One Day at a Time with Pinkfresh Studio Let your Heart Decide by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This week I am playing with Pinkfresh Studios Let your Heart Decide.
Gorgeous colours and designs in this range with some super cool embellishments.

One Day at at Time

I've used the darker orange parts of the Instinct paper and paired it up with the floral impulse paper to create my background, then I have layered up some of the other papers and a doily around my photo.

This collection has lots of embellishments, including some very cool leatherette stickers. I teamed them up with a few other embellishments from Pinkfresh Studio Escape the Ordinary and Jillibean Soup Farmhouse Stew.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Live every day with intention using Jillibean Soup 2 Cool for School by Kerryn Fry

Good morning Crafters
Today I'm sharing my first page created using the
new Jillibean Soup collection 2 Cool For School.
A colourful, masculine range, perfect for Mr very nearly 14.
The photos were taken last weekend, our teenager doing what he loves.

This week I have gone back to my favourite cardstock.
But I decided to leave the Kraft cardstock plain
and let the gorgeous colours shine.
I did add a doodled border around the edge of the patterned papers.

The 2 Crafty Skull has been covered with black ink,
I have then outlined the edges using a Metallic Gel Pen.
I have built the embellishment cluster at the base of the photo using the cogs from the die cut pack,
they have been layered up using foam tape.

The cluster at the top has been created with tags punched from the patterned paper,
some more pieces from the Die Cut pack  and Cardstock Stickers.
I have punched some chevrons from Black Cardstock
to coordinate with the patterned paper Wild Child.

I have used a Die Cut for a journal spot, love the hexagons!
The Cardstock stickers are the perfect addition for the stars, date and words.
I have cut the sentiment from the Bite Size Bits.

The 2 Crafty title Live everyday with intention has been covered with black ink.
I have only outlined the main word 'Live' with the gel pen for effect.

Hope you like the page this week.
This collection is fabulous, so I'm sure you will see more of it later this month.
Thank you for visiting the blog today, have a wonderful weekend
and join us again on Monday for Fiona's next page.

"Fabulous Summer" by Amanda H

Hi again,

Just as it gets colder, here is a summer inspired page using the new Island Escape collection from Bella Blvd. It is awesome and bright and tropical and matched the photo of the girls in the pool with the flamingo!

Here is the page, close ups and the product list.

I combined some bright papers in the range, with lots of the fun stickers.

The background papers are: Good Vibes and Moonlit Kisses. I love the deep blue and turquoise colours in these papers. I was also able to use a panel of the floral design from the Moonlit Kisses paper as a feature behind the photo.

To finish I added stickers and the title.

Across the base of the layout, over the bottom photo edge, I layered a paper strip, stickers and used it to house my title.

And check out the title! I started with one of the Bella Blvd acrylic words - and really, there is only one word for these: FABULOUS!. I teamed this up with a 2 Crafty Summer Line word (which I had ink in mint/aqua).

Lots of stickers  and a journal spot... I even found an old puffy sticker from my stash and it was a perfect match!

And even more stickers in the top corner of the photo!

 Thanks for looking today!
Amanda

Rad with MME Good Vibes by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have a fun page created with My Minds Eye's Good Vibes collection. Love this one, bright and fun, especially for kids photos.

Rad

I love the super busy paper with all it's cool images, perfect for my tween.  I gave the paper a bit of a crazy angle and mounted it to the star paper to make it funky!

Then I chose some of the more neutral patterns to create my paper layers.
The puffy stickers are the coolest and make the perfect embellishments as the sit off the page helping them to stand out against the busy patterns in the paper. I've combined these with some of the cardstock stickers to mix my textures.

Be sure to check out this fun range! Thanks for stopping by

No Photos Please using Pinkfresh Studios A Case of the Blahs by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!
May the Fourth be with you..(sorry couldn't resist)
A new month would normally mean a different collection to showcase,
but I couldn't help squeezing one more page from the awesome collection,
Pinkfresh Studios A Case of the Blahs.
Mr almost 14 being not so cooperative!
Shock horror, there is no kraft cardstock to be seen.
I did originally start with white cardstock, some stencils and Distress Ink,
but it didn't really stand out very well, it looked too pale.
So that idea was scrapped and I substituted the white for Black Cardstock.
A very simple background effect, white gesso and a 6x6 Crafters Workshop template.
It looked so much better.
The Cardstock Stickers, Chipboard Stickers and Ephemera Die Cuts
were again fabulous accessories for the page.
I've used double-sided foam tape to create some layers
and dimension in each of the embellishment cluster.
The 2 Crafty Bubble Grid Panel was covered black Distress Paint
For extra highlights, I've swiped the chipboard with bronze metallic rub.

