This week a share with an older Simple Stories collection - The Little Things. I think the colours in this collection are just so striking.
Love it!
Lovely
I've started with some white cardstock and added some stenciling in black ink and some textured dots stamping before mounting it onto the base paper. Then I have layered up some of the papers with a focus on the red and green to match our outfits and adding in some more of the black base paper to tie the page together.
A doily for some texture before adding some layers from the ephemera and sticker sheet sets with a couple of chipboard pieces from 49&Market Rouge collection. I've also cut out some tags and added some twine.
Doing a bit of a stash bust I have used some older Pinkfresh Studio Puffy Stickers (Lovely Blooms) for my title before adding some finishing splashes of ink in dark green.
Today I am sharing a layout using Simple Stories Retro Summer collection:
Ice Cream
For this layout I started with the cute ice-cream paper which I have fussy cut following the pattern and layered it over the darker sprinkles paper. I've used white cardstock as my base to match the white dress in the photos. I've then added my sequence of photos and started to embellish using the 12x12 Element Sticker sheet and some 6x12 Chipboard.
I've chosen different ice creams to layer up on each side with some ice cream themed words, and a cute chipboard banner.
I've used the cute Ice Cream Truck as my title with a small banner and subtitle, Fun in the Sun to complete my page.
This week some more 49 and Market. I love this photo of my youngest, mucking around before we got some photos for her formal. She is wearing her favourite colour so I chose to make the page almost monotone, and what better collection than 49&Market Spectrum Gardenia with a bit of 49&Market Colour Swatch Lavender.
Captured
After using my 49&Market Spectrum Gardenia background paper I have grabbed some of the Colour Swatch frames in Lavender and arranged these into a pattern on my base, I have used the large for my photo before using some rub-ons and even some packaging behind the frames.
and on the left I have used the packaging flower from the Lavender frames then some more of the Spectrum Gardenia Laser cut Butterflies and a Green Tara Cherry Blossom with my title from the Gardenia Chipboard Word set
Back today with another layout using Simple Stories Boho Sunshine. Such a fun and colourful range perfect for kids photos!
Grow and Bloom
For this layout I wanted to use complimentary colours for my photo with an emphasis on her top. I've used some distress oxide ink using the plastic bag technique and some extra sploshes to break up the white cardstock before layering some floral paper and then the green to match the top.
Over the inked background I've used a mix of foam and paper flowers cascading down towards the bottom of the page:
I've added some larger flowers to the opposite corner of the photo and fussy cut some small butterflies before finishing my layout with a foam word sticker.
Still have some Simple Stories Boho Sunshine layouts to share with you. This range is super fun, vibrant and colourful!! This week -
Hello Cheeky
I have used the Good Vibes word paper as my background and fussy cut the pattern from the Groovy paper and added to the corners of my base paper. I've then layered up some of the plainer patterned papers under my photo. As I have a busy background, plainer papers work best.
I've used embellishments from the Boho Sunshine collection - I love the die-cuts with the cute peace symbols and smiley faces! Then I have used a shipping tag from my stash with some yellow twine
I've finished off my page with my title - using a mix of foam stickers from the Boho Sunshine range and some regular foam thickers.
