What a view, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi everyone!

I love love love the blue and natural tones of the Unchartered Waters Kaisercraft collection.
Perfect for some beach photos, which I always have plenty of!

I started with Pelagic paper as my base. What a beautiful textured paper.

Then I layered and stacked panels of these papers: Tide Pool, Hook and Streak. The blues in spots and stripes look great with the dark wood!

I used more of the papers to mount the two photos and to create the little banner strips.

I created 3 clusters on the page, using muslin layered with die cuts from the Collectables pack.

These close ups will show the 3 clusters.

As you can see, I layered the muslin with shells, ship wheels, starfish, crab and quote diecuts. Such a simple yet effective way to create clusters! I popped the quote tags on foam tape for some dimension.

Have you got some beach or ocean photos you want to scrap?
The Unchartered Waters collection would be perfect!

Thanks for looking today!
Amanda

A Christmas Tradition with Pinkfresh Studios Home for the Holidays by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back with another Christmas page using the fun Pinkfresh Studios Home for the Holidays collection. I've used the greens and yellows from the collection for this page, with a pop of red.

A Christmas Tradition

I've combined a couple of our family traditions in this page - Elf on the Shelf and Christmas movies! For this page I chose a photo of our Elf on the Shelf, Peter dressed as Elf from the movie and went with the Green and Yellow combo. Our other elf, Dandelion is in red so I have used pops of red throughout.

I've used the B side of the mistletoe paper as my main background, using a solid green background to matte it. Then my photo I have mounted onto the same green, then some red paper to add that pop.

I love the 2Crafty Christmas tree, I have painted it green and the inked darker green and pinecone ink around the edges, then painted the gold star on top.

I've tucked some extra yellow patterned papers under my photo then finished off with some very old flair buttons from my stash . Green and red painted combo for my 2Crafty title - A Christmas Tradition.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

This is You using Echo Park Teen Spirit Boy by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone!
This week I have created a page using the colourful collection,
Echo Park Teen Spirit Boy.
I went back to this range as it worked perfectly with the B&W photos.
This is Mr 15 just doing his thing.

The base is a sheet of Bazzill Kraft cardstock.
I've added some colour to it using the Kaisercraft Designer Template Scattered Stars
and Distress Oxide Inks Evergreen Bough and Wild Honey.

The photos have been added to the page with foam tape to give them a pop.
I've highlighted the smaller photo with a 2 Crafty star frame.
It was covered with Black Soot Distress Paint .
The faux stitching has been added with a white gel pen.

The large 2 Crafty Star has been coloured with Evergreen Bough Distress Paint.
It is the base for the embellishment cluster in the bottom left corner of the page.
I've used another star covered with Wild Honey Distress Paint
and backed it with patterned paper.
There is foam tape between each layer.
The Ephemera pack provided  the other elements.

For balance I have added another star to the top left corner.
Again covered with Wild Honey Distress Paint.
The 'so rad' circle is from the Ephemera pack.
I have doodled faux stitching on different paper layers.

The 2 Crafty title This is You has been covered with Black Soot Distress Paint.
Once dry, I have added the white gel pen border.
I have added some Tim Holtz stickers for some extra sub-titles.

That's my page for this week.
Thanks for visiting the blog today,
have a great weekend.
Please drop by on Monday for Fiona's next project.

Unforgettable You
by Amanda Hartmann
using Cocoa Vanilla Studio - Unforgettable

Hi everyone!
I finally cracked open my pack of Cocoa Vanilla Studios Unforgettable Collection.
 What a beautiful range!
And perfect for these photos of my oldest daughter dressed up as Sleeping Beauty!
Combining papers with the ephemera and stickers in the collection, it was quick and easy to bring this page together.

I started with the Forget Me Not paper at the base, and layered the Natural Beauty woodgrain paper next. I included the black and white leaves/floral design (from the reverse of the Natural Beauty paper), as strips at the top, bottom and through the middle of the page.

Behind the photos: I used some panels and pieces of the Pretty Bits paper, as well as die cutting a doily from the same paper. I used my Kaisercraft Decorative Die for that. I layered all  these elements behind the photos.

In the close ups, you can see how I finished the page with stickers and ephemera.

I love the butterfly die cut!

And my favourite thing is the little word stickers from the Accessory sticker sheets!

I layered some stickers and diecuts here.

I have loved working with this collection.

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Elfies with Pinkfresh Studio Home for the Holidays by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

December means Christmas, and what better collection than the amazing Pinkfresh Studio Home for the Holidays collection. Loving the mix of traditional and non-traditional colours in this collection which make it so very versatile!

