"Turning 1", by Amanda H

Hi again,

Welcome to my final page for October and it is a cute and phunny one!
I used the new Doodlebug Designs So Much Pun collection.
With so many photos of my niece eating cake, I created this multi-photo layout which was complimented perfectly with these papers and stickers.

For the background, I used the Sweet Stuff paper from the collection.

For the panel of photos, I used some white cardstock.
I inked the edges and did some pink machine stitching.

I cut two squares from the So Much Pun paper - "It's gonna be o-cake" and "warm wishes" and placed them above and below the photos.

The page is finished with a big range of the stickers from Icon Too sticker pack - loads of sweets, lollies and candles made it perfect.

For the title, I used the sweet pale blue Pinkfresh puffy alphabet letters.

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Beautiful Memories with Pinkfresh Studios Indigo Hills 2 by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back today with another layout created with the stunning Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2:

Beautiful Memories
For this layout, I started by fussy-cutting the beautiful flowers on the Glen paper. Then I picked some of the matching papers to create some layers behind my photo, adding a doily to add to the softness.  As there was a lot of white, I added some pink paint, applied with the plastic bag technique and some extra splashes, to create a subtle background without taking away from the white space.
I've used the beautiful ephemera packet again to embellish my layout and the title is a mix of the Mini Puffy stickers and the puffy stickers from Pinkfresh Simple & Sweet collection.
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Trick or Treat using Echo Park Paper Hocus Pocus by Kerryn Fry

Good morning AAS Fans!
Today I have created a page using the awesome collection,
Echo Park Paper Hocus Pocus
We have always enjoyed celebrating Halloween in the past,
but now that Mr 14 is getting older, he is not so keen!
Lucky for me, I still have plenty of photos from previous years to scrap.

The page was started with the smooth side of the Bazzill White Cardstock.
Using my messy mat and some water, I have added Distress Oxides in
Wilted Violet, Spiced Marmalade and Hickory Smoke to the cardstock in layers.
Making sure to dry with a heat gun between each colour.
I have stencilled the cobweb with a Tim Holtz Layered Stencil and the Hickory Smoke Oxide
and the edges of the cardstock have been covered with Black Soot Distress Oxide

There was plenty of fussy cutting that followed for different elements.
Using Halloween Hats and the reverse of the 3x4 Journaling card papers,
I have cut out little skeletons and ghost to spread across the page.
All elements were mounted on foam tape to create different layers.
I have used the 2 Crafty Eerie Tree to frame the left side of the photo
and be the support for the Tombstone

I have hand cut the 'Trick or Treat' title from the 4x4 Journaling sheet.
With a knife, I have cut out sections of the web for a better effect
and then mounted it on black cardstock to give it a bit more pop.

The 2 Crafty chipboard was fun to decorate.
Using a makeup sponge, I have added colours to the Spooky Owl piece,
the ghost, tombstone and bat.
I used a white Sharpie pen to add the letters eyes to the chipboard.
Once the chipboard was dry, the moon on the Spooky Owl got a little Stickles
and the owl and little bat got a coat of Glossy Accents.
The Sticker Sheet added the finishing touches.

I think that's everything.
Thank you for visiting us today
Happy Creating and please check back on Monday for
Fiona's next project.

"The last of the Sunshine", by Amanda H

Hi all,

Armed with some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks, some new Darkroom door stamps, I was
inspired to create this beachy page.
As much as I love mixed media products, I can never hide my love for patterned paper.
That's why I had so much fun combining both for this page.

This page consists of a few key features:
stamping,
distress oxide and colour paste background
and layering together with a few key embellishments

I had saved a few papers from the awesome Prima St Tropez collection. I started this page by stamping: I stamped the  Darkroom Door - Collage Stamp - Arty Circles onto the soft mint back side of the La Fontanette paper. Then I painstakingly hand cut each circle. I set them aside to embellish with later.

Next I created the background on a sheet of white cardstock. I smooshed some Tim Holtz - Distress Oxide Ink Pad - Faded Jeans onto my messy mat, sprayed it with water and pressed the white cardstock into it. With a bit of extra ink, I added a few splatters and extra colour. I also used the ink to colour a rectangle of white cardstock, which I used as a photo mount.

Once it was dry, I added a layer of Colour Paste in Snow White through a Kaisercraft stencil. And lastly a few splatters of black Roadbase Colour Spray.

Here is a close up of the background work.

Now it was time to assemble my page.

Along the top and bottom of the page, I layered some Boardwalk paper, as well as using some as a paper mount behind the photo.