The 2 Crafty Date Plate has been covered with Distress Paint.
I've used the Cardstock Stickers to add the date.

The 2 Crafty title No Photos Please was just perfect for the photo.
I've painted with Hickory Smoke Distress Paint and once dry,
I have outlined the letters using a white Sharpie Pen.

That's all from me today.
Thank you for visiting the blog today.
Have a great weekend and remember to check back on Monday
for Fiona's next project.

"Happy adventure", by Amanda H

Hi everyone,

Welcome to May! Today I am sharing a page using the awesome
Wander Collection, by My Minds Eye.
Designed for travel and outdoor pages, the colour tones and accessories are perfect!
I went with a travel photo!

Here is the page, some close ups as well as the full product list.

I started with a white cardstock base and also mounted my two photos with the cardstock.

Then I took two of the papers from the Wander collection, and layered them.
I used a distress tool on their edges.

For the central photo cluster, I built a base of patterned papers using sheets from the
MME - Wander 6x6 Paper Pad, also distressing the edges.

I finished with 2 Crafty chipboard, stickers and enamel dots.

I used the circle chipboard elements on the page as a feature.
The circles were inked dark blue, before having a light spray of Colour Blast Shimmer Spray in Envy (everything looks better with sparkle!). I also adhered patterned papers under each circle.

The chipboard chevrons and arrows I coloured in a light mint. I inked them with a soft mint, before also giving them a spray of Colour Blast Shimmer Spray in Envy.
Again I adhered some patterned papers under the some of the chevrons.

MME - Wander Enamel Dots  - perfect little touches!

Finally, I splattered white spray and tucked some messy muslin pieces amongst the clusters.

If you have travel or even outdoor photos, this range might be just right for you.

Thanks for looking today.

Summer Break with Bella Blvd Island Escape by Fiona Johnstone

Hello Everyone

Wow the end of another month already, this year is flying by!! Today I am sharing a layout from Summer, even though we have been super lucky to have what has been an extended summer this year! Love it!

Today's layout is created with Bella Blvd Island Escape collection:

Summer Break
I've used the chipboard stickers and cardstock stickers from the collection as my main embellishments - love the dimension the chipboard gives.
I've mixed this up with some old stickers from my stash, some Green Tara flowers and some Kaisercraft wood veneer.

Title is from the Chipboard stickers, I love that the letters weren't all joined allowing me to shape them around the doily.
A close-up of all the clusters:

What a difference using Bella Blvd Pop Quiz by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone!
Today I'm sharing a page created using the fabulous school collection,
Every year, like many others, I like to take a photo of
Mr 13 in his school uniform.
When comparing this year with last year's photo,
I was gobsmacked and a little sad to see how much our boy had changed,
or should I say grown up.

The colours in this collection are amazing and bright, which I love!
So I kept the Kraft cardstock background reasonably soft.
Using 6x6 Crafters Workshop Templates, a cheapie hexagon stencil
and 3 Distress Inks, I have added some colour to the cardstock.
Mermaid Lagoon, Ripe Persimmon and Black Soot worked well with the papers.

The Ephemera Pack had some great pieces to build the clusters on the page.
I have used scrap cardboard and foam squares to define the different layers.
The 2 Crafty Chevrons Bits were given a few coats of Distress Paint Candied Apple
to balance the pop of red in the lockers.

Love the 2 Crafty Sun!
Using just the rays of the sun to create a spot for the journalling.
The sun has been painted with Distress Paint Fossilized Amber and
then added a touch of Ripe Persimmon.
The photos have been matted with Black Cardstock to add another layer.
I have used a black pen to doodled some faux stitching.

I have fussy cut the hexagon shapes from one of the patterned papers
and lifted the with foam squares.
This cluster has been created from elements in the Ephemera Pack.

The title has been created using foam Thickers from my stash.
The 2 Crafty Mini Camera has been painted with Distress Paint Hickory Smoke.
The date stamped with Ranger Archival Ink.

That's my page for this week.
Thanks for visiting the blog today and I hope your have a great weekend.
Please check back on Monday for Fiona's next project.
