Cherished Moments using Simple Stories Simple Vintage Weathered Garden by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!This week I have started creating with the collection,Simple Stories Simple Vintage Weathered Garden.The photo is a beautiful close-up snapof my Great-Niece taken in 2015.
The base paper is Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.I've used a blending tool and Distress Inks Crushed Olive and Forest Moss to colour the background.The next layer is a quick spritz of water and then mopped up with paper towel for a mottled finish.
The final layer on the background is the Echo Park First Day of School 6x6 stenciland gold ink pad for a lighter finish.

I've added the patterned papers, layering the torn edgesand using foam tape for the striped paper.
The cardstock sticker 'My Heart'has also been lifted with foam tape.
I've used a gold pen to outline some of the papersto highlight different layers and bring together thebackground and chipboard elements.

The photo has also been outlined goldfor clear definition amongst the paper layers.I've also roughly outlined one of the photo mats under the photo.

The embellishments on the top right cornerof the photo are from the Cardstock Sticker Sheet.Both pieces have been lifted with foam tape.

The embellishment cluster to the left of the 

photo is a combination of a journal element

and stickers from the Cardstock Sticker Sheet.

I've used foam tape on some elements.

The 2 Crafty Anthea Butterflies have 

been covered with gold ink and used as 

a background for the butterfly sticker.

The small hearts are also from the 

Cardstock Sticker Sheet added with foam tape.

To the right of the photo, I've used another

larger 2 Crafty Anthea Butterfly frame,

covered with gold ink.

The next layer is a hand cut butterfly from 

the reverse side of Memories Made Paper.

The small butterfly, heart and log 

are all stickers from the Cardstock Sticker Sheet.

They have been added with foam tape.

The 2 Crafty title Cherished Moments

has been covered with gold ink

and the sticker 'Hello Beautiful' on the photo

has been lifted with foam tape.

Happy Days with Simple Stories Simply Vintage Indigo Garden by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This week I have another page to share with the beautiful Simple Stories Simply Vintage Indigo Garden collection:
Happy Days

I love this floral frame paper and chose this as the focus of my page. I have trimmed the paper slightly and mounted it onto some navy cardstock. 
Next step was to add some paper behind my photo and cut up one of the small frames to give me a slightly bigger frame around my photo. The gaps I covered in embellishments. 

For some added texture I found these stunning lace pieces by Uniquely Creative - they have a few different styles here. So pretty!

Around the frame I have added some beautiful flowers to co-ordinate with the flowers on the background paper aswell as some co-ordinating ephemera from the Simply Vintage Indigo Garden collection. I've used the round chipboard shape from the Chipboard Stickers sheet for my title. 

I've finished off the page with some fussy cut butterflies from the patterned papers:

Say Cheese using Carta Bella Believe In Magic by Kerryn fry

Morning all.Today I've created a fun page usingCarta Bella Believe In Magic.The photos of my Niece & Nephew were takenin July 2014 while on holidays in Brisbane.Love the way they interact.

The base is 12x12 Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.

I've added some random highlights to 

the background with the Crafters Workshop 

6x6 Mini Tiny Dots Stencil

and gold ink from my stash.

I've used the Bazzill Raven Cardstock

to matt the photos and the 4x4 Journal card.

The photos have been lifted with

foam tape to add dimension to the page.

I've used a corner rounder punch

on some of the paper layers for a softer touch.

The speech bubbles have been hand cut

from the Fun Day Phrases paper.

I've outlined two of them with a black pen

and lifted them all with foam tape.

The 'Hello' word and stars are 

from the Element Sticker Sheet

The small journal spot has

been cut from a 4x4 Journal Card

and outlined with a black pen.

The main embellishment cluster

at the bottom right corner of the photos,

has been built with a 4x4 Journal card

and stickers from the Element Sticker Sheet.

The journal card has been outlined

with a faux stitch line, using a black pen.

The camera and some of the stars 

have been raised with foam tape.

The black lines with small stars

is also a sticker from the sheet.

Different papers have also been 

outlined with a black pen.

The title of the page is a sticker

from the Element Sticker sheet

lifted with foam tape.

Bloom Beautiful with Simple Stories Simply Vintage Garden by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This week I am back with the Simple Story Vintage Garden collection to share this
page of my girls. I have gone with the Blues and Pinks from the range for this page:
Bloom Beautiful 

I just love these frames Simple Stories have been doing lately and they are the
perfect embellishment to take centre stage on your layout. I have used two 3x4 photos
behind the frame - you could also break up a 6x4 using this frame. 

Once I had the frame all picked I then layered up some patterned papers behind
it then added some simple embellishments to either side of the frame. 
I added a smattering of hearts to the plain white cardstock using Distress Oxide Ink
and a VB stencil. 

I then used a piece of ephemera for my title:

I finished off the page with some fussy cut butterflies from the Grace & Beauty paper.

