Hello everyone & welcome to the AAS blog today :)
I am continuing on with more creating using Echo Park's Jack & Jill collection - the boy side.
This is my 3rd layout with this range & I'm loving the different layout's I've created so far...and this collections versatility. It is a great collection for masculine pages, whether they be little boys or big boys....or it would even suit non-gender type layouts as well.
"Be Awesome"
I really couldn't go past using the reverse side of the "Pool" paper for that fabulous orange geometrical background! I have added some random stamping & a few flicks of distress spray stain before starting to layer up my papers & diecuts.
I can't remember exactly which Jillibean Soup mini placemat this is. There are quite a few available in the AAS store, but not this one....but any of the mini placemats would work just as well :)
I have outlined mine with a black journal pen & backed it with some grey cardstock.
I've included a few of the Decorative brads here & there on the page - they add great interest & a bit of extra height to the page as well.
Here are a few pieces from the Ephemera diecut pack, as well as one of the pieces that I cut from the Adventure paper, which is the piece with the red arrow saying "Boys this way"....I used my craft knife to cut out the end piece of the arrow so that it could overlap onto the photo.
I've also cut out some of the little cameras from the camera paper again & popped them up on foam tape
I've added a bit of strip journaling & a little cluster of decorative brads & a 2Crafty geotag that I've coated in gesso & then coloured with my big brush pens.
I've used one of the stickers from the Alpha Sticker sheet for my title....Be Awesome - love it!
This little banner was cut from one of the pieces on the Travel paper....I only wanted the banner pieces, so I cut them out from the kraft coloured background that they were on, and I've put them up on some foam tape.
And here's a close up of the main area of the page.
I've used a few small torn pieces of the Ruler decorative tape randomly on the page as well.
Next is a few small projects for my Kaisercraft DT work using one of the new
May releases, "Say Aloha"
"Live out Loud" Canvas
Firstly I created a bit of texture on the background using the new Geo Quarters template...and then added some colour using Lime Green Kaisermist...with a few splashes of Orange Kaisermist too.
I've layered up a variety of PP's & extended them out over the edges of the canvas.
There's also lots of Collectables & Sticker pieces mixed in there as well.
LOVE all the tropical leaves in this range's Collectables pack!
They are great for adding into clusters :)
I then added a cluster of Collectables & paper blooms...plus a few of the Collectables butterflies <3
This really was a FUN collection to work with....so bright & cheery!!
