Final Pink Paislee Atlas Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hello

Last day of June, that's half the year gone, already! But as it's not quite a new month I have one more layout to share using the fabulous Atlas Collection by Pink Paislee. Loved this collection and am finishing the month with another London layout.

Tower of London

I'm sure I have mentioned a few times now that I love the colours in this collection, the two blues are perfect for travel photos that contain a lot of blue sky or water and the other colours work nicely together.

A couple of close-ups:

To embellish this page I have used a few bits and pieces from my stash, alongside the Atlas Embellishments and some other travel ranges such as Jillibean Soups Sightseeing Stew.

My background is some white cardstock that I have used watered down inks to create a pale blue background. I've finished off my page with some Thickers to bring in a little more yellow, a date tag and clear embellishment from the ephemera pack in the Atlas Collection.

Thanks for visiting and I will be back next week with some brand new collections!

Basic Grey Tea Garden & Kaisercraft Into The Wild - by Linda Eggleton

Good morning everyone & welcome to the last Friday of June....eeek!

I have one more layout to share with you all, again using the fabulous

This time I've used a photo that is kind of Christmas themed.....

"Jump"

I have used the plain pink side of the Jasmine paper for the background, and have started off by adding a small amount of textured stencil work using the Crafter's Workshop 12x12 Tiny Circles template with some modelling paste.  I then chose a variety of leftover pieces to layer up behind the photo.

The photo is one that my kids took of themselves....they did a little photo shoot & gave the photos as a gift last Christmas, and not sure if you can see properly, but they are wearing cute Christmas hats :)  This one is of my son & his g/f jumping for joy, I guess....in anticipation of Santa coming! lol

The lemon coloured circles on the background were cut from the Spiced paper...which is covered in these large spots on one side.  I then used a few different coins - 20c, 10c & 5c, to trace & cut out the centre of some of the circles - making sure they weren't all perfectly centre.  I have distressed & inked all the edges & also used the smaller pieces that were cut from the centre of some of the circles, just to vary the sizes & give it a more balanced look.

At the top right of the photo I've added a small cluster of Green Tara flowers, Flutterby Flair, sticker from the Element sticker sheet & some punched leaves & butterflies.

Here is a close up of the stencil work & the cut circles.

I have used a few pieces of 2Crafty chipboard - some of the Chevron Bits that I've coloured red with my Gelatos...straight onto the raw chipboard, and also one of the Polaroid Frames that is sitting over the photo.  I then used the ringed circle piece from the Element sticker sheet over the top of the Polaroid Frame & have put some small pieces of foam tape underneath, adding more height to the layered area of the photo.  I love the effect this gives of double framing the photo, which really draws the focus to the photo.....and also ties in with the rest of the cut circles.

The title is using the lemon circle alphas from the Alpha sticker sheet, and I have mounted them onto circles cut from the English Breakfast paper with
foam tape for more height again.

Here is a close up of the main area of the page.
I have added my journaling around the edges on 3 sides of the page.

A list of products with links to the AAS store is at the bottom of this post :)

Next I have my very last layout as DT member for Kaisercraft, using the super cool

"Explore the Zoo"

It was REALLY hard to choose a background paper for my one & only layout.
I tend to use my fav's for my background....and there were just too many fav's with this one! lol
I finally decided on Savannah & have layered up a few papers at the top of the layout, including as piece cut from the specialy diecut paper - Desert...this is such a COOL diecut paper!!

I've used a variety of diecut collectable pieces....and also some
stamped images using the stamp set.

Also some stickers from the sticker sheet.

More collectables...and a bit of a close up of the Desert diecut paper.

My title is one of the diecut words from the collectables pack, and I've added some texture to it using modelling paste & then painting with mist.

I've also used one of the other stamps in this collection - Cheetah texture stamp....perfect for some background stamping!

There is also another texture stamp with this collection - Zebra!

And some more of the stamping detail.
A lot of the collectables & stamped images I have put up onto foam tape to give
some dimension to the page.

Kaisercraft Into the Wild by Fiona Johnstone

Hello

Today I am sharing two layouts created with the fantastic Into the Wild collection by Kaisercrafts, perfect to get those Zoo and other wildlife photos scrapped! Think browns, oranges and greens and fab animal prints with this fun collection.

My first layout to share is Sloths

This is my favourite photo from our visit to Singapore Zoo back in 2013. I was so close to this mumma sloth and her baby I could of touched her!

I have used Kraft cardstock for my background, it goes perfectly with this range and used an old Crafters Workshop mask in a combination of greens and brown spray inks to create a jungle themed background. Then I've used multiple paper layers including the fabulous diecut from the range on my page. I've used the arrow part of the die-cut under my photo and both the orange circle strip at the bottom of my page and the orange strip at the top are all from the die-cut.

