'Hangin' with my crew' with Simple Stories Say Cheese III by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone! Welcome to the AAS blog on this chilly Friday morning.
The start of a new month brings some different collections for me to showcase.
My first layout features Simple Stories Say Cheese III collection and as you can see  I am back to my masculine theme, my comfort zone :) A great photo of Master 12 with one of his baseball club's american imports, a great teacher.  

Here are a few close ups of the page. 2 Crafty Chevron Bits have been painted with Black Distress Paint and elevated using foam tape. I have also used foam tape on a number of the embellishments to give the page some dimension. The Simple Stories Say Cheese III Bits & Pieces were a great source for each cluster

I have used some stars from the 2 Crafty Star Pack to coordinate with the collection, they have been painted using Distress Paint and then I have added patterned paper to the larger stars.

I have left the background quite plain on this page, but I have doodled using black gel pen 

around the edges and added some faux stitching to a few areas.

There are a few staples added in a few places.

Thought I would share a bonus page that I did during school holidays. I am still making good use of the fabulous school collection Photo Play Real Genius The photos were taken from Master 12's last day at school for 2016.

Distress Inks and Crafters Workshop Templates are so much fun!

Deliberately picked school based templates for the patterns.

I have cut the pencils out from Photo Play Real Genius 3x4 Cards and 

propped them up with foam tape. 

The 2 Crafty Stars were painted with Aged Mahogany Distress Paint and 

stamped using Gold Brilliance Ink and Kaisercraft Grid Stamp.
