Life is Beautiful layout by Rachel Lowe - Hello Beautiful:

Today I have my second share using the gorgeous collection by Fancy Pants, Life is Beautiful.
Again I have used the floral papers with bright splashes of pink and yellow but I have used the wood grain background paper which gives it a different feel.
Teenagers can be hard to scrap as they seem to dislike photos taken by mum and therefore they can be few and far between. I always have my camera on the ready for those moments I can just snap away and get great shots like this.
With three sons I love the opportunity to scrap girly layouts that are pretty/floral and that is what I wanted to create here.
 

Layering elements is the key to this layout. Here I have take a simple tab foam taped a die cut heart, adding an enamel dot and then sewed to add texture.

I have done the same here with another tab but have added a brad and finished again with sewing.

I have sewn randomly on this layout to add texture, like on the die cut leaves.

I have layered the die cut flowers and finished this element off with a puffy word sticker.

The flairs in this collection are just lovely and slightly over sized (in comparison to a standard flair) which allows you to place a single element.

Well thats it for today and I hope you have liked the last two layouts using this collection and even though they are both floral they are completely different.

It's my turn again to share a layout, which means that another week has flown by.   This week I had a play with Cocoa Vanilla's Totally Rad Collection.  

   I'm a big fan of Cocoa Vanilla.   Their collections are always stunning. Plus they are Australian!!    I was  immediately drawn to the blue and white striped background paper. It has a bit of a beachy feel to it.   So I scrapped a selfie of myself and my son at the beach, taken on our annual January holiday.  

  Whilst everyone else was sleeping, we would get up and walk down to the beach. I love it at that time of morning. The peace, the calm. At that time there's not many others there - it feels like you got the beach to yourself.  A special time for him and I to hang together, to talk or to walk in silence -  to connect.   It's something I will always treasure, so I'm really glad we got a photo.  

To create the layout I added a bit of gesso, and then flicked some spritz around. I then stamped a bit, and added some embellishments. I'm always a fan of the frames in their die cut pack. Project Life - Healthy Hello

Hi everyone   Just wanted to share a recent Project Life spread using the gorgeous Healthy Hello Range by Jillibean Soup. This range is great for Project Life - all the embellies are a perfect size  to fit into the pockets.  

  I hate to admit, but I've gotten behind on my Project Life. I've been doing too much living life and not enough time documenting it!   So this week I decided to just get in and do it. This project is one of my absolute favourites, and the one that myself and the kids enjoy looking back on the most.    I also feel it is the project that sparks my memories the most, and that makes me reflect on our current life - both when creating it and looking back on it. It's often what triggers me to make changes in our lives. To determine what is working, what isn't and what we need more of. There's definitely something about seeing your life in front of you that causes change.   So I went back to the approach that was working really well for me earlier this year. To create weekly spreads from the leftovers of a range that I've been playing with.   Here's a closer look:

Cocoa Vanilla Studio Love Always - Sweet by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
Today I am sharing a layout created with the beautiful Love Always collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. The most gorgeous papers in lovely tones, complimented with the best range of co-ordinating embellishments.

For this page I decided to create a soft background using my gelatos as a watercolour on the background paper. Once dry I've layered up some of the patterned papers and co-ordinating ephemera before finishing the page off with some gorgeous wood veneers.

Fancy Pants - Life is Beautiful Layout by Rachel Lowe:

Happy Monday everyone. Today I am working with the gorgeous collection Life is Beautiful and it is indeed beautiful. I love the quality feel of their papers and their embellishments are always plentiful. Recently I had some professional photos taken and I have used a stunning one of my daughter and hence my choice of going super girly with the stunning floral papers. This layout is all about layering and with the ephemera pack you are spoilt for choice.

As a feature of my background paper I have used the dark floral paper to contrast against the black and white stripes. I have sewn on them to add definition. I chose the turquoise paper to mat my photo for a contrast against the florals.

I then chose the white floral paper and used a strip to start layering on. There are some lovely tags to chose from but in keeping with my theme I chose a floral one to layer behind my photo.

I then used the floral die cut frame which I attached with foam tape and added the typewriter die cut over it and the floral flair under it. I then foam taped other elements such as my title, 'Be Happy' die cut and butterfly. I then punched a small flower circle from the white floral paper and attached to the left of my photo to add interest.

I finished this layout off with some enamel hearts and dots. Thank you for stopping by today and do head over to the shop to see this gorgeous collection up close. Happy Today by Tammy Klingner

Good morning everyone!   It's Friday already which means it's my turn to share my latest layout.   This week I had a play with Jillibean Soup's Healthy Hello Range. This range really is happy, bright and fresh.  

