Simple Stories "The Story of Us" & some Kaisercraft "Be-YOU-tiful" - By Linda Eggleton
Hi everyone...Gosh, the weeks seem to be flying at a hectic pace lately!
How can it be Friday again already?!?
I have quite a bit to share today, so I hope you can grab yourself a cuppa & sit back & enjoy :)
First up is another page using the wedding themed collection from Simple Stories - The Story of Us.
I have created another page for my daughter's graduation....
"Con-grad-ulations"
I've used mostly tiny scrap pieces for this one...including the little cut off strips from the bottom of the papers, cutting strips into various lengths & arranging them in a cross formation before adding the photo & more paper & diecut layers.
I've also added a bit of textured stencil work using a Teresa Collins stencil that has lots of tiny chevron arrows. The circles are a Memory Box die - Loopy Rings, and the other punchinella type circles are another Memory Box die - Contempo Circle Border that I've cut into strips & layered with the other strips of PP. These are both my fav die's atm!
The title is made up using the 3 different alpha stickers from the Expressions sticker sheet.....and some diecuts from the Bits & Pieces pack to the right of the photo. AND I still have a heap of these diecuts left....there is a HEAP in this pack which makes it great value!
I've used lots more of the diecut pieces from the Bits & Pieces pack...including the gorgeous polaroid frame that's framing the photo...and also the tag to the left of the photo, which I've layered a few 2Crafty Heart Silhouettes on top.
Here's a small cluster of Green Tara & Petaloo flowers, with some more diecut pieces using the Memory Box die - Loopy Rings. I've also added a bit of stitched stamping on the background as well.
Next up ....
"Our Engagement"
I've used the "You complete me" paper for the background & have mirrored the smaller doily on the right side of the page with a much larger doily shape that I cut from the "Music/Gold Foil" paper.
I first cut it into a circle using a dinner plate as a template, and then using the corner punch from the Swirling Lace around the page punch set, I punched around the edge to give it a doily look :)
The row of hearts is one of the diecut pieces from the Bits & Pieces pack and I've sat it up on foam tape to give it a bit of height off the page. I've also been at it again with the Memory Box Contempo Circles Border punch that I've cut into random pieces & layered in various spots around the page.
Here I've used another of the 2Crafty word circles, that I've coloured using my Gelatos... as well as one of the centre hearts from the Heart Silhouette's.
I've clustered a few Green Tara & Petaloo flowers togther & used more alph stickers from the Expressions sticker sheet for the title.
There's no journaling on this page as yet....but it will be added to the back of the page.
Next I have a few of my Kaisercraft DT projects to share featuring the amazing
Be-YOU-tiful collection. This collection has a mixture of both floral & earthy toned papers, and for my first project I've picked out mostly the earthy tones to create this layout....
"Prague"
I absolutely LOVE this background piece, Glamorous, that has a corrugated look to it....so no background work to cover any of it up! I've used a variety of papers to create a few layers in under my photos & have torn, distressed & inked the edges to help give a rustic feel to the page.
A few KC blooms & Collectables diecuts to create a small cluster.
More Collectables pieces arranged in between layers at various points over the page....and I've also added some punched butterflies & diecut buckle.
The alpha stickers are also by Kaisercraft - Natural that I've inked to make them a bit darker.
Photos are from our trip to Prague, almost 30 years ago - yikes, that makes me feel old!
Next is a canvas, and I wanted to try and really show the versatility of this collection, this time using the more "prettier" papers from the collection....
"Faith Canvas"
First I created my background with the Bubbles template & some modelling paste...then coloured with Gelatos and a few splashes of glimmermist.
next I layered up a variety of papers & then added a cluster of blooms & Collectables diecuts...along with some diecut leaves
I also added a few punched butterflies that I've layered on top of each other & finished off with a pearl in the centre of each.
And lastly, is a fairly simple card....
"Chase your Dreams"
Lots of clean straight lines for this one...with the exception of the punched border strip.
And I've added this gorgeous tag from the Collectables pack on top & finished it off
with a ribbon tied in a bow.
So that is it from me for another week, until next time....happy scrapping :)

More Kaisercraft Bow & Arrow by Fiona Johnstone
Hello everyone
I have another layout to share today, using this months Kaisercraft collection, Bow & Arrow. I really enjoyed creating with this range, lovely colours and patterns that suit many types of photos. This weeks layout is a group shot of my kids with two of their cousins, it is very hard to get all six together with everyone in different states, so we always try to get some group shots whenever some are together!
For this layout I wanted to utilise some of the funky arrows in the collectibles pack and also play with the cool chevron die-cut. I have added some focus on the photo by using a clear photo overlay to draw attention to the subjects, while leaving the rest of the photo to blend in with the papers. I've gone with a clean design but added a few splashes of ink to add a little more of the brown to the layout.

