Birthday Boy using Simple Stories Birthday Blast by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing my second page created with the collection, Simple Stories Birthday Blast. The multiple photos were taken of Mr H  on the morning of his 6th birthday. The colours in the photos were a great match for this range and even matched his present perfectly. The base is my favourite 12x12 Bazzill Kraft Cardstock. I've used primary colours of Distress Oxide Inks and the  Simple Stories Magical Birthday 6x6 Stencil to create the colourful confetti background. The 2 Crafty Stars have been covered  with Distress Paint and then once they were dry,  I've added a stitched border with a white gel pen. The smaller photos to the left  have been given a double layer of patterned papers. The first layer is the reverse side of Have a Blast paper, I've used it to highlight the red in the photos and then the reverse of Good Times paper to compliment the blue.

The paper chevrons have been punched 

from the reverse side 3x4 Elements paper,

they have been added to the page with foam tape.

I have used them to frame either side of the larger photos.

The birthday presents are a mixture of the Bits & Pieces Pack

and some are hand cut from the 3x4 Elements paper.

I've used foam tape to give them a pop.

The space rocket was also hand cut from the 3x4 Elements paper.

It has been added to the page with foam tape

and I've used Ranger Stickles Crystal Glitter Glue 

to highlight the window of the rocket.

The happy birthday was cut from the 2x2 Elements paper,

I've matted it with a scrap of black cardstock

and added some more Stickles to highlight the the letters.

The smaller paper stars on the page have been

hand cut from the Have a Blast paper.

The title for the page has been hand cut 

from the 3x4 Elements papers.

I have decorated it with Stickles Glitter Glue

and added it to the page with foam tape.

Simple but it sparkles.

This week I have another layout with the adorable Little Treasures collection by Kaisercraft.

This was a quicker layout, utilising the awesome background work on the Mothers Love patterned paper - no work required! Next I have layered up some patterned papers to frame my photo and utilised the collectables pack for the flowers and the cute bunnies!

Love these rabbits, just too cute!

I added some puffy stickers from PinkFresh studio that were the exact colour and finished off with these older foam stickers that had the perfect sentiment!

Back to School using Carta Bella School Days by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing my first page created with the collection.

Carta Bella School Days.

Mr H most recent school photo

and I absolutely love it.

A 12x12 piece of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock has been used as the base.

The background effect has been created with Antique Linen 

and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks.

I've used the inks with two different stencils,

the Echo Park Paper All Star Stencil

and a miscellaneous number stencil.

I have applied the inks in random places on the page

and overlapped the colours in some places.

The photo has been matted with Bazzill Raven Cardstock

and I've used more of the Black Cardstock for additional trims on the page.

I've used the reverse side of School Circles under the photo

to co-ordinate with the photo.

And then love the reverse side of Scattered Pencils underneath,

the multi coloured stars tie all of the papers together.

I have embellished the page with plenty of 2 Crafty chipboard

and different stickers from the 12x12 Element Stickers.

The 2 Crafty Funky Frame has been covered with Peeled Paint Distress Paint.

I have backed the frame with a journal card from the 3x4 paper. 

The 2 Crafty Smiley Face has been backed with School Cirles.

The face has been covered with Wild Honey Distress Paint

and finished with a coat of Dimensional Magic. 

I traced a scallop template on the Black Cardstock

and hand cut the trim, love the pop of black.

Most of the stickers have been added to the page 

with foam tape for dimension and depth.

The chipboard title is from the 2 Crafty School Icons pack.

I have also included a 2 Crafty 2020 for the date.

I covered the chipboard with Candied Apple Distress Paint

and once dried, finished them off with Dimensional Magic.

Summertime with Echo Park Dive into Summer by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
Todays layout is created with yet another summery collection - Echo Parks' Dive into Summer collection. This one is super cute with some fun patterns and embellishments.

For this layout I've attempted to use Vicki Boutins bubble technique for my background using distress and Dylusions ink sprays. 
Next step was to layer up some patterned papers, adding some torn pages for extra texture. 

Love the sticker embellishments, very easy to layer up around the page. I added some journaling from an older Simple Stories collection as well as the Echo Park collections Sticker book. 
My tile is another one using the foam thickers from the Simple Stories Summer Farmhouse collection.

Summertime using Kaisercraft Uncharted Waters by Kerryn Fry

Good morning Crafters!

Today I'm sharing my final page created with the collection,

Uncharted Waters by Kaisercraft.

Some older beach photos of Mr H from 2011,

enjoying his time in the water.