A close-up of my page details:

I've used the Zoo sticker and an arrow from the Collectibles pack, a WRMK enamel heart,  a flair button and wood veneer speech bubble.
And on the other side, my title from some older Thickers, a Kaisercraft resin flower and a Collectible from the Into the Wild collection.

And my second layout;  Do Not Feed the Animals

This is a fun page, a photo op we took advantage of on one of our visits to Wild Life Sydney. This crocodile is always a hit with the kids.

Once again I have used Kraft cardstock for my background, it just goes so well with this collection. My background is again in greens and browns, but I have used a crocodile skin background and some dots. The PL style cut outs on the papers are perfect as titles, I just loved this one with my photo choice :)

I've used some wood veneer again, they always look great on Kraft. Also as usual the stickers and collectibles from the range. I love the little titles that are included in the collectible packs, such as the one Explore I have used on the bottom of my page.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Basic Grey Tea Garden & Kaisercraft Fiesta! - by Linda Eggleton

Hello there & welcome.

Today I have another layout to share using the lovely

This time I've used some travel photos & gone for papers that suited - mostly greens,
which shows that this really is quite a versatile collection :)

"Lough Caragh"

I have used the Green Tea paper as my base, and I've added a small amount of stenciled texture to it using a Teresa Collins stencil & modelling paste.  I also used the Mint paper to add the
white border to the page.

I've grouped together a few different Green Tara flowers & leaves, as well as a few stickers from the Elements sticker sheet to create a cluster....and you can also see some of the stencil work here.

I added another smaller cluster at the upper left of the photos, again Green Tara flowers, Element sticker & a cute Flutterby flair....and just below that I've included some yummy 2Crafty Chevron Bits that I've coloured lime green with my Gelatos - these are one of my favourite 2Crafty pieces, as they are super versatile & can be added to any type of layout & they ALWAYS look fabulous!

More Chevron bits on the opposite side of the photos....and the title is using the alpha stickers, which has 3 different sized & styles of alpha stickers, which makes it awesome value!

Across the bottom of the photos I've added a border sticker from the Element sticker sheet....I wanted to add some blue to the page, to pick up the blue in the water & sky in the photos.

A list of products with links to the AAS store can be seen at the bottom of this post.

Next I have some of my Kaisercraft DT work to share with you all, using the bright & funky
Fiesta! collection.
The name of this collection describes it to a T!

I was a little pushed for time creating for this month, so I have only managed to create a set of cards.
"Thinking of You"
I started by picking out a few of my favourite papers & have layered them up & finished off with a centre piece that I've stamped using the Fiesta stamp set - this is a super cool stamp set, I tell ya!
& a cluster of blooms, collectables & some cotton thread.
The centre circular piece was cut using the full circle piece of the Circle Card Flip die that was released this month.

There are a few stamps that come with this collection - called Aztec & Geo
I have used the Aztec stamp on all 3 cards....it is a set of super cool geometric strips.

I've added some veneer brackets that I've painted white for a little bit of contrast.

Kaisercraft products – Arriba P1862, Paper Pad PP971, Collectables CT829, Fiesta clear stamp set CS226, Aztec Texture stamp CS219, Sunset paper bloom F634, Hot Pink paper bloom F663, Sea Breeze mini paper bloom F648, Hot Pink Rhinestone SB702, Circle Card Flip Die DD111
Other – Cotton thread,  Button, Bracket veneers, Foam tape, Butterfly punches,  Archival Ink

  "You Make Me Happy"

Again, very similar design...with layers of PP & a circular centre piece.
All 3 cards also have a little clump of messy cotton & some stamping using the Aztec stamp set.

Other – Butterfly veneer, Flair button,  Cotton thread,  Foam tape,  Archival Ink

"Hello Beautiful"

The third card is pretty much similar to the first 2 in design principle
just to tie them all together as a set.

More Pink Paislee Atlas by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back again with another travel themed layout using the fabulous
 Pink Paislee Atlas collection.
A bit in love with how versatile this collection is, it has so many colours,
yet they all work together so well.

My layout I'm sharing with you today is View from the Top

This is another one of those photos I have sitting around waiting for the right paper or inspiration! I think the blues in this collection won me over, they really go nice with the sky and water in this photo, with the lighter blue and darker blue patterned papers. Orange highlights for the touches of colour in the view and bringing in the teal towards the bottom of the layout that compliments the closer buildings.

I've created a background in the co-ordinating blue and orange combo using watered down Distress Stain and stamping in navy.

I've utilised the fabulous embellishments from the Atlas Collection once again - my all time favourite tags and the ephemera, combined with a couple of other embellishments from recent travel themed ranges; the wood veneer from MME and some Jillibean soup stickers:

A close-up of the other side, more MME wood veneer and a cute October Afternoon Tin Pin.

