Super Boy Power with Pebbles Cool Boy Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Time for a boy post this week, featuring some mixed media and the adorable Pebbles collection - Cool Boy:
Super Boy Power

This week I thought I might start off showing my background - I've used two Vicki Boutin stencils and some Distress Oxide to create this. If you look at my design you can see I knew where wanted my paper to go, in fact I created the paper layers first then lay down on the cardstock to get a rough idea. 
I started with the word stencil (old Vicki Boutin) using Distress Oxide in Twisted Citron, then once it dried I have used another VB stencil and Distress Oxide in Salty Ocean - I have used the Ranger Blending tool - perfect for randomly adding the circles, then finishing with some splatters. 

With the base done I've placed down my paper layer main pieces then added some super cute embellishments from the ephemera pack -these are the cutest! My tag is fussy cut from the Ephemera paper, added a hole punch and some twine from my stash. 

Love the mix of vellum and cardstock in the pack! I fussy cut the cool from my patterned paper to add to this chipboard tag. 

Finishing off the page with the title Super Boy Power from the ephemera pack.

Scootin' with Echo Park First Day of School by Fiona Johnstone

This week I've got a layout to share with Echo Parks First Day of School papers:
Scootin'

As you can see, it is not a school themed layout - so don't be put off by papers that seem to be a certain theme as you can always check out the B sides and create anything you want!

For this layout I loved the rainbows and reminded me of this cute photo of my niece - the perfect colours! I've added some cute little stars to the background with some Distress Oxide in Spiced Marmalade before tearing a couple of papers and layering them down the page. 

I've added some dimension by fussy cutting some of the rainbows and mounting them over the matching rainbow on the paper. For embellishments I have used the kid themed Pebbles Kit at Heart ephemera and some older Cocoa Vanilla pieces.

Todays layout with Simple Stories Safe Travels - memories from last years scrapbook retreat just before the next one - which unfortunately isn't looking to likely to go ahead with the current Sydney lockdown!

The blues and oranges in this range were perfect for this photo from last scrap retreat, I teamed them up with some stamping onto a kraft background - love the new Vicki Boutin stamp in the Color Story range!

I added tearing and distressed paper layers, using a few more tags for extra texture. I've used this gorgeous bloom from Green Tara as a focal embellishment, adding a small camera and a sticker from the Safe Travels foam thickers.

Faithful Friend with Bella Blvd and Pebbles Inc. The Avenue by Fiona Johnstone

This week I have another share with the gorgeous Pebbles Inc. The Avenue by Jen Hadfield to share and I have combined it with Bella Blvds super fun Cut-Outs.

I love these cut-outs from Bella Blvd, perfect if you don't have a cutting machine. You can find this and lots of new styles here. I've teamed the Faithful Friend cut out up with this cute puppy paper in Pebbles, The Avenue collection and matching papers from the range. I've used the papers to mount onto the cut-outs. 

Love the woodgrain background, perfect for outdoorsy pics! I've mounted the cut-out onto the paper and embellished my layout with some flowers from the icon ephemera. 

Love the cute puppy from the ephemera pack, the perfect touch.  Then a few heart enamel shapes and some word stickers to finish off the page.

Lovely with Pebbles Jen Hadfield The Avenue collection by Fiona Johntone

I have the stunning Jen Hadfield The Avenue collection to share this week. There are a lot of papers and embellishments in this collection, so much choice!

For this layout I have used a cut file to frame my photos, this time instead of using white cardstock I have used a green patterned paper from the collection - Aster Avenue. This paper is nice and thick so perfect for cutting! 
I chose the black and white floral paper as my base, coated it in clear gesso, then used Dylusions Paint and Distress Ink to add colour to the background to match my flowers. I then added a couple of strips of patterned paper to either side of my page for contrast.

I've fussy cut the butterflies from Cocoa Vanilla Unforgettable collection - Lacewing - and used some stickers from the Midnight collection. Title is an old CVS wood veneer word from one of their very early collections - I have used a sharpie to colour it black. 

I finished the page off with some enamel dots and some stickers.

You are my Sunshine with Cocoa Vanilla Studio by Fiona Johnstone

So excited to have this collection to share over the next few weeks.  Love the new Daydream Collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio and it has been super popular so get in quick while there are some top-ups! You are my Sunshine

I adore this rainbow paper and it was the first thing I wanted to work with. I decided to cut out the rainbow then add it over the raindrops paper to create a little scene. I roughed up the edges of the rainbow so they had some dimension on the page. 

Next this cute frame was perfect for a photo, I trimmed down a photo to fit, then added some embellishments from the ephemera and sticker pack, finishing with a cute flair button. 

Love the words pack, so many combos to make the perfect title. I then added a little sun and words from the sticker pack, the little cloud from the Pebbles range toned in well to complete the scene.

