Captivating using Simple Stories Boho Baby By Kerryn Fry
Hello Crafters!
I'm starting this month off
with the new collection, Simple Stories Boho Baby
There are gorgeous colours in this range
that matched beautifully with
this photo of my Great-Niece.
A simple layout this week starting with a
clean 12x12 sheet of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.
I've created three small embellishment clusters
across the page to frame the photo.
The top right corner is stickers
form the 12x12 Element Sticker sheet.
I've used foam tape to lift some of the elements.
The main scrapbook papers have been
outlined with a black gel pen and fake stitch lines.
The photo has been matted with two
different scrapbook papers, Hello World
and the reverse side of Tiny Miracle.
For the cluster to the left of the photo,
I've hand cut a row of rainbows from Tiny Miracle.
The journal spot is from the Journal Elements paper
and the word stickers & hearts
are from the Cardstock Sticker Sheet.
The third embellishment cluster starts with
another journal spot from the Journal Elements Sheet.
Then more stickers from the Cardstock Sticker Sheet.
The flowers, mushroom and camera
have all been lifted with foam tape.
The 2 Crafty title Captivating
has been covered with gold ink
to tie in with the yellow in the collection.
Thank you for visiting the blog today.
I hope you have enjoyed the page.
Have a fabulous weekend
and please join us again on Monday.

Happy Little Moments with Vicki Boutin Fernwood by Fiona Johnstone
I teamed it up with a dark background and used some small 3x4 photos before adding
some embellishments. I love how it frames the photos.
up with some of the word stickers from the Sticker Book finish it off nicely.
small and to stick with the green tones. There is a little gold on the title so I carried that
into my other clusters with the small gold hearts.

Together using Carta Bella Sunflower Market by Kerryn Fry
The page started with the fabulous, amazingly sturdy
I cannot recommend this paper enough
for wet mixed media background effects.
I planned the layout of the page first,
cut the patterned papers to fit and then put them aside.
Using plastic packaging, water and Distress Oxide Inks
Pine Needles and Evergreen Bough.
the background came together.
Using the darker Pine Needles closer to the papers
and then Evergreen Bough to soften the edges.
The background was thoroughly dried using a heat gun,
then I have used the Tsukineko All Purpose Vegas Gold Ink,
and a sponge to apply the ink to the background.
At the top of the page I have used a
3x4 Journaling Card, a few strips of patterned papers,
The frame of a 6x4 journal card used for the title,
some hand-cut flowers from Sunny
and a Tag for the Frames & Tags pack.
To the right of the photos,
I have added the larger 'Welcome Home' tag,
but covered the words with the 'Gather' tag
that I have hand-cut to the shape of the word.
There are some bees hand-cut from Busy Buzzing paper
and more flowers from the Sunny paper.
Under the tag and flower cluster,
I have added the remaining piece of the
floral frame from the layout last week.
The journal spot was created from a
6x4 Journal card and add under the photo.
I've used layers of foam tape to lift most elements.
Then using a black pen I have added borders
to some elements and paper pieces.
The small flower bunches were cut
from the 6x4 Journal Card that I've used for the title.
I've used foam tape to lift the flowers
to create more dimension on the page.
Above the photos, I have created a small cluster
and built a sub-title for the page.
More bees cut from the Busy Buzzing paper
and the words were cut from a
6x4 Journal Card and 3x4 Journal Card.
All raised with foam tape.
The main title of the page has been
cut from a 6x4 Journal Card.
It has been lifted with foam tape and is sitting on
a 2 Crafty Floral Banner covered with Gold Ink.
To finish the page, I've watered down
some Tsukineko All Purpose Ink Vegas Gold
and flicked some splashes across the page.
Once the page was completed,
I did lightly spray the back of the Foundations Paper
and 'flattened' it with some heavy weights
It worked beautifully!
Thank you for visiting the blog today.
I hope the page has inspired you and given you a giggle.
Enjoy your weekend, make some time for yourself
and join us again on Monday.

