Hi All
Today I'm back to share one last layout using Echo Park's "Capture Life" collection....as well as some of my Kaisercraft DT work using the gorgeous new "Mix & Match" collection that has been really popular!
But first some Echo Park!
But first some Echo Park!
This one is a bit multi-coloured, which suits the photos well.
"Let's Rumble"
The background paper with the arrows is one of my fav papers from this collection, so of course it had to be used for the background! I had previously used a piece of it on another layout, which I had cut from the centre of the paper....so on this layout, that meant having to cover up the hole that was left!!! No biggie....it just means that the pieces of paper that I've layered under the photos are a tad bigger than what I'd normally use.

A small cluster of Green Tara flowers...the yellow one I've coloured with my Gelatos to give it a brighter appearance.
And there's those FAB alpha stickers again :)
A few word stickers from the Alpha sticker sheet...and the super cool 2Crafty word circle that I've also coloured with Gelatos after coating in Gesso first.
The banner shaped piece of paper under the photos I've also coloured with my trusty Gelatos. It was originally white with the black chevron arrows...but I felt that the page needed a touch of orange, so I rubbed my orange Gelato over the paper & then used a wet brush to spread the colour.
Just one of the reasons I LOVE my Gelatos...great for altering the colour of just about anything :)
Ok now for some Kaisercraft - Mix & Match
This collection is a FABULOUS mix of red, white, black & kraft...and I'm sure you'll agree that the colours look fantastic together :)
"Pre 20's drinks"
I decided to go with the Kraft coloured paper for my background & it also has that fabo chicken wire print in white. It is the reverse side of the "Lace" paper
I hand cut the chevrons from the "Crosses" paper (again, the B side...lol).
The chevron's on this paper are red and kraft in colour....I needed the kraft ones to be white, so I painted them in gesso - problem solved :D (I love being able to alter the colour of things if they don't suit what I am wanting on the page!) The chevrons are mounted up on foam tape to give them
height & definition on the page.
I've used pieces from the Collectables pack, Doily & Alpha sticker sheets, some paper blooms....along with some 2Crafty chipboard feathers for my cluster.
And you can see, bits of my journaling along the bottom of the last chevron.
I had wanted to do the journaling in white, but, of course, my white journal pen
did not want to cooperate!
The arrows are also from the Alpha Sticker Sheet, as is the kraft alpha stickers.
I've splashed some red, black & white mists around on the background,
as well as some script stamping.

Again, I've gone for a kraft coloured background & I've added some template work with modelling paste, and some chevron stamping on top of that. The template is a new release one called "Quarters" - it has 4 different patterns, each taking up a 1/4 of the template :)
I fussy cut one of the butterflies from the "Butterflies" paper (yay, this one isn't the B side!! lol) and added some paper blooms, heart sticker & fabric button to form my cluster.
I've added a few pieces of cream lace in between my paper layers...as well as a new printed tape "Black Arrows" which will be released next month!
I've added my trademark strip journaling to tell the story about these 2 meeting
& becoming friends <3

Next is an altered photo frame
The frame was bought from one of the cheap shops, and I made sure that the front surface of it was flat....knowing that I'd be adhering paper to it. I've used the reverse side of the "Confetti" paper, with those fabulous arrows, to cover the front of the frame. I've also splashed some red & white mists randomly over the paper.
I added a pretty cluster to the top left side of the frame....with another butterfly fussy cut from the Butterflies paper, some paper blooms & mini paper blooms, a doily sticker & some diecut leaves using KC red cardstock....and a few buttons.
Across the bottom of the frame I've added one of the cut-off paper strips (it's always worth keeping these!!) along with some hearts from the Doily Sticker sheet mounted on foam tape.