Elfies
For my layout today I knew I wanted to fussy cut the houses from the Home for the Holidays patterned paper. To compliment this I chose the dark patterned side of the Happy Holidays paper so my little houses stood out.

Then I created a soft water colour background on marshmallow cardstock using some watercolour paints and sponging with paper towel. Once I had my background I could layer up my papers -using tearing for added texture then building up my layers.
I've added some cute trees that I had left over from the Bella Blvd collection - Let's go on an Adventure ephemera pack then dug around in my stash for some stars to add to the top!

Next some adorable stickers from the Pinkfresh Home for the Holiday collection to match.
And finishing off with some glittery goodness for my Santa Sleigh and title - Sleigh inked in red then added red stickles. My title is Selfies - I chopped off the S to make elfies as it suited our photo much better! Inked the title in Green ink then added green stickles - cause Christmas = Glitter!!

Let It Snow using Photo Play For the Love of Winter by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone!
Everything is back to normal today, yes it is Friday.
Using For the Love of Winter by Photo Play,
I decided to tackle a double page for something different.
There will always be plenty of snow photos to feature.
These were taken last year at Lake Mountain.
The Kraft Cardstock base has been stenciled
with white gesso and a snowflake stencil.
The next layer is Distress Oxide Inks

After layering the patterned papers across the double page,
I have grabbed a few of my larger snowflake dies from various companies
and cut out three different sizes and colours.

The Element Sticker Sheet provided the extra embellishments to decorate the page.
I've used foam tape to lift a few of the stickers
and added Stickles to the centres of the smaller snowflakes.

The journal spot has been created with patterned paper layers,
foam tape and a hand punch.
A few more stickers were added to finish off the cluster.

I changed the photos to black & white to suit the papers.
With the orange in my jacket and hot pink in my sister's jacket,
it made it easier to create the page.
The photos have all been mounted with foam tape
to add another layer to the page.

The 2 Crafty title Let it Snow was base coated with gesso,
then covered with white ink and given some sparkle with Diamond Stickles,
my favourite glitter glue.
I hope you have enjoyed another snow page.
Thanks for visiting the blog today, have a great weekend
and please join us on Monday for Fiona's next page.

Cherish the moment using So Happy Together Simple Stories by Kerryn Fry

Good morning all!
Not Amanda today, I'm returning a favour.
Today's page has been created with the collection,
So Happy Together by Simple Stories.
Some older photos from the archives of one my nieces,
with her gorgeous blue eyes and 'Strawberry Blonde' hair.

The page started with a plain kraft cardstock base.
I've added layers of colourful patterned papers from this gorgeous collection,
under the 4 photos and backed each photo with a black cardstock layer and some foam tape.
The 2 Crafty Doodled Corner has been covered with gold ink
and tucked under the top right photo.

I've hand-cut a few elements from the 2x2 Elements paper to add to the page.
Each piece has been lifted with foam tape for some dimension
and used to embellish the page.

The heart is from the 12x12 Cardstock sticker sheet
and the camera hand-cut from the paper.
The heart has been lifted with foam tape.
I have used a border punch on the green paper.

The 2 Crafty Frangy Flowers have been covered with
Distress Oxide Ink in Wild Honey and Scattered Straw.
Once the flowers were dry, I've outlined each flower with a white pen
and added some spots for the centres in both gold & white pens

The 2 Crafty Mini Branches were covered with
a combination of Distress Oxide Ink in Bundled Sage and Iced Spruce.
I've cut some of the branches into smaller pieces.

has been covered with gold ink.

That's my first page for this week,
I will be back on Friday to share another creation,
I hope you will join me.

Hallowscream with Photoplay Confetti by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have a Halloween layout, but I have used the new birthday themed collection Confetti by Photoplay. You can see why it works...

Hallowscream
The kids love Halloween and wanted to be a bit scary this year. So we have Pennywise and Harley Quinn. They are both so birghtly coloured that the usual halloween colours were not going to work. Enter the bright and lots of fun colours in the Confetti collection. Plenty of papers that will work for any photos, not just limited to birthdays, these are the perfect colours for kids!

I've started with some big stripes of paint across my white cardstock in sunny yellow. Then I have layered up lots of the papers - as you can see apart from the balloons they are predominantly the B-Sides so very versatile for lots of pages.

Of course the balloon paper is perfect for my theme - and I have fussy cut out the red balloon and place it right near Pennywise with some twine winding down so it appears to have just been released.

I've finished with a little play on words for my title using some old foam thickers before adding lots of enamel dots to the layout to continue the polka dot theme from the clown outfit and the polka dot paper.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week