Ice Cream Bliss with Echo Park My Favourite Easter by Fiona Johnstone
I love the gorgeous spring vibe to these patterned papers - lots of pastels and flowers, perfect for outdoors and colourful photos. For this page, I wanted to focus on the joy my neice had eating ice-cream so have used a plain white cardstock background but given it a floral border and then added some faux stitching with a sharpie.
I've gone with a simple paper layering, including some paper banners before doing some dainty embellishments using Green Tara flowers and CVS stickers.
I've finished the page with a cute little side banner with an icecream sundae sticker from my stash, some VB stickers and my title with the CVS Puffy stickers:

We Are Family using Carta Bella Sunflower Market by Kerryn Fry
Hi everyone!
Today I've created a page using the collection
The family photos were taken in October 2014
while we were on holidays in Mount Gambier.
On this particular day, we went for a drive
down to the beautiful town of Port Macdonnell.
The page has started with a
Bazzill Kraft Cardstock base.
The main paper layer across
the top section of the page
is the reverse side of Baking Bash
with a little sparkle of Ranger Stickles Glitter glue
added to a small part of the pattern.
In the top right corner of the page
I have used two frames from the
Frames & Tags pack to create this small cluster.
The 'Together' is the centre piece of one frame
and the floral piece has been cut from another frame.
I have outlined the floral piece with a Black gel pen
The bottom section of the Kraft cardstock
has been coloured with Distress Oxide Ink.
I've used Oxide Ink to sit better & brighter
on the Kraft cardstock.
I have planned the layout of the papers
and then used a pencil to mark out
where the papers would finished.
Then using a blending tool, I have added
Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide
to shadow behind the patterned papers.
I have fussy cut different flowers
from the Sunny paper and used them
to build the cluster across the bottom of the photos.
I have raised most of the flowers
with foam tape to create layers within the cluster.
The 2 Crafty Flowers (Set 1) were covered
Once dry, I've then added a coat of
Dimensional Magic to each flower.
I've used some of the hand-cut flowers
to add centres to the 2 Crafty Flowers.
More of the tags from the Frame & Tags Pack
were used for the left side of the photos.
The journal spot is another frame
backed with a scrap of white cardstock.
The 'We are Family' tag forms the title
and has been lifted with foam tape.
Some hand-cut flowers have been used to
embellish around the journal spot.
Thank you for visiting the AAS Blog today.
I hope you have enjoyed the process of the page,
I love the finished project and
how well the colours came together.
Have a great weekend,
make some time to relax and craft.
Please join us again on Monday
for Fiona's next project.

Hugs and Kisses with Echo Parks My Favourite Easter by Fiona Johnstone
from Echo Park - My Favourite Easter. My layout:
As you can see, it is not Easter themed at all. Instead I have used the B sides of the papers which gives these gorgeous florals and lovely pastel patterned papers. I have started with a simple distress oxide ink background, using the plastic bag technique and some reverse stencil stamping in the same colour.

Happiness is this using Simple Stories Simple Vintage Country Harvest by Kerryn Fry
The page started with a 12x12 piece of
The best paper for wet background effects.
I've used Distress Oxide Inks, Spiced Marmalade
and Peeled Paint with water to colour the background.
Drying in between layers and adding the water
effect when I was happy with the strength of the colours.
The final layer to the background
is some gold ink splashes.
Once the background was dry
and flattened under some weight,
I have added the gold ink to the background
I have used the 2 Crafty Dianne Doilies
to add a pop of colour on the page by
covering them with Peacock Feathers Distress Paint.
The edges of the doilies have been highlighted with gold ink
and then a gold pen to add a fake stitch line to the doilies.
The small butterflies have been hand-cut
from the Nature's World paper.
I've added them to the page with
glue applied to the centre of each
butterfly to keep the wings free.
The chipboard elements added some
dimension to the clusters on the page.
The 'And All at Once' piece and
heart with string ribbon were
added to the bottom right corner of the photo.
The the left side of the photo I've added
a hand-cut floral piece from the 4x6 Elements Paper.
I've used foam tape to lift the piece and
added a larger chipboard butterfly to the top section
and a chipboard sentiment 'Sweet Autumn'.
The 2 Crafty Bracket Frame has been
cut in half and covered with gold ink.
I've used it to frame the floral piece
by adding a bracket piece top and bottom.
I've used a 2 Crafty 6x4 Phrase Stick for the title.
From Set 5, the words Happiness is this
has been covered with Peeled Paint Distress Paint.
Once dry, I have added gold ink to the edges of the stick.
Then using a gold pen, I have outlined each letter on the stick.
I had loads of fun with this page, especially the background.
Thank you for visiting the blog today,
I hope you have enjoyed the process of the page.
Have a great weekend, make some time to relax and craft.
