Merry Christmas layout by Rachel Lowe:
Happy Boxing Day to you all!
I hope you had the most wonderful Christmas day and today you are somewhat relaxing.
I have another Christmas layout for you today using Echo Park I Love Christmas collection.
I just adore this photo of my youngest captivated by the lights on the tree, this says the magic of Christmas to me!
I have cut a 4 1/2 inch strip of the snow flake paper but before attaching I have punched 3 layers of scollop borders to add visual interest.
I then set about adding embellishments around my photo.
I added the tree ornament which I also added a brad for some sparkle to mimic my tree lights in my photo.
I then added the Toy Shop chipboard piece with foam tape and tucked the chipboard snowman slightly under it. I finished this cluster off with a die cut snow flake attached with foam tape.
I added another brad to the left of my photo on the scollop border layers.
I then chose a journal card to match my photo (you could choose another one to suite your photo).
I sewed on the journal card in a random manner.
I added the December 25 banner die cut and finished off with another brad.
I then added another brad on my tree (all of this done before I attached the journal card to my page).
I attached the chipboard Santa with foam tape .
Against the white cardstock these colours are stunning!
This design can be used for so many different layouts not just this one.
You could also add two 6x4 inch landscape photos if you wanted to.
Well thats Christmas done for another year and I am already focused on the new year, bring on 2017 I say!
Thank you for stopping by today.
Enjoy the rest of the week and see you in 2017!

Christmas Cuties and Card/Tag Set by Rachel Lowe:
The week before Christmas and I am sure like me you are vey busy getting ready for the day!
Christmas is a wonderful opportunity to take photos.
I have to admit that each year prior to the actual day I buy some props and bribe my children for half an hour to take some Christmas themed shots, all in the name of scrapbooking of course!
This photo is of my daughter and our very old cat NOT happy being included in this yearly ritual!
This Christmas collection by Echo Park, I Love Christmas is gorgeous and remains traditional in its theme and colours.
I am a huge fan of wood grain background papers and this one was no exception. I splattered some gold on it with colour shine and set aside to dry.
I then inked in gold the 2Crafty chipboard title 'Christmas Cuties'.
I have cut a 5x8 inch strip of the red stripe paper and attached to the right of my wood grain paper.
I love the deer paper and cut a 3 inch strip and attached over the red stripe paper.
Here I created the tree with ornaments feature using the chipboard pieces. You will note at the top of the tree I have attached the angel brad and on the baubles smaller rhinestone brads.
I then glued my title at the bottom of my photo.
To finish off I have attached the chipboard deer with foam tape and added a small chipboard snowflake.
This is a quick layout to put together but is still very striking.
So when the Christmas rush is over and you have a little down time you could make your own Christmas Cuties layout!
As I was on a roll I made some Christmas cards and two tags with 2Crafty Chipboard being the star!
I have used the papers and chipboard from the EP I Love Christmas but to add a wow factor I have used:
To add texture to my Deer chipboard pieces I firstly painted with Bo Bunny gold dot glitter paste.
When dry I inked in gold to give it a deeper gold effect.
The tree I simply inked in gold.
I have added sewing to my cards to create extra texture.
Not time consuming to make but lovely to receive all the same!
I will be back on boxing day so I will wish you all a very safe and happy Christmas spent with your family and friends.
Don't forget to take lots of photos!

Be Happy Layout by Rachel Lowe:
Today I have another layout using the new girl collection by Bella BLVD Addison.
This collection is themed for an older girl.
With this layout I have used the die cuts that totally reflect my teenage daughters life loves, her phone and music!!
The photo of course is a selfie on her phone which I asked for so I could use it for this layout and make it even more authentic.
As the papers are bright and patterned I have used black bazzill for contrast.
I have cut three different sized plaid paper pieces. I have then layered them on slight angles. I have sewn at the top and bottom of the black/white plaid paper piece. I then tucked under this piece a designer clip finished off with a sticker. I love the music tab so I sewed on it and attached to the other side of my photo.
Under this I have attached the ric rac sticker border and under this I have attached a cut down paper border strip (be Happy) and sewn over it to add interest.
I then attached my photo with foam tape to create height.
I then attached a tab behind the photo. I have layered two heart stickers and attached to the side of my photo.
Of course I had to add the phone (always in my daughters hand!!). On the other side of the photo I have attached the ear phones and 'so crazy' die cut (which is slightly tucked under my photo).
To finish of I have added two die cut music notes and some small sticker hearts.
I think anyone with a teenage girl will totally get this layout!
Thank you for stopping by today and see you next week.
xXx