I also repeated some strips of the Prima La Fontanette paper across the page.

With those cute stamped circles, I scatter them across the page, putting some on foam tape for some dimension.

In this main cluster with title, I started with an awesome 2 Crafty Dream catcher. I used Tim Holtz - Distress Oxide Ink Pad - Faded Jeans to colour it blue. I layered more of the Boardwalk paper behind the circle of the dreamcatcher.

Finally I added some messy thread, stamped circles and stickers - a butterfly from the St Tropez puffy stickers, and a black puffy hearts from Bella Blvd.

For the title, I combined some small black Webster's letters with the "Sunshine" puffy word sticker from the St Tropez pack.

I repeated another cluster in the top right corner of the photo too.

Thanks for looking,

Amanda

Amazing View using
Pinkfresh Indigo Hills 2
by Fiona Johnstone

Hi everyone, welcome to a new week.
Today I have been creating with the new and very popular Indigo Hills 2 collection from
Pinkfresh Studio, which was perfect for my photo of my girls.

I couldn't go past the Mesa Paper for my background, with it's beautiful watercolour
leaves which added a soft and subtle backdrop to the layout.
Using the Valley Paper, I added a small matt around my photo, tying in the blue tones,
before using the coordinating Ephemera Pack and Phrase Sticker Sheet
 to embellish the page.
The Ephemera had a huge choice of elements to use and from the flower sprays to the little journaling pieces I was able to use quite a few on the page.

To the phrase pieces, I have added some hand stitching to add a little extra finishing
touch and used the gorgeous Mini Puffy Alphabets for my Amazing View title.

Up to Snow Good using Kaisercraft Wonderland by Kerryn Fry

Good morning All.
Today I'm sharing my first page created with the new collection,
Kaisercraft Wonderland.
Although this is a Christmas collection,
I have got creative and used it for this year's snow photos.
Mr 14 hitting the toboggan tracks.
Starting with a kraft cardstock base,
I have stenciled some snowflakes with white ink.
I have added paper layers under the photo, punched out some tags and
built embellishment cluster on both sides of the photo.

Having collected a number of snowflake dies over time,
including the Kaisercraft Fancy Snowflake, I have used white cardstock to
diecut a variety of different snowflakes to add to the page.
The 2 Crafty Fernlike Snowflakes were given a base of white ink,
and then given a thick coat of Stickles Glitter Glue.

I have used glitter glue to highlight the snowflakes
and background paper to give plenty of sparkle.
Love the pop of green from the glitter glue.

The Wonderland Collectables were a great addition to the page
and worked well with the photo.
I've also hand-cut some trees from the patterned paper to add to the clusters.

The 2 Crafty title has been given a two-tone finish with glitter glue
and then coated with Dimensional Magic.
The sparkle is amazing!

Thanks for visiting the blog today,
I hope your weekend is a creative one.
Please join us again on Monday to see Fiona's next page.

"Together", by Amanda

Hi AAS fans,

Today I am sharing an elegant and pretty page using the new collection
from My Minds Eye: Gal meets Glam.
I love how the pinks, teals, blacks and whites combine with touches of gold.
I used this range to scrap a photo of my sister and I.

For the base of the layout, I combined two papers:
Loving It Gold Foil Paper
and Lip Service Gold Foil Paper - I love the gold foil in these papers.

Stacked behind the photo, I layered many papers - I used the 6x6 paper pad.
I also cut one sheet of hot pink into a strip behind.

Along the base of the photo, I added some muslin from my stash. Then I added some awesome brads and flags from the MME - Gal Meets Glam Decorative Brads pack.

I also added a Kaisercraft black paper flower to the row of brads and flags.

For the title, I used "together" from 2Crafty Mini words pack - and I heat embossed it in gold - perfect match to the papers!
Thanks so much for looking today!
Amanda

Wild @ Heart with CVS More Than Words by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I'm playing with some CVS More than Words - while I wait to get their latest collection Midnight which is in the shop now!

A fun, beachy page of my youngest playing in the waves - fully clothed because it wasn't swimming weather, or so I thought!

Wild at Heart

I adore the subtle watercolour  on this paper and it makes the perfect ready to go background.  I have mounted this onto the blue spotty paper to give it a colour boost. Then I have used more of the spotty paper on the page alongside the peachy sketchbook paper (which is the reverse of the floral background).

I've used the pretty flowers from the More than Words ephemera pack to embellish my layout and also a selection of wood veneer mini words from Kaisercraft, some Simple Stories and Pinkfresh stickers.

I've used the CVS Wild at Heart wood veneer words to create my title:
