Design Team Announcement and a sad Farewell

Good Morning Followers   I'm thrilled to be able to announce we have 2 new talented ladies joining us in October, but before I get onto that I need to say that after quite some time designing for me, Linda Eggleton is stepping down from the Design Team.
Linda has been designing for me for quite a few years and not only is she a talented crafter, she is one of the most lovely and easy going designers that I've had the  pleasure to work with and I'm going to miss her weekly post and inspiration as well as her continued support and friendship.
A huge thank you from the bottom of my heart Linda, you will truly be missed, not only by me, but your wonderful fan base that you have been inspiring with your gorgeous work -   we wish you well and hope to still see some beautiful work from you out there in the  Crafting world.
Now, to the our 2 new members.
I'm thrilled to welcome these 2 talented ladies, I hope you will take a minute to pop over  to their blogs and see what gorgeous crafting styles they have in store for us.

My name is Tammy Klingner - my friends call me Tam,

 and I live in the beautiful Clare Valley in South Australia. 

Scrapping has been a part of my life for 11 years now - it is my 'me time' in this crazy life.

 It slows me down and reminds me to appreciate the little things as there's so much 

to be grateful for. 

 By far my biggest joy is being a mum to my 3 amazing kids (age 14, 12 and 11). 

 They provide me with so much inspiration and I can't wait to share it with you. 

 I'm thrilled to be a part of this team, thank-you Vanessa for having me!

Rachel

Hi my name is Rachel Lowe and I live in beautiful Perth, WA.

I started scrapbooking in 2006 when my youngest was born.  My background in  crafts is Folk Art painting and Quilting.

My scrapbooking style has evolved over the years and I love to try new techniques and design styles. I would describe myself as a contemporary/classical scrapper, I love clean lines, layers and negative space.

My inspiration always comes from my photo (I cannot scrap without a chosen photo!)  as my page tells the story of the photo in some way.

When I am not scrapping I am living a wonderfully chaotic life as a mum of four children.  I also work full time as a Mental Health Nurse Consultant with the Department of Corrective Services.

My greatest achievement is my four children, what a ride it is being a parent! In regards  to scrapbooking having my work published over the years by Scrapbooking Creations, Scrapbooking Memories and Jot Magazine, it is always a thrill to have your work acknowledged!

I love to travel, last year I took my daughter to Turkey, Paris and London (so many fab photos to scrap!) and next year my hubby and I will take a child free holiday to Italy.  I am a passionate about photography and also I love my footy, West Coast Eagles  of course for this Perth girl.

Kaisercraft Home for Christmas by Fiona Johnstone

  Hello everyone   Have you started thinking about Christmas? All the new Christmas ranges are coming out now and today I am sharing a layout created with one of the latest ones from Kaisercraft - Home for Christmas. This range has gorgeous traditional colours of red and green with some neutrals in kraft and black & white. 
My layout today is A Christmas Tradition

Every Christmas we get a group family photo, not everyone is always there with but we try to get us all! This is last years photo of us on the front step at my place. 
The lovely textures in this collection inspired my design with lots of torn edges and layering. I loved the traditional poinsettia paper and have even fussy cut one of the large flowers as a feature.

I've inked my 2Crafty chipboard title in traditional red and green to compliment the paper. My embellishments mainly consist of stickers from the Home for Christmas Sticker sheet which I have used to frame my photo, before adding a few enamel dots to complete the page.

As always there are cute little phrases on the sticker sheet and I am loving the kraft coloured stickers to tie the page together.

More inspiration with Simple Stories Summer Vibes - By Linda Eggleton

Hello everyone...Happy Friday to you all :)

I am back to share my second layout, created with the fun

Simple Stories - Summer Vibes collection. "Fun in the Sun"

I have used one of the Wood/Grid papers for my background - in pink.

This collection comes with a few different colours of this same patterned paper, which I love - nothing like a bit of variety!  I have then layered up a few different patterned papers & have included some of the chipboard frames cut in half, in amongst the layers.

I've created a cluster using 3 varieties of Green Tara flowers - Azalea, Apple Blossom & Cherry Blossom.  I have slightly altered the colour of the cream cherry blossom, adding a bit more yellow using my Gelatos.  I've also included some of the diecut pieces from the Bits & Pieces pack - the main piece being the really cool instamatic camera.  Also one of the chipboard frames, a couple of the self adhesive Bradz, and finished off with some 2Crafty leafy Twig Branches & I've also included some diecut paper leaves in amongst the 2Crafty leaves.

