Happy & Magical using Carta Bella Craft & Create by Kerryn Fry

Hello everyone!Today I'm sharing a page created with the collection Carta Bella Craft & Create.Some fun photos from 2012 of Mr Hplaying with his very cute, youngest cousinduring the January school holidays. 

The page began with a 12x12 piece of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.

I've created the background effect in stages.

The first layer is three different Distress Oxide colours,

Speckled Egg, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire.

Using a blending tool and an older Vicki Boutin Stencil,

I have applied the Oxide inks randomly mixed

around the outside edge of the page.

The next layer is using Vicki Boutin Colour Study 

Bubbles Stencil and Tsukineko Vegas All Purpose Ink.

It has been applied with a sponge, over-lapping the Distress Oxides

in multiple spots on the cardstock.

I've then made watery mixtures of the gold ink 

and white gesso to create splashes on the page.

The final layer in the background 

is with a gold pen and I have outlined 

some of the hexagon shapes from the original stencil.

The 2 Crafty Circle Tag 'Adore' has been 

covered with the Tsukineko Ink.

I have finished the chipboard with a layer

of Dimensional Magic.

The flowers on the page have been hand cut

from the paper Sew Lovely Floral.

I have raised each floral cluster with foam tape.

The 4 photos have been matted with

  Kaisercraft White Cardstock and 

lifted with scrap cardboard to create dimension.

I've used black and white pens to outline

different layers of the patterned paper

with a fake stitch border.

The numbers and '&' are from a Thickers set.

They have been covered with the gold ink

and finished with Dimensional Magic.

The tag for journalling has been cut from 

the paper Handmade with Love.

The tag has been raised with foam tape.

The title has been created with the chipboard pieces 

2 Crafty Happy and 2 Crafty Fine Word 'Magical'.

Both piece have been covered with the 

Gold Tsukineko All Purpose Ink.

Once dry, the final layer is Dimensional Magic.

Love the mixture of different fonts.

Coastal Walk with Simple Stories Vintage Coastal by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
Back today with another layout created with the summery Vintage Coastal collection by Simple Stories. 
Coastal Walk

I've used the collection this week to document a favourite photo from one of my coast walks. Lucky to live near this during lockdown!
For this layout I've focused on the green, blues and browns from the photo and added a pop of red/pink. Love a Kraft cardstock background for beachy pages and I have added some stamping to the background before add my torn paper layers

I've tucked some chipboard pieces, left natural to compliment the Kraft background, under my paper layers for added texture before embellishing with the cardstock stickers and floral ephemera pieces. 

The ready-made cluster above and my cluster below using a mix of stickers and adding some 49 & Market Hike More trinkets. 

Finally adding my title using the Foam Stickers for the large word Coastal and some smaller stickers for walk.

Today's Moments using Pinkfresh Some Days by Kerryn Fry

Hi everyone!The page I'm sharing today was created with my remaining pieces of Pinkfresh Some Days.The colours in this collection worked really well with the photos.More photos of Mr H at his firstschool sports day in 2009.

The 12x12 base is Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.

To that I've add the contrast piece of

Bazzill Raven Cardstock.

I pulled a few border punches from my stash

to add a decorative edge to one side of the black cardstock.

The layer of white graph paper

is the packaging from the Cardstock Stickers.

I added a decorative edge to that layer as well.

The 2 Crafty Photo Corners don't appear

on the page, but the 'Dots' from the corners

were a great embellishment on the page.

The Dots have been covered with Black Soot Distress Paint.

The 2 Crafty Miniture Bracket Frame was covered 

with Black Soot Distress Paint and then 

cut in half to frame the embellishment clusters

on either side of the photos.

The embellishment clusters were built from

the Cardstock Stickers and foam tape.

I've layered them to create dimension on the page.

I've layered strips of patterned paper 

under the embellishment cluster to pop 

some of the colours in the photo.

Some of the paper layers have been framed

with a black pen border.

The title 'Todays moments, tomorrow memories'

is from the 2 Crafty 6x4 Stick Set 5.

It has been covered with Distress Paint,

but have kept the engraved word neutral to pop.

Life's Beachy with Simple Stories Vintage Coastal Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
This week I have the re-released Simple Stories Vintage Coastal collection to play with! So happy it is re-released as I was able to get around to using what I had and get new pieces too!

I love this background paper and had the perfect photo! I mounted the pic in some pink to tie in with the frangipanis and some patterned paper to give me a pop of green before moving on to the embellishments. 