A couple of close-ups of my embellishment cluster and title. Love the "What a special moment" quote on the journaling spot. The October Afternoon hearts from the heart and star chipboard pack are getting a lot of use at the moment, they seem to have a colour to match everything!!
Another close up of my little flower cluster incorporating the colours from the papers. I only had white in the apple blossoms, just grabbed an ink pad in a tone to match the papers and randomly dabbed the edges of the petals.
Thank you for stopping by,
Till next week

Simple Stories "The Story of Us" & Kaisercraft "Pitter Patter" - By Linda Eggleton
Hello everyone & Happy Friday to you all :)
I have quite a bit to share today, so I'll get right to it.
First up is a layout using Simple Stories - The Story of Us , which as you'll recall, is a wedding themed collection. But for this layout I've managed to create a page using one of my holiday pics from Ireland last year....I love when paper collections are versatile like this!
"St Stephen's Green"
I've used the wood side of the wood/silver foil paper for my background and have added some textured stencilling & dabbing of some watered down gelatos....using a scrunched up plastic bag
The spray of flowers & leaves coming down from the cluster were fussy cut from the Forever & Always paper....and the rest of the cluster is made up of Green Tara & Petaloo flowers, as well as a little leftover piece of 2Crafty chipboard that was cut from a bigger piece on a previous project.
The Green artisan border poking out at the top & bottom of my paper layers is fussy cut from the Happily Ever After paper & then I coated it in gesso before colouring it green with my Gelatos...then added a bit of Kaisercraft stamping over the top.
How cute is that little camera! It is one of the pieces from the Bits & Pieces pack and I've mounted it on some foam tape so that it sits up off the page a bit <3 And you can also see at the top of the page where I've used my new fav die from Memory Box - that I love cutting up into small pieces to add here & there on my page :)
St Stephen's Green is a gorgeous old park in Dublin....with paths & little lakes with ducks & other birdlife etc...plus lots of playing areas for children. It really is a beautiful old park & I love this photo with the trees just starting to turn & some that have fallen on the path :)
Next up is some DT work that I've created for Kaisercraft
using the very cute "Pitter Patter" collection, which comes with both pink & blue papers & coordinating collectables & stickers.
"Baby Boy" Layout
I've layered up a few of the blue papers in behind my photo and used the
Little Feet paper for my background
There are so many gorgeous pieces in the collectables pack - which comes in
both a boy pack & a girl pack
"Baby Girl" Altered photo album cover
I have covered the album using the Special Delivery paper...just like you'd cover a school book, and then added some layers & embellishments the same as if it was a layout :)
Here's a close up of the cluster work....which includes LOTS of pieces
from the Girl Collectables pack
"Baby Boy" Card
Just a really quick card using papers from the 6x6 paper pad & diecuts from the Boy Collectables pack - I love those little hexagons & the cute little babies feet that I've layered on top of each other with some foam tape.
And another quick easy card...a few papers & collectables pieces layered on top of a paper doily :)
That's all from me for this week....I hope you have been inspired :)
Until next time, happy scrapping! xx

Simple Stories "The Story of Us" - by Linda Eggleton
I have used the Mr & Mrs paper to create a framed look for my page....carefully cutting out the centre with my craft knife, making sure to leave all the pretty little flowers in the corners in tact.
I then used the "Brokeh" side of the Silver Chevron/Brokeh paper as the centre of the page....and have added a bit of stencil work using modelling paste.
A little cluster of flowers, the pale blue/grey one I've given a coat of gesso to reduce the amount of blue in the flower & to help it blend better on the page. Here you can see the flowers in the corner of the frame that I've gone around with a craft knife.
Another cluster, again giving the blue flower a coat of gesso to tone it down a bit. I've also used one of the 2Crafty Word Circles coloured with a black gelato & backed with a small leftover piece of Gold Foil paper...and in the corner you can see some more fussy cutting with my craft knife. The title is using the alpha stickers from the Expression Sticker sheet.
Here's a bit of a close up of the stencil work, using a Prima stencil - Flourish....plus my new favorite die!!! Memory Box - Contempo Circle border....it cuts a piece about 14cm x 4cm, but I have been cutting it up into smaller pieces to add in amongst my layers :))) ....it looks a little like punchinella.
And here is an overall view of the main area of the page...I've also used a few pieces from the Bits & Pieces pack in and around the page in various spots, plus some diecut leaves
in amongst the flower clusters.
Pics are from several years ago for my DD's year 12 graduation night.
Thanks so much for dropping by today :)
Until next time...happy scrapping! xx