Thanks for stopping by, make sure you head over and check out the new look store!!

Till next week

Basic Grey Tea Garden & Kaisercraft Secret Garden - By Linda Eggleton

Good morning scrappers

Today I am back to share another layout using Basic Grey - Tea Garden collection.
This collection has quite a mix of colours & patterns....some of which are quite bold.  If you're not into using such bold colours/patterns, you will find that the reverse side of the paper is usually quite different & perhaps more to your liking....so don't let papers like this scare you off using them!

I also have my Kaisercraft DT work with another very pretty collection, Secret Garden, which is at the end of the post.

"Missing You"

I have used the reverse side of the Rose Hip paper - I love the soft yellow in this paper & the patterns are gorgeous too.  I have left the background as is, firstly because I like it as is, and secondly, time was short this week! lol

I have cut my patterned papers into varying sizes & layered up behind the photo & have included a 2Crafty Polaroid Frame in amongst the layers...I cut the frame into 2 pieces & have placed them at different sides & directions on the page.  There's also some element stickers &
a paper doily in the mix as well.

I've used Green Tara & Petaloo flowers in my cluster, with one of the gorgeous Petaloo Darjeerling white paper butterflies, and a MME wooden button from my stash.

I also added another smaller cluster at the opposite corner of the photo....and have included a little bird that I fussy cut from the reverse side of the Chai paper {there's also lots of gorgeous roses on this paper that would be great for cutting out & using to embellish}.

Here's a close up of one of the pieces of the 2Crafty Polaroid frame that I've coated in gesso & then coloured with Gelatos.....plus there's a few element & alpha stickers for the title.

Some more 2Crafty - I love these beautiful flying birds!
These have been coloured the same way & have some Kaisercraft Rhinestones added for their eyes.  You can also see the 2nd half of the Polaroid frame at the top of the paper layers that I've also coloured with a different coloured Gelato.

The thin strips running across the centre of the page were cut from the English Breakfast paper.
The pic is of my Granny in Ireland <3 & I will be adding more journaling to the back of the page.

Next I have my Kaisercraft DT work using the first new release collection for June - Secret Garden.
Again, this is another pretty one!

"Florist on Grafton"

I've used the reverse side of the Wildflower paper for my background...which has a soft pretty pink text all over it <3.

I've layered a few papers that I cut into banner shapes in under the photo & then created a little cluster using paper blooms & collectables pieces.

And also added a few of the stickers from the sticker sheet.

More diecut collectables pieces...up on some foam tape, and one of the border stickers from the sticker sheet across the top of the torn pieces of PP.

The pink & white alpha stickers are Kaisercraft...with some more collectables & strip journaling.

I've also splashed a bit of Lime Green KaiserMIST randomly on the page :)

The pic was taken on Dublin's most famous street for shopping - Grafton Street (which is actually more of a pedestrian mall...although does have vehicle access for deliveries etc).  This little florist stall was so bright & colourful & really gave the area a major lift.

Kaisercraft products – Wildflower P1846, Posy P1847, Forget-Me-Not P1851, Paper Pad PP970,  Collectables CT828, Sticker Sheet SS283, Coconut paper bloom F627, Fairy Floss mini paper bloom F657, Iceberg mini paper bloom F647, Coral alpha stickers AS256, White alpha stickers AS252, Lime Green KaiserMIST KM104,
Other – Border punch, Alpha stickers

Next is a card....
And it's a little different to my normally plain cards!
This one I have used one of the new Kaisercraft Card Creations Dies - Circle Card Flip!

"Make a Wish"

So as you can see, it's not a normal flat card.  Just by using the Circle Card Flip die....your card transforms into more of a 3D pop up card!

This is the die set -

Which consists of 3 pieces - a full circle, half circle & a smaller half circle.
By using the smaller half circle on what would normally be the inside/back of your card, it creates a little round tab that the front cover of the card can slot into to stand/display your pop-up card.
And the larger half circle, I've used on the front folded edge of the card to create a half circle that pops up from the rest of the card.  I then added a circular collectables piece to it, rather than using the full circle die....hope that all makes sense!

I've added a small cluster of paper blooms & punched leaves.
This pic is with the card closed.

And also some punched butterflies.

Kaisercraft products – Posy P1847,  Paper Pad PP970,  Collectables CT828,  Sticker Sheet SS283,  Circle Card Flip Die DD111,  Iceberg paper bloom F630,  Fiary Floss mini paper blooms F652, White premium cardstock CD601, Ice Blue rhinestone SB774
Other –  Butterfly & Leaf punches, foam tape.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get through to the bottom of this post!
I do hope you have enjoyed your visit & I also hope you have been inspired :)

Until next time....Happy Scrapping!  xx
