My Happy Place using Kaisercraft Breathe by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone.
Today's page has been created using the beautiful collection,
Kaisercraft Breathe.
The collection is a combination of blue, grey and pink,
but for my masculine page, I've stuck with the blue & grey.
The photo was taken on last year's snow trip at Lake Mountain.
This is clear proof  my Mr 14 is one crazy boy!

I have used Bazzill kraft cardstock as a supporting base for the page.
The main background paper is Clear Skies with the grid pattern.
The next step was to layer strips of patterned paper on opposing sides of the page,
I've tried to alternate light and dark patterns.
It's a simple design.
The grid pattern was also perfect to use as journal strips,
they have been mounted on foam tape.

There are two different 2 Crafty chipboard snowflakes on the page.
The smaller ones are 2 Crafty Fernlike Snowflake
and the large one is the 2 Crafty Snowflake,
I have been painted them with Distress Paint Picket Fence.
They have been finished off with the white Brilliance Ink.

I have punched out some smaller snowflakes using the darker papers,
adding them to compliment the chipboard snowflakes.
The Collectables pack was used to build the lower clusters on the page
and the date added to the clock face.

The wire string was added to the top of the tag.
I've painted the 2 Crafty Word Bubble with Distress Paint
and backed it with Mosaic Stroke patterned paper.

The 2 Crafty title My Happy Place was also covered with Distress Paint.
Once dry, I've added ink for a little sparkle.
The title has been lifted on foam tape.

That's my page for this week.
Thank you for visiting the blog today,
have a fabulous weekend and happy crafting.
Please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.

Shine, by Amanda Hartmann

Hello everyone,
There is nothing like pastels and florals to scrap a group of gorgeous girls
. And the Splendor collection from My Minds Eye, was just right.

I started with a base of Kraft cardstock, which was also used as a mount under the photo.

The patterned paper for the background is the Forever paper - and a striped strip of the paper was also used across the page. I used black machine stitching to this paper.

In the close ups you will see how I added elements of black: black thread, black tissue paper and a 2Crafty chipboard flower doily inked black.
Also I layered some lovely floral stickers from the Splendor Accessory Cardstock Stickers sheet.

And for the title, I used the 2Crafty chipboard - fine word - shine - inked to match!

Having used only one sheet of this paper to create this page, I have plenty more stashed for another time!

Amazing Day with Kaisercraft Paradise Found by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Scrapping a holiday snap today with this cool collection by Kaisercraft - Paradise Found. Great beachy collection!

Amazing Day

I took a few panorama shots with my phone (Samsung S9) while I was away, such a great & fun way to capture the whole scene. Printing the photo makes it long and skinny, so it goes right across my page. This inspired the use of the Balmy Nights paper:

I've fussy cut he top half of the design and then layered it onto the woodgrain background paper:

For the base of my layout, I used the sand paper to continue the effect of the sand across the bottom of the photo.

Next I added some more leaves to my page with the collectibles pack and a few other cute bits & pieces from the pack.
I'm a big fan of these new curios - add some nice dimensions and finishing touches to the layout. I also added some sequins from my stash to continue the blue and green colour combo.

My 2Crafty title, Amazing Day, I've inked in a blue and green combo then added some dimensional magic.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week
Fiona

100% Boy using My Minds Eye Happy Days by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
A new collection for me this week.
Today I'm sharing my first layout created with
My Minds Eye Happy Days.
It has gorgeous bright colours and I love the touch of pink.
The photo is another one from the archives,
Harrison age 5, riding his bike with rollerblades on.
What can I say!

A simple design this week.
The page was started with my usual favourite, Kraft cardstock.
I've added some interest to the background.

The 2 Crafty Zig Zag border is actually the centre piece.
This piece has become my sun,
I've painted it with Mustard Seed Distress Paint
and then swiped with gold metallic ink.
Once dry, I've applied a thick coat of Dimensional Magic

The house  and clouds have been hand cut from Ice Cream Dreams paper
and the cactus cut from Cheery Disposition.
I have added a faux stitched border to the clouds with a black pen
and all of the elements have been mounted on foam tape.
For something a little different, I have journalled around the pattern papers.

The 2 Crafty title 100% Boy has been given the same effect as the sun.
Painted with Distress Paint and then swiped with gold ink,
finishing with a thick coat of Dimensional Magic.
I love the sparkle of the gold ink in the light
and how the gold highlights the yellow on the bike.

That's all for this week.
Thanks for dropping by today.
and I hope you have a great weekend.
Please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next page.

Hugs & Kisses, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi AAS fans!

Some paper purchases are so spontaneous... I loved the bright colours and adorable designs of the Doodlebug Designs French Kiss collection - I bought the papers with NO idea what to scrapbook with them! Then I found this photo of the kids, and with plenty of pink and blue and loads of love, it seemed perfect!

I started with the blue background paper -Just Rosey - because blue is always my go to colour in a range!

