Never Grow Up with Echo Park Lost In Neverland by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

A fun page today created with the new Echo Park Lost in Neverland collection.
I do have the perfect photos for this collection, however the B-Sides would definitely
suit any outdoorsy type photos such as camping with its colours.

Never Grow Up

I love these Disneyland photos, we went up a side alley and there was Peter Pan, no lines! He loved Lilys hat but thought it needed a feather so went about finding a leaf to put in it!  So with this story in mind, I have created my page using the feather paper and then using complimentary greens to create my page.

This 2Crafty feather inked in red and given a little texture is the perfect piece to compliment  the story. I've added some texture with the 2Crafty panel pieces.

My stash of older products I have sorted into colours, making it easy to find the perfect embellishment to compliment your layout - I've used the photo op sticker, some fancy pants shipping tags and a basic grey journaling sticker from this stash.

I've finished up the page with these fun multi-coloured thickers and some enamel dots !

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Beyond Blessed
using Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse
by Kerryn Fry

Good morning all!
This week I have cracked open a new collection,
Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse.
I really loved the softer tones of this collection
and have found them perfect for my family themed photos.
This photo was taken about 4 years ago,
my amazing Dad and beautiful niece.
I changed the photo to B&W as there were too many bright colours.

The page started with a Kraft cardstock base.
I've added colour to the background with Distress Ink and a stencil,
then added some random stamping with black ink.

The photo has been matted with black cardstock
and given some dimension with foam tape.
I have added some paper layers
and loved the pop of the yellow striped paper, Welcome Home
Once all the paper were stuck down,
I have doodled a faux stitch border with a black pen.

The 2 Crafty Birds of Flight have been covered with Distress Paint.
Using Scattered Straw and Wild Honey,
I started with the lighter of the two colours
and then used the darker colour to highlight the wings and tail feathers.

I have hand-cut some elements from the 2x2 Element sheet to embellish the page.
The title piece, journal spot and heart have been mounted on foam tape
to give the page more dimension.

The 2 Crafty Foliage 1 Set were covered with Peeled Paint Distress Paint.
Once dry, I have lightly touched with Shabby Shutters.
I have finished by adding a doodled border around the 3x4 card
to highlight the word 'Love'.

Thanks for visiting the AAS Blog today,
I hope you have been inspired by the page today.
Have a fabulous weekend and happy crafting,
please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.

"Perfect" by Amanda H

Hi AAS fans!

Today's share is all about the florals! Using the My Minds Eye Splendor collection, I combined papers and stickers from the range to create this "perfect" page of my second daughter.

I started with a base paper: Beautiful for the background, as well as using a section of the pink side of the paper to mount the photo.

Next I layered a panel of the Remember paper; I love this text/typed patterned paper.

To finish the page, I layered flower stickers from the Accessory Stickers sheet, as well as some small pieces from my AAS stash.

I ran a piece of white lace across the page, as that matched my daughters dress so well!
Here you can see how I layered flower stickers with the lace, sequins and some Prima flowers.
For the title, I used the grey chipboard word from the More than Words collection by CVS. This pack also had some chipboard hearts so I added these to each cluster as well. I added a coat of Dimensional Magic to them all, for some extra shine!
I repeated more of the same elements in the top left corner of the photo...

\
and on the end of the title. Perfect!
I love the patterned papers in this range, and I love how this page come together!
Thanks for looking,
Amanda

One Awesome Day with Pinkfresh Studio Joyful Day by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

I have another share with the beautiful joyful day collection for you today:

One Awesome Day
For this layout I was drawn to the purples and peaches in the papers, with a touch of greenery to match the background of my photo.

I adore the circle design of the Big Ideas paper and used this as my background, complimenting it with some of the plainer colours from the paper collections B sides.

I chose this cute 2Crafty chipboard design which nicely compliments the patterned paper and inked it in a coral pink to compliment the other papers.

The stunning 49 and Market flowers are so beautiful and the perfect colour for my page. They make the prettiest little clusters. I've finished the page with some stickers from the Joyful Day collection.

Till next week

Love You using Photo Play To The Moon and Back by Kerryn

Good morning all!
Today I have created a double page using the collection,
Photo Play To The Moon and Back.
This is my second page with this range,
I love the variation in the patterned papers that allow any absolutely any topic.
The photos were changed to B&W as they had a little too much green,
plus I also think the primary colours look more vibrant with the B&W.
A much younger Mr nearly 15 attending his first car race.

A very simple background effect for this page.
I started with a Kraft Cardstock base,
then using some gold ink and Picket Fence Distress Paint,
I have stencilled the background using Tim Holz layering stencil Falling Stars.

Once the background had dried,
I started to build the paper layers from the centre of the page.
The 4x4 photos have been lifted with foam tape
and I've cut the 3x4 journal card from Reach for the Stars paper.
To embellish the page, I have hand cut some words from Rocket Man.