The base paper is Bazzill Kraft cardstock,

I've used a second sheet of Kraft cardstock to create the extra splashes.

The background effect was done with Distress Oxide

in a few different shades of blue.

Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire.

Then using the Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Splash,

I have randomly stencilled the inks across the page.

The splashes were then outlined with a white pen.

I did the same effect on the second piece of Kraft Cardstock,

then hand-cut the splashes and covered them 

with Dimensional Magic for a water finish.

Here are some close-ups of the splashes,

love the blend of colours.

The three sayings have been cut from the Shallows paper,

I've outlined each piece with a white pen

and  stuck them on the page, some added with foam tape.

The Sticker Book provided the shells and starfish.

I've used foam tape to add them to the page.

The crabs were also from the Sticker Book,

more foam tape used for a lift.

The saying was cut into pieces

and given a second layer of paper.

The small splats around the title are from  2 Crafty Splat Puddles.

They were covered with Distress Oxide Ink,

I used similar shades as I did in the background.

The final coat is Dimensional Magic.

The 2 Crafty chipboard title is from the 6x6 Summertime pack.

I've used the word Summertime and coloured it with Distress Oxide Inks

using graduated colours from light to dark.

The final coat is Dimensional Magic

Let's Explore with Simple Stories Summer Farmhouse by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
I've got a final share with the Simple Stories Summer Farmhouse.  It is such an awesome collection with all the bright fun colours.

For this page, I started with a plain white cardstock background, once I had cut all my papers and laid out the layout I decided it needed something but I didn't want to take too much away from the white space so I just added some masking through the chicken wire stencil with white texture paste. 

I've added some cute small cherryblossoms in a mix of colours to compliment the floral patterned paper. I've added some diecut leaves in white and then added some stickers with the collection 4x6 stickers and foam phrase stickers. 

For my title I have used a 2Crafty chipboard title - Let's Explore and made it two tone in pale pink and a pink red ink.

Live wild & free using Simple Stories Birthday Blast by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone! Today's page has been created with  the gorgeous and colourful collection, Simple Stories Birthday Blast. The colours are the stand out in this range and I have used some photos of Mr H from 2006 to match. He was always a very busy boy when playing outside, kept himself amused for ages. The page started with a plain piece of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock, which worked really well with the rainbow of colours. I've then cut horizontal strips of patterned paper with different widths and stuck them down on the page. I've left a peek of kraft between each strip. The photos have been backed with 3 different layers of paper to define them on the page. The Journal Bits Pack has provided the tabs and journal spots on the page. I've used foam tape to lift each of those elements to help create layers across the page.  I love the touches of silver on some of the embellishment pieces.

The Bits & Pieces Pack had all of the cool pieces,

the robot, cogs and stars.

Each of the pieces have been added to the page with foam tape.

I have hand-punched some chevrons from Raven cardstock

and added them to the page with foam tape.

The pop of black ties in with the title 

and works well with the bright colours. 

I have hand-cut some planets and rocket ships from Have a Blast.

Each piece has been added with foam tape.

Then using a black gel pen, I've added a fake stitched

border to some of the papers strips.

The 2 Crafty Phrase stick Create your own sunshine

has been given a base coat of white gesso.

Once dry, I have added layers of Mustard Seed Distress Oxide.

I love how the gesso has sat in the engraved words

and helps to highlight each letter.

The 2 Crafty title Live wild & free has been covered with black ink

and describes Mr H perfectly.

Hello everyone
Today I have this super cute page using Kaisercraft Little Treasures starring  my great niece. 
Follow your Dreams, Little One, They Know the Way

  Love this cute photo, hopefully you can tell they are hot air ballons in the background! With those in mind I decided I wanted to do a big hot air balloon with my Silhoutte Cameo and team it up with the gorgeous colours in the Kaisercraft Little Treasures collection.   

Once I had backed the Hot Air Balloon with the Patterned Paper I created my background. I traced around the Hot Air Balloon onto some regular white paper and used it as a reverse mask. Then I got some acrylic paint, watered it down and made splatters around the edge of the Hot Air Balloon outline. 

I layered up some patterned papers under my photo and tucked that under the Hot Air Balloon. Next step was to hit the ephemera pack for the perfect embellishments. Love the flowers and the cute circle quote, over the photo to try and block out some of the people in the background. I've added a little enamel flower - very old Kaisercraft from my stash. 

I've used the ephemera to create my title at the bottom right of the page to finish my layout.