I cut two triangles for two corners, using the super fun French Café paper - oh those hearts!

The photo was mounted on various papers, and behind it is the City of Love paper.

I used lots of stickers to finish, as you can see in the close ups. I put them in a diagonal design and included longer stickers across the page under the photo.
I used stickers from the This & That Cardstock Stickers sheet and the Icons Cardstock Stickers sheet.

How cute is that pink poodle? Almost as cute as these kids!
Thanks for looking!
Amanda

Happy Times with Cocoa Vanilla Studio Happiness collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Very excited this week to have had the chance to create with the beautiful new Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection Happiness.  The colours are divine and always love the fabulous range of embellishments.

Happy Times

For this layout, I wanted to use the heart die-cut. This comes with a backing sheet, but I decided to use that for something else and just use the heart. To make it stand out I chose a plain patterned paper so it didn't get lost in the pattern.

Next I layered up some papers to suit my photo and centred this onto the heart background before digging into those fab embellishments.

Love the flowers clusters in the ephemera pack, it is always my first choice of CVS embellishments and I've used it with a few other select pieces.

I've finished off the page with a fun flair button - these are always super cute!! The title is from the ephemera pack, but be sure to check out the die-cut titles pack for more title ideas here

My Boy using Kaisercraft Scrap Studio by Kerryn Fry

Morning all & happy Friday!
Today I'm sharing the first page I've created using the collection
Kaisercraft Scrap Studio.
I used the papers with green/blue tones and natural colours
to work with the photo.
The photo is of a very young, then Mr 3 in 2007.
A time when he didn't mind the camera,
being very photogenic and super cute.

The page was started with my favourite Kraft Cardstock base.
It worked perfectly with the colours used from this collection.
I've used a Crafters Workshop 6x6 Template with a few different Distress Oxides
on the bottom half of the page for a background effect.
The patterned papers have been layered in the top half of the page.
I've used a few strips from Splatter paper under the photo to blend
the join between the cardstock and the Tarnished paper.

There is plenty of 2 Crafty Chipboard on this page.
The 2 Crafty Chained Circle Frame and Chain length have been painted
with Tarnished Brass Distress Paint.
I swiped them both with a Gold Ink pad to add a second layer
and then finished with some gold glitter glue for extra highlights.

The 2 Crafty #Handsome has been covered with gold ink
and then finished with Dimensional Magic.

I have used the negative part of the 2 Crafty Heart Silhouettes.
They have been covered with Faded Jeans Distress Paint
and then I have painted the edges with Chipped Sapphire.
I have randomly stamped with gold ink and script stamp
and then added a few touches of gold glitter glue.

The 2 Crafty Indian feathers have been painted with
two different Distress Paint, Faded Jeans and Evergreen Bough.
I've then added the random gold stamping and more glitter glue.
The Collectables pack was fantastic to add some embellishments to the page.
The butterflies, small doily and bingo card.
The quote was hand cut from the bottom strip of the patterned paper.
I've added some foam tape to a few elements to give the page some dimension.

The 2 Crafty title My Boy has been painted with Evergreen Bough Distress Paint.
Th second layer is small amounts of Tarnished Brass Distress Paint.
Once everything was dry, I have used a script stamp and gold ink.
The final layer is touches of gold glitter glue.

"Relax", by Amanda Hartmann

Hello again AAS fans!

Here is my page today using one of the new collections from Kaisercraft: Paradise Found
With a beach photos of Abby, this range was perfect.
And I shouted myself the stamp and diecut set this time, and they were so fun to create and use.

I used a single panel of By the Sea paper (the spots) down the page, on a sheet of Kraft cardstock as the base. I did some subtle stencil work on the background, which you will see in the close ups.

I mounted the photos on some neutral paper (Salt Water) and layered this on the soft peach-pink of Tropic Vibes and then the reverse of By the Sea. Love a good stack of photos and papers!

As mentioned, I used the stamp and die set to stamp and then cut some of the tropical leaves, a flower and the word Relax. I also used the larger decorative die  to cut some tropical leaves. I used neutral side of the By the Sea paper for all of this. For colour, I coloured the diecuts with some Distress Oxide Ink Pads (mixed with water) in Candied ApplePeeled Paint.

Looking at the stencil work - I used a sponge with Distress Oxide Ink Pad - Peeled Paint to add soft leaves, using the Tropical Leaves 6x6 stencil, onto the Kraft background.

By adding splatters of Colour Blast Shimmer Spray in Envy, it created a wonderful oxidized effect with the leaf patterns.
The final touches to mention, is the use of the lovely glass top Paradise Found Curios - I loved the effect of these on the page. And as I often do, I saved one of the paper strips from the 12x12 papers and used it on the page. In this instance I used the quote: "All I need is a palm tree and an ocean breeze" - a simple and easy element to add to any page!

I love this paper range and I am even more excited about all my tropical stamps, diecuts and stencils - I know I will use these so many more times!

Thanks for looking,
Amanda