Shine using Simple Stories Boho Baby by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!Today's page has been created with my remaining pieces of the collection Simple Stories Boho BabySome gorgeous photos of my Niece and my Great-Niece at her 1st birthday party.

The base of the page is a 12x12 

sheet of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.

Using some white ink and the Crafters Workshop 

6x6 Mini Tiny Circles stencil, I have 

added some interest to the background.

It is subtle, but works really well.

The two main patterned papers on the page

have been given a little sparkle 

using Stickles Glitter Glue.

The whites of the rainbows

on the Tiny Miracles paper

and the centre dots in the diamonds

on the reverse side of Dreams Big paper.

At the top left of the page,

I've added the two banners and two stars

from the 12x12 Element Sticker Sheet.

Each banner & star has been lifted

with foam tape to create dimension.

To the right of the photos

I've added the 'Little One' shelf 

and 'Play All Day' words from the 

12x12 Element Sticker Sheet.

I've added Stickles Glitter Glue to 

highlight different features on the stickers.

At the bottom of the page I've 

created an embellishment cluster with 

layers of patterned papers and stickers.

The journal spot has been cut from

the Journal Elements paper.

The teepee, mobile and shoes are all

from the 12x12 Element Sticker Sheet.

I've highlighted the dots on the teepee

with Stickles for a little sparkle.

The words 'little wild child' is

also from the 12x12 Sticker sheet.

The 'you make me happy' sticker

is from Cocoa Vanilla stash.

The title has been created with 

2 Crafty Fine Word Set 2 - Shine.

I've base coated the chipboard with

a layer of white ink.

Once dry, I have added a coat of

Ranger Stickles Glitter Glue.

This collection is beautiful,

love the end result.

Little Miss with Simple Stories Boho Baby by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
Back with another layout using the Boho Baby collection from Simple Stories - love it so much! It is so nice to see these different colours rather than just the traditional pastel baby colours in a baby collection.

For this layout I have focused on the browns and yellows in the collection, adding just a touch of pink with my alphas. I love a banner so this week I've added a couple of banners and then used a larger piece to matte my photo, adding a wide edge to fit my Sunshine banner. 
I've popped a white doily underneath which gave me a nice circle to make my curved title. I've left the background white so the title stands out, but added a black border with a sharpie to tie the page together. 

I've embellished with the sticker sheet - I love how much you get in these sheets - phrases, shapes, stars, flowers - they are jam-packed! I added some stars from the Rainbow Bits * Pieces pack and also used the tags from the Tags paper:

Just Be You using Carta Bella Believe In Magic by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone!

My page today has been created with 

the collection Carta Bella Believe In Magic.

The B&W photos of Mr H were taken

 almost 17 years ago at his friend's birthday party.

I sometimes forget how small he was

and he was such a cutie! Still is.

He was happily playing with a large bulldozer, 

fascinated with all the moving parts.

The base is a 12x12 sheet 

of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.

I've layered the patterned papers and 

alternated the colours and patterns.

I've used a black gel pen to outline

the main patterned paper top & bottom edges

and outline the yellow stars paper for a little pop.

The top right corner of the page

has been embellished with stickers

from the Element Sticker sheet and foam tape.

At the bottom left corner of the photos,

I have created an embellishment cluster using 

a combination of Carta Bella Believe in Magic elements

and Echo Park Play All Day elements.

The journal card was cut from 4x4 Journaling Cards paper.

I've added the journal card to Bazzill Raven Cardstock

to clearly define the edges of the card

and lifted it with foam tape.

The 'Fun' sticker and small stars

are all from the Element Sticker Sheet

and have been lifted with foam tape.

The words 'One Cook Kid' are

cut from the Play All Day Collection.

I've backed each word with cardstock

and lifted each word with foam.

The vehicles and tag are from the 

Play All Day Sticker Sheet.

The smaller word stickers are

from the Believe in Magic Sticker Sheet.

The word 'Awesome' is from the 

2 Crafty Mini Word Set 4.

I've covered it with black ink

and added it to the vehicle sticker.

The 2 Crafty title Just Be You

has been covered black ink

and lifted with foam tape.

I've used a white gel pen to lightly

 outline the word 'You' in the title.

A fun page, capturing some

beautiful memories.

Little Wild Flower with Simple Stories Boho Baby by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
I have another page to share with the stunning Simple Stories Boho collection, loving the earthy colours:
Little Wild Flower

I based this layout design on the tag and cute photos. I've used the darker paper as a large piece to match the brown of the tag, then I have added softer pinks to the page and some contrast with the stripey paper. 
I added a little stamping to the back to bring in a little more yellow to my page with some distress ink and a VB stencil. 

Embellishments used are the sticker book and the rainbow bits, so cute! I've also added a cute puffy fabric heart from CVS. 

I love the little tags from the Tags paper - super cute and perfect for my title and adding a little tag to tuck underneath.