Fun to be One with Pebbles Peek-a-Boo by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This week I have a cute layout to share using the adorable Pebbles Peek-A-Boo you collection. Comes in both "girl" and "boy" ranges but they work well together too.

Love this photo of my niece and her beautiful bub who just turned one and the Pebbles Collection was perfect! I love the background paper I've chose- lots of cute, baby words just perfect. I added a couple of sploshes of pink paint to mess it up a little but not enough to take away from the paper. 
Next a couple of paper layers using both the ranges and a doily. 

How cute are the stickers on the Accent Sticker sheet? Adore the little Mum & Bub deer. 
Then I've added a couple of Green Tara flowers and the cutest puffy heart from the latest Cocoa Vanilla Collection - Daydream. 
Finishing off with my title using the Rose Puffy Stickers and a smattering of enamel hearts.

Shine Bright with Simple Stories Kate & Ash by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This week I have a layout to share created with the new Kate & Ash collection  by Simple Stories.  Perfect for teenagers!

The outdoorsy feel of this paper determined my choice of Kraft Cardstock and I have added some masking of some little flowers in orange ink to break up the plainess of the Kraft. 
Next it was layer up some papers, I've added a paper from the Pebbles Peek-a-Boo boy collection as I needed some green on my page to tie in with all the green in the background of my photo. 

Embellishments are a mixture - some Kate & Ash foam and chipboard stickers, 2Crafty Chipboard butterflies and some bits and bobs from my stash. 
I love the foam thickers - perfect titles and then some journaling words from an older Simple Stories collection.

Sweet Cheeks using Pebbles Peek-A-Boo You by Kerryn Fry

Happy Friday everyone. Today I'm sharing a page that was created with  Pebbles Peek-A-Boo You.  A sweet collection with a soft colours. Another photo from the archives, a very young Master H, such a cutie!

Back to my favourite this week, Kraft Cardstock to start the page.

Some very simple & subtle stamping in the background,

using Kaisercraft Textured Stamp Gritty and gold ink.  

The patterned paper Adventure Awaits is the main paper on the page.

The 2 Crafty Kite has been given a base coat with gesso,

then painted with Bundled Sage and Fossilized Amber Distress Paint.

I've used a black pen to outline the kite.

The Cardstock Ephemera  had the perfect embellishments for the page.

The banner was adhered to the page with foam tape 

and then I'v added some faux stitching.

Love the cloud and sun,

I've outlined the cloud with faux stitching as well.

The strips at the bottom of the patterned papers

were also a fantastic addition to the page.

No hand cutting required this week. 

All of the embellishments can be found in the Cardstock Ephemera pack.

Lots of foam tape used to add layers to the page

and more outlining with black pen.

I've added a patterned paper matte to the photo 

and then outlined the photo. 

The cardstock elephant was used to frame the photo.

The heart at the bottom of the page has been add with foam tape

and the cardstock branches added a little foliage to the page.

I've used patterned paper to base the heart.

The 2 Crafty title Sweet Cheeks has been covered with gesso first

and once dry, it has been inked with Gold Ink.

Book Week with Pebbles - My Bright Life by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
Welcome to the start of another week and I've got a new collection to play with. I'm using the Pebbles My Bright Life paper pad - lots of fun papers in this pack! So to start off I have created a fun page:
Book Week

Lily went as Al the Alpaca to Book Week this year, based on the book Alpacas with Maracas. It was her last chance to dress up for book week being in Year 6!
It's not too hard to find alpaca/llama themed paper at the moment and this collection is no exception - love these cute ones. My base paper was chosed due to it's find a word, I think that ties in pretty well with the Book Week theme!

This cute guy is from another collection - Jillibean Soup - Souper Celebration. He was too cute to pass up as an embellishment! As he was quite large, I have left him on his own!

For alphas I have used the new Pinkfresh Studio The Mix No. 2 puffy stickers. Lots of colours, perfect for sub-ttiles! And of course the Awesome puffy sticker from Crate Paper. I've finished off with a little twine to add a pop more colour to the background.

Sweet Girl with Crate Paper Carousel by Fiona Johnstone

Hi Everyone
This month I've created a few layouts using the delightful Carousel collection  from Crate Paper. 
Sweet Girl

  I've tested out the new Distress Oxide Ink pads on this layout.  I've used the colour Peacock Feathers, which is a similar match to  my daughters top. I love how vibrant these colours are. 
To create my background I have stamped onto some plastic, spritzed with some  water then pressed this down onto my cardstock. Then I have added some  stamping, just stamping directly from the ink pad. Love the effect from when it hits  the drier or wetter parts of the previous ink layer. 
  I've used a long strip of paper to break up the inking and add some colour  contrast, then added a couple of layers to matt my photo. 

The cutest embellishments in this collection, once again kept subtle as I have  chosen busy paper patterns. 
I've finished off my layout with this cute title from the Girl Squad thicker set by Pebbles.
