty title "Enjoy the Journey" both painted grey to match the range and then I added some cream and grey enamel hearts from my stash to finish the page.

Forever Layout using Penelope Dee Charlotte by Kerryn

Hello everyone!

The page I'm sharing with you today

has been created using the collection,

Penelope Dee Charlotte.

The beautiful photo is of my sister and my niece,

it was taken at my older niece's engagement in March.

The colours in the photo work well with the collection. 

The base cardstock is Bazzill Kraft Cardstock, my fav.

The effect in the background has been 

created with Distress Oxide Inks 

Aged Mahogany and Ripe Persimmon.

I've added them with the Sweet Sunflower Carta Bella Stencil. 

The inks have been applied in 3 main areas.

I've used the stencil and a gold pen 

to outline the circle part of the stencil.

The next layer is the Celebr8 Love Story Stencil

and Brillance Gold Ink added to random areas.

The 2 Crafty Doodled Heart has

been covered with Tsukineko Gold Ink.

It has been tucked under the journal card

that was hand cut from the Devoted Paper.

I hand cut some extra flowers from the Sentimental paper

to add to the flower cluster on the journal card.

Then I've added Stickles Glitter Glue

to the flower centres for a little sparkle.

The flower cluster tucked under the 

top right corner of the photo has been

hand cut from the Sentimental paper as well.

The small heart was also hand cut from the paper.

I've add gold pen fake stitching

to either side of the Precious Paper.

The quote has been hand cut

from the Sentimental paper.

I have cut it down into four smaller pieces

and added it the page with foam tape.

The title for the page has been created with 

the words 'Loved Beyond Measure'

hand cut from the Devoted paper.

The 2 Crafty Fine Word Set 1 'Forever'

has been covered with gold ink

and then added to the page as a sub-total.

The final touch to the page

is flicks of gold ink across the page.

This week I am back with some more Pinkfresh Studio: The Best Day collection
to create my layout

I've utilised the pinks and greys from this collection to work in with my daughters pink and grey check shirt. 
I've used a new VB stencil to mask a fern to my background which compliment the leafy paper  then added some flecks of pink paint.  Then I have layered up some torn pattern paper layers. 
My title is from an older Pinkfresh collection - Keeping it Real. 

To embellish the page I have used some of the embellishments from the Floral ephemera pack, alongside some Cocoa Vanilla pieces and some older Pinkfresh. 

Love this little girl flair button from Cocoa Vanilla! So cute! And the perfect way to finish this little cluster.