I have cut out some of the cute little cameras from the Selfie paper & have popped them up on foam tape.  One of the camera's I've also added one of the self adhesive Bradz to the lens part of the camera.  The cute little sun sticker is one of the clear Photo Stickers.  And the top of the page are the chipboard frames that I've layered in with the paper layers.

The title is using three of the different alpha stickers from the Expressions Cardstock sticker sheet.

There's also some of the Expression word stickers plus some more diecuts - the arrow & ticket.

Here is another of the chipboard frames, with the other half of it over on the opposite side of the photos, and I just love the gorgeous little bunch of balloons from the Bits & Pieces diecut pack!

I also added one of the 2Crafty Chevron Bits, that I've covered in Gesso & then coloured with Gelatos.

Cocoa Vanilla - Life is Beautiful "Happy" by Fiona Johnstone

Hi Everyone   Today I am once again creating with the fabulous Life is Beautiful collection by Cocoa Vanilla. It has a gorgeous, soft colour palette which is so versatile. Combined with the fabulous variety in embellishments this is one collection that is so easy to scrap with all on it's own. 
My layout today, is titled Happy

I've kept this layout soft, by using lots of paper layers that have been hand cut so there are no sharp edges. The papers are uninked and slightly bent to add some depth to the layering. A doily added for some added soft layering, and very light splattering of soft pink colorshine on a plain white background.
The layout has been embellished solely with Cocoa Vanilla Life is Beautiful embellishments, including the title. Such an amazing array of perfect embellishments.

Simple Stories "Summer Vibes" - by Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone

Today I have a new layout to share with a new collection I'll be working with for September.

Simple Stories - Summer Vibes.

It is a collection full of fabulous pastel type summer colours & embellishments.

In the embellishment department, it is another collection with such a great variety - there are diecuts, self adhesive brads, a HUGE variety of cardstock & chipboard stickers, clear photo stickers, sn@p cards, enamel dots & a fantastic pack of chipboard frames which has 24 frames!

And the papers are just as fabulous & plentiful....lots of gorgeous patterns & 

plenty of cut out pieces on the elements papers.

Here is my first layout....

"Summer of 68"

I have used the Just Beachy paper for the background - which is a woodgrain paper that also has the coloured strip sayings at the bottom right of the page...and also the strip pieces at the top left.

I have left the background page as is, as I felt that by the time I added some paper layers & embellishments, that it would be quite busy looking & adding more to the 

background would have made it a bit too busy.

The brads that come with this collection are self adhesive - so much easier to work with!

If you happen to change your mind where you want the brad, it is so easy to lift it back up and move - I love the concept of these!  My cluster is made up of Green Tara flowers, some diecut pieces from the Bits & Pieces pack, some 2Crafty Indian Feathers & some punched butterflies.

Off to the left of the cluster are some of the expression stickers, 

and also some of the White photo stickers (The arrows).

As I mentioned earlier, the pack of chipboard frames comes in a pack of 24 - so there is heaps of them to go around.  Here I've used one of the smaller ones, set off to the side of the paper layers, and I've backed it with one of the small 2x2 pieces from the 2x2 & 4x6 Elements paper.

Here you can also see a few of the cardstock stickers & diecut pieces.

I have coated the 2Crafty Dancing Sun with gesso & then coloured it with a red Gelato 

& topped it off with one of the adhesive brads.

The Cardstock alpha stickers comes with 4 different coloured alphas...also in different sizes & styles.

There are also some strip expression stickers on this sheet as well.

Here I've used 3 of the different alphas for my title.

Top left of the photo I've used one of the clear photo stickers.

These stickers come with 3 sheets of stickers - all on clear backgrounds.

1 sheet is coloured, another has white stickers & the 3rd one is a grey colour...all matching perfectly with the colours of this collection.

I have used one of the bigger frames from the Chipboard Frames pack to frame my photo & have used pieces cut from both the 4x4 Elements paper & 3x4 Journaling Card Elements paper 

placed either side of the photo & frame.

Photo is of my brother & I back in 1968 :)

Cocoa Vanilla - Life is Beautiful "Sweet" by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone   YAY, it's Spring! I am so excited to see the start of some warmer weather!!  It's also the start of a new month and time for a new collection.    I am very happy to be working with the gorgeous newly released Cocoa Vanilla range,  Life is Beautiful. Loving this new brand. Gorgeous Blues, Oranges and Pinks in this collection, a mix of florals and plainer patterns.
Today's layout: Sweet

I've used a plain white cardstock for my background and lightly inked the background  using a mix of masks, before alternating the floral and plain coloured paper layers. Some close ups:

  One of the best things about this collection is the awesome amount of embellishments available. These make completing your layout so easy! For this page I have used Ephemera, enamel dots, flair buttons and little pretties.