The sticker sheet and floral bits packs contain so much stuff and I love that the stickers some like their own little cluster like the one with the starfish above.
Then I have made my own little cluster using both and also some puffy foam heart from the foam stickers set. 

I've complimented the early starfish with this little cluster across the top of mypage - love the dimension the foam stickers add to the layout.

My title is also from the foam stickers set - love the giant word, perfect title and I have just added some Kaisercraft stickers to finish off my title.

Great Memories using Photo Play Tulla & Norbet's Sweet as Honey by Kerryn Fry

Morning everyone!Today the page I'm sharing has been created with the collection, Photo Play Tulla & Norbet's Sweet as Honey.A beautiful range that works perfectlywith the black & white photos.
The photos were taken in January 2012 hanging at Grandma's house. Mr H and his cousin Rosie, readingThe Very Hungry Caterpillar.

The base of the page is Bazzill Raven Cardstock.

I've used the reverse side of Tweet Tweet

as the main layer of the page

and stuck it to the left edge of the cardstock.

The edge of the paper has been outlined with a gold pen.

The photos have been layered on 

the reverse side of the Buzzing By paper 

and the small bees have been cut from the other side.

I've rounded some of the corners of the 

patterned papers to soften the edges.

The 2 Crafty Funky Stars have been

covered with Tsukineko All Purpose Ink - Vegas Gold.

I've hand cut flowers from the Sweet Pollen paper.

and created the cluster on top of the stars.

The banner 'Love Grows Here' was cut from You're a Keeper

has been backed with Raven Cardstock.

I've used foam tape to lift the elements.

The 2 Crafty Filmstrip has been covered

with Black Soot Distress Paint

and backed with the reverse side of Bee Keeper.

The 2 Crafty Miniture Bracket Frame

has been covered with 

Tsukineko All Purpose Ink - Vegas Gold

and backed with white cardstock scrap.

The bird houses have been cut from Tweet Tweet

and layered with foam tape and cut flowers.

The title 'Great Memories' is from 

the 2 Crafty Mini Title Stick Set 1.

The title piece has been covered by swiping 

a black ink pad across the top

to leave the engraved letters untouched.

Hello everyone
Back again with another layout to share using the stunning Vintage Artistry Hike More collection from 49&Market. 
Explore

Again, I am loving these backgrounds and co-ordinating them with the embellishments to frame my photo. To start I have matted my photo with some patterned paper then used the die-cuts and ephemera - on the right top corner a frame that I have tucked under the page and added an ephemera tag and a cute dragonfly. 

On the left I have made a shipping tag with scrap paper and added an ephemera viewfinder and "love this Place" tag before adding lots of sheer leaves from the 49&Market Artistry Essentials range, as well as some 2Crafty leaves and Green Tara flowers. Before finishing with the cutest butterfly from the leaf pack. 

Finally my third cluster, a smaller version of the left with a single flower, more chipboard and another cute butterfly. My title mattboard which is left natural to compliment my page - from Celebr8.

Gorgeous Girl using Pinkfresh Studio Some Days by Kerryn Fry

Good morning Crafters!Today I'm sharing another page with the collectionPinkfresh Studio Some Days.The photos were taken back in 2012,my Great-Niece playing inher Nana's backyard.

The base is a clean piece of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.

I've layered the patterned papers on the page

and added Stickles Glitter Glue to highlight

different parts of the papers.

At the top of the page, I've added a strip of One More Cup

using foam tape to lift it for dimension.

The strip of Raven Cardstock has been scalloped

and tucked underneath.

The cluster in the top right corner of the page

has been created with a half circle 

that was cut from Count It Down.

I've added a sticker from the Cardstock stickers.

The 2 Crafty Chevron Bits have been covered 

with Black Soot Distress Paint

and added with glue to the page.

I've cut another larger half circle from Friendly Daisies,

it was added to the left side of the page

and outlined it with a black gel pen.

The cluster at the bottom left side of the photo

has been created with Cardstock Stickers

and hand cut pieces from One More Cup.

I've added a few more touched of Stickles Glitter Glue

to the patterns in some of the papers.

Some of the stickers have been layered with

foam tape to create more dimension.

I've used four small photos and

backed them with Raven Cardstock.

The 2 Crafty medium Filmstrip has

been covered with Black Soot Distress Paint.

Once dry, I've backed the filmstrip with patterned paper.

The 2 Crafty Mini Title 'Gorgeous Girl'

has been covered with Wild Honey Distress Paint

and then finished with two layers

of Dimensional Magic.

A simple page created with gorgeous papers.
