Hey Scrappy Friends, Kel here today sharing a page using the new Simple Stories Say Cheese Classic Pooh collection.
I'm looking forward to using this collection to document photos of all my boys in their younger years.
The colours, patterns and icons in this range are so sweet.
Here is a my page..
I have used one of the subtle papers as my main base of the page, then added some blue cardstock and the red paper strips along the edges to enhance the page.
I started with adding two papers from the 6 x 8 paper pad to frame my photo.
I have some 2Crafty hexagons (coming to the shop soon) that I painted red and blue to match the collection then popped some papers behind them, then cut some more hexagons from the papers to create a vertical design down my page. I then filled the hexagons with die cuts, stickers, foam stickers and brads.
To the bottom left of my page I used the Pooh and Piglet from the page pieces to create a focal element to the page, adding a foam heart to the balloon.
My title word 'Together' is also from the Page Pieces.
I finished my page adding some word phrase stickers from the 12 x 12 sticker sheet..
I hope you are inspired and check this collection out in the store...it is SO cute!
This week I found the perfect paper for my photos from last years Sydney Cherry Blossom festival with Uniquely Creatives Daydream collection:
Cherry Blossom Festival
The State of Bliss paper was just the perfect background with its beautiful cherry blossom pattern across it. I have teamed it up with two other papers from the range to matt the photo and a small doily to add to the softness of the page.
The 2Crafty chipboard Cherry Blossom branch was the next choice and I created a dimensional branch using some Green Tara cherry blossoms and some smaller blooms. Love the effect and it frames my photo.
I've added some ephemera from another Uniquely Creative collection - Coastal Bliss - they tag and word just fit well with the colours on my layout. I added a little Hello button from my stash which is from another UC collection.
I finished off my layout with some gold alpha thickers from my stash, popped perfectly on the page and some small white thickers to match.
Back with one more using the fab Toddler Time collection by 49andMarket.
Love
I just loved this background paper with the leafy frame around it but added a little edge of the yellow paper to the sides, and mounted my photo with it to make it pop a little more. I also used some of the advertising strips to add layers to my page - then a fussy cut tag from one of the papers in the collection. I added some laser cut elements to the tag, including the cute ephemera heart and twine piece
Next, I added some more pops of yellow with the laser cut elements doily and chipboard flowers before getting some small titles from both.
I finished off with the chipboard title love to the top of my page.
Hey Everyone, it's Kel here today sharing a page using using the Simple Stories Front Porch collection.
This collection has a lot of warm tones with a vintage type vibe and has a family/home focus which I think could be used to document so many photos we have.
Here is a look at my page.
Im documenting a photo of my Dad with all his grandchildren that was taken many years ago.
I used the woodgrain in the papers as my background, then used four different papers from the collection to add horizontal strips across my page. There is a paper that has gorgeous doily/lace looking strips which I fussy cut in co-ordinating colours to lay under each strip.
I placed my photo in the middle of the strips then added flower clusters left to right down the page, with two of the clusters placed diagonally on my photo.
In the top and bottom clusters I have added some 2Crafty Heart Clumps which I painted white so they popped off the papers.
For my title I used the word 'Blessed' from the 12 x 12 Sticker Sheet along with a house...
I finished the page adding some tiny phrase stickers from the collection and adding some hand stitching to the paper strips.
I hope you look at this collection in the shop it really is beautiful.
I have another share today with Toddler Time but with a different focus today, I have scrapped my dog, Harry!!
Best Ever
The dog paper in this range is just perfect for scrapping our precious pooches. I have teamed it up with a neutral orange and some brown to match. For my background I have used a Vicki Boutin stencil and inked some hearts in green ink.
I've torn up some paper strips for my design then tucked a lace strip from the laser cut elements under a paper layer, next I have found a frame from an older 49andMarket collection over my photo of Harry and added a cluster of embellishments from the laser cut elements.
From the laser cut outs I've used the small green frame to make a little quote, journaling with the some older chipboard and added some older 49andMarket leaves to the top and bottom of my page and some butterflies before finishing with the title Best Ever. Older 49andMarket pieces are perfect to mix and match with the new collections.
I have another share with the fabulous Toddler Time collection by 49andMarket today using a multiphoto design to capture -
Playtime
For this design I have used a cute scene paper of kids playing before layering up my photos onto some patterned paper and then fussy cutting the tags from another paper in the pack, added some holes and twine, and tucking them behind my photos with some 49and Market Essential filmstrips.
Next I have hit the Lasercut elements pack and Chipboard pack to embellish my layout:
A close up of the cute kids playing on the background paper - I have added the journaling fussy cut from one of the papers:
The chipboard title playtime across my photos to tie them all together
