Unforgettable memories using Simple Stories Heart by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing another page created  with the gorgeous collection, Simple Stories Heart. This time, I've managed to adapt the collection for my latest snow page. The photo is a beautiful moment of my mum, aka G'ma and a younger Mr 15. The colours were a great match to the papers This was our first trip to the Victoria Snowfields and we all had a ball. The page started with the usual Kraft cardstock. Then using a Simple Stories snowflake stencil and a few Distress Oxide Inks, I've built up the colours in the background. I have marked the photo placement on the cardstock with pencil and then started stenciling with Brillaince white ink and a sponge. Once the ink was dry, I've added layers in Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide,  Evergreen Bough and Scattered Straw.

  

The next layer was created with Kaisercraft Texture Stamp - Painted Splatter

Scattered Straw Distress Oxide and Gold Brilliance Ink.

I've randomly stamped on the outer edge of the stenciled snowflakes.

There are 3 different types of 2 Crafty snowflakes on the page.

The 2 Crafty Linear Snowflakes have been covered

with Gold Brilliance Ink and the centre decorated with Diamond Stickles.

The 2 Crafty St Nicks Snowflakes has been base-coated with Gesso

and then coloured with white Brilliance ink. 

The third snowflake are the 2 Crafty Funky Snowflake was also 

covered with gesso and Diamond Stickles.

I've used the Sticker Sheet and Cardstock stickers to embellish the page.

The heart stickers and words were added to the journal spot to create a cluster.

I've hand punched a few more snowflakes from patterned paper

and added them to the snowflake centres.

The Cardstock gold hearts were the final touch to the page.

The title was created from 2 Crafty Unforgettable

and a word sticker from the sheet.

The chipboard title has been covered with gold ink.