The chipboard stars have come from the Love You to the Moon set.
They have been covered with Wild Honey Distress Paint,
randomly swiped with some gold glitter liquid
and then sealed with Dimensional Magic

All of the stars have been propped up with foam tape for added dimension
and then clustered in odd numbers around the page.
I have hand drawn a faux stitch line with a black pen
around the red base patterned paper, We come in Peace
and the journal card.

The 2 Crafty Love You to the Moon Set was perfectly matched to this collection.
The Moon has been covered with Antique Linen Distress Paint.
Once dry, I have applied the gold glitter liquid around the edges
and then finished with a thick coat of Dimensional Magic to seal the glitter.

The title part of the set 'Love You to the Moon & Back'
has been painted with Candied Apple Distress Paint,
randomly added the gold glitter
and then also sealed with Dimensional Magic.
Love the sparkle!

I have punched out some chevrons from black cardstock
to frame each side of the page.

That's my page for this week.
Thank you for dropping in today.
I'm heading away with my Mum for a scrappy weekend.
I hope you enjoy your weekend and have a chance to create.
Please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.

"Happy times", by Amanda Hartmann, using Cocoa Vanilla Studio Happiness Collection

A pinch and a punch for the first day of the month... And it is May!

Welcome to my first page of the month
I used the Cocoa Vanilla Studio "Happiness" collection again.
This time I chose completely different papers and came up with a completely different look!

The two main papers used in this page are: the green back of Frame of Mind, and the turquoise of the Good Vibes paper.  I layered these with a sheet of white cardstock.

I also added a panel wood panel Bright & Beautiful paper, across the middle of the page.

With many awesome stickers and diecuts in the sticker sheet, diecut ephemera and diecut titles, it was quick and easy to embellish this page!

I layered some frames with papers and other diecuts to create this feature to the left of the photo. On top, I added the die cut words to make the title.
More diecuts and stickers combine for a smaller cluster on the corner of the photo.

And more again of those cute little stickers!
And my final touch was to add some light splatters in green. To do this, I used a fine paint brush with Colour Blast Shimmer Spray in Apple of my Eye.

Enjoy your month of May.... I hope that you get a little bit of "Happiness"... in scrapping and in life!

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Create your own Happiness
with Pinkfresh Studio Joyful Day
by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back this week with another new collection from Pink Fresh Studios - Joyful Day! Love the colours in this collection, pinks and purples and greens, so pretty!!

Create your own Happiness

My focus for this page was to create a title going across my page using the big puffy sticker words and the awesome mini puffy stickers alphas. These are just perfect for titles! I decided to use white cardstock as my base so my alphas stood out - so many fun colours.

I chose papers that matched my photo and went with a simple vertical design of paper on the right, before matting my photo with some different patterned papers and adding my large title to the left.

My photo has a lot of white space which was perfect to embellish around without compromising the image. I've used the cardstock stickers and some of the puffy sticker embellishments on the puffy word stickers.

Crazy About You using My Minds Eye Happy Days by Kerryn Fry

Hi Everyone, happy Friday!
Today I'm sharing my third page created with the beautiful collection,
My Minds Eye Happy Days.
I have really enjoyed this collection,
especially the yummy combination of bright colours.
I've actually created a 4th page with this collection to share at some stage.
This is a gorgeous photo of my eldest Great-Niece,
it was taken a few years ago at Christmas time.

The page started with my favourite Kraft Cardstock.
The background has been given a pop using a Crafters Workshop Template
and a mixture of Ripe Permisson & Victorian Velvet Distress Paint.
Once the paint had dried, I have highlighted some of the circles with a white pen.
I've hand cut a few different pieces from the patterned papers to embellish the page.
The flowers, hen and house were all elements cut from different papers,
Free Range, Glad Garden and Ice Cream Dreams.
I have used foam tape to lift each piece to create some depth in the page.
The white pen was used again to add some finishing touches.
I've also used some embellishments from the Ephemera Pack
to create clusters either side of the photo.

Two great 2 Crafty pieces used on this page.
The 2 Crafty title Crazy About You was base coated with gesso.
Once dry, I have roughly swiped Broken China Distress Paint
across the surface, allowing the gesso to peek through.
The title has been given a border with the white pen.

The 2 Crafty Topiary Tree has been painted with colours to match the papers.
The pot was coloured with a mixture of Mustard Seed and Crushed Olive Distress Paint.
The stem was painted with Mowed Lawn
and the flowers with the earlier mixture of Ripe Permisson and Victorian Velvet.
I've outlined the pot and flowers with the white pen.

A simple girly page to finish off the week.
Thank you for visiting the blog today.
I hope you have a fabulous weekend,
filled with plenty of crafting time.
Please join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.