  I'm really enjoying painting with acrylic paints onto my pages. Since attending the escape2create retreat in Port Lincoln, and doing classes with Wilna  Fursternberg and Louise Nelson, I have been really embracing my paints.   My paint of choice is Dylusions. It's much easier than it looks. Just smear it on, with a bit of water! But don't forget to spread white gesso before you apply your paint.  

    I added some texture paste with a stencil and then layered up using a few layers of papers,  and a heap of the awesome die cuts. I also added some 2Crafty Chipboard Leaves.  

  A happy layout celebrating some of the wonderful connections made at the retreat. It's really an awesome feeling to be in a room of other creative who just love paper and  scissors and paint as much as you!  They just get it.  And get you. Beach Memories by Rachel Lowe:

Hello everyone today I have another layout using Photo Play, Nautical Bliss collection.   Most of this collection is 'girl' focused so I set myself a challenge of creating a 'boy' layout. With this layout I went for a colour photo of my two boys having fun at the beach a couple of summers ago, and this collection with its bright reds, yellows and navy blue was just perfect.  

Again I have chosen a patterned background paper. I then cut a five inch strip of the cream and navy dot paper.

From here I chose two of the journalling cards a attached on either side of my photo (slight tucked under each side of the photo), all on a slight angle to make it more interesting. I then embellished each journal card by foam taping stickers.

Under my photo I have used the border stickers which breaks up the patterned background paper. I also used two of the phrase stickers under my photo.

I painted the 2Crafty line word 'memories' in titanium white and attached to the bottom of my page. Lastly I added two round sticker elements.

This layout is all about beach fun and makes using colour photos so easy. Thanks for stopping by for a look and have a great week. Good morning!   I'm here to share another layout using Pink Paislee's Fancy Free Collection!! This really will be my last one, as I have none left!! Hmmmm maybe I could restock.....  

  This is the fourth layout I've created with this range..... and this one was just begging to be done. When I saw that gorgeous floral paper, I just knew I had to cut into it.   So I started by applying white gesso in a thin layer to my white bazzill.  This acts as a barrier, and allows the paint to sit on top, rather than seep into the paper. I then mixed my three paint colours together (pink, orange and white), and brushed it onto my cardstock.  Once dry I applied texture paste using the wood grain section of my stencil,  along one side.  

  I then added a few layers of papers behind my photos. Now came the fun part! Cutting out those flowers and leaves.  I really wasn't fussy with this part, as the watercolour look lends itself to imperfection. I layered these up around my photo, along with my title and a few leftover embellishments.  

  Again, to finish off the layout, I cut a small strip from 2 sides, and then adhered it to a 12x12 paper from the range.  I love how this frames the page.   So who picked that this is another layout inspired by the fabulous Wilna Furstenberg? It's got me using flowers again on my layouts!   I love that about scrapbooking! There's always new techniques and everything old is new again.   I love that my style is constantly evolving.  I love that I am continuously learning. I love that I am being pushed as an artist. I love that I am stepping out of my comfort zone. Hello everyone
This week I've created a page using the beautiful Basic Grey Dear Heart collection.  Sadly this is one of Basic Greys last collection and there is still some in the shop  which you can find here.  

I've used the Kaisercraft Mandala Template with some plain Texture paste to add a little texture to my page but still keep it soft and feminine.   

After adding my paper layers I have lightly inked the chipboard birdcage in pinecone ink, added some green tara flowers and again used the journaling strips from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. My 2Crafty Chipboard title is inked with a variety of pink inks to match the pinks in the paper.

Hello everyone well I am back to reality returning from Italy yesterday where it was a whole lot warmer than it is here. Today I have a summer layout for you.

I am a huge fan of photo Play and this collection Nautical Bliss is no exception.

I knew I wanted to use the banner paper as my background paper (cutting it down you would lose it's visual effect of floating flags) but I also knew I had to be careful not to lose my photo.

I chose the light blue paper with tiny red stars as my mat to go behind my photo and knew this was a good contrast against the banner paper. Before I attached anything on the banners page I sewed along every banner on the page which gives the illusion that the flags are attached to a 'real' string/cord. I then sewed around my photo mat but did so in a messy fashion. I chose the journal card which suited my photo and create my theme, I also sewed around this. To assist in breaking up the banner paper around my photo I layered the pink scallop border sticker under my photo.

It was then about layering stickers, I love Julie Nutting's dolls/girls and on this layout I managed to incorporate two beach babes!

I then layered lots of the flower stickers, foam taping the top ones to create a 3D effect.  I also foam taped some small photos along the flag banner again to break up the 'busy' paper. For a beach themed layout it is still pretty and soft. Thank you for stopping by today and although summer seems far away here in Australia this collection is a 'must have' for summer photos.
